Do 2x/week BJJ + 4x/week lifting, be certain to eat and sleep well along with a ton of recovery work. A good warm up helps with injury prevention, stretching right afterward is wise too. Recovery work is usually foam rolling, mobility work, and visits to the spa ever so often. Your recovery work has to be on pace with how much time you’re putting on the mats and barbells, otherwise injuries will pop up. Also watch Dr. Mike Israetel’s video on BJJ + lifting, it’s an hour long but there’s a pletho…

These stretches will hit the shoulders, your core, and legs well. Be doing them for two years after lifting or BJJ and it’s definitely a lifesaver: https://phrakture.github.io/starting-stretching.html

Aside from the insane bouts of jealously Brasileiras are awesome.

What works for me is to disqualify them in the same manner. “I don’t date short guys.” “I don’t date blondes either, but if you’re a good girl maybe I’m make an exception.”

Good question!! Consider starting off a weight you consider low and do a lap. If it isn’t challenging then keep going up in weight in 10-20 pound increments until it is.

For those looking for a way to program these in your routine: Do these at 50%-60% of your deadlift 1RM for 100 feet for a few laps, preferably with kettlebells/hex bar/loaded carry apparatus. Be certain to engage your back properly by retracting (racking shoulders back) and then depressing (shoot your arms down) your scapula so you don’t round your spine and shoulders. Doing these with individual weights (kettlebells and loaded carry apparatuses) will test any imbalances you may have, and the he…

Regardless or not this post is true or not, it’s still a valuable lesson in the 33rd Law of Power: discover each man’s thumbscrew.

The better question is why you’re caring about what others think. Let’s others do and think as they please, it’s their business and no one else’s.

+10000 To add on top of this, there’s always something considerably primal about BJJ when it comes to tapping people. Tapping someone and respecting the tap is a way to say that they admit that you could have strangled them or caused serious injury otherwise, but didn’t because that’s the level of power you had over them at that moment. On the other hand, it’s also a way of showing that you’re a step ahead and even though the other fugu may have made all of the right choices, you just happen to …

Because BJJ can help you stay in great shape and can motivate you to live a healthier lifestyle. It also helps with knowing how to defend yourself if the time comes and tends to put everything into perspective after getting close to being strangled or having your arm broken. Can speak from experience, it’s helped me drop over 100 pounds, motivated me to lift, and given me all sorts of confidence. EDIT BJJ is also the most career friendly martial art out there compared to boxing and MT. If you’re…

For sure bro. Don’t care to talk to her about my hobbies (if that) unless I shoot an abortion inside her first.

Reflecting back that’s definitely the case, I’ll be certain to move on unless she makes an explicit counter offer when it comes to logistics.

Duly noted. Either she shows obvious tingles and chases me or it’s time to move on.

So to make sure I’m internalizing the sidebar — making her tingle first and letting her simmer on it would of been the better play if I’m running the aloof game??

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
