I work and have my own place. I'm not being provided for by him and that's not what I'm counting on. I'm not hoping to be rewarded with financial compensation for "picking him up early". I'm with him because I enjoy spending time with him, not because it pays off. If I'm not spending time with him, I see no point to this relationship.

Half of the top all time posts that aren't directed to the men who participate in this sub are basically women saying how they like their traditional relationships and being praised for it. That's not a bad thing, it's a good thing they've found a way to live their life. It's just odd that you'd assume that it's not the case...

I'm frankly kind of pissed off that people think it's okay that he spends so little time with me, but at the same time are encouraging me to put in more of an effort, calling me a bitch, ungrateful and unappreciative. It's been suggested that I move in with him, cook for them to save them money, I should give him more blow jobs, PMs, I should make him lunch more often, etc. Okay, sure. There's nothing wrong with putting in an effort in a relationship, or evaluating what you personally can do to …

A lot of the posts I've seen here are about women who put their husbands careers first and choose themselves to take care of households, and are happy to do it, and are happy to have a community share that with. I didn't say that everyone had a relationship like that, but it makes sense that couples in more traditional relationships are more likely to be found here. I didn't call everyone here SAHMs. But yes, I did expect to find more women here that could provide advice about their spouses work…

We don't have sex at his house, just in mine. I've never fought with his mom, but I think staying out of her way contributes to a good relationship. Cooking at their house isn't something that would help, it was just way too awkward and I don't want to seem patronizing or condescending. They're also obese, to put that into perspective. The pictures of my SO as a fat little kid are hilarious. I'm not going to try to smooth things out with the family, there's no need. They do their own thing, I do…

Are you really going to let this ruin your relationship? Time wise, maybe I didn't convey how little we see each other. We see each other about 5 hours a week. It doesn't feel like a relationship anymore. It feels like I'm having casual sex with a friend 2-3 times a month. It's not only that we're not as committed as a married couple. It's that I know how things will go once we both work full time. I'm not satisfied with someone who doesn't make time for me.

I used the term date very loosely. A date to us now is basically the one evening a week he's set aside to hang out for 2-3 hours. Family business is not something I'm qualified to help with. Here's a my response to someone else about cooking or staying at his house: https://www.reddit.com/r/RedPillWomen/comments/4p2pms/bf_of_6_years_doesnt_prioritize_me_we_dont_spend/d4imce0 It's a fair suggestion, but just wouldn't work in this case.

I have no interest in moving in with his family. They're fine people on a personal level, but we're very different. For example. I like cooking, nice healthy meals. I cooked some salmon, mushroom rosotto, broccoli, and salad. His mom came in, tried to be polite about it, melted cheese on everything she tried to eat, then ordered swiss chalet. This was probably a year ago, and we gave them notice that we were cooking. They order out 5/7 days a week on average I'd say. They don't take care of thei…

Okay. Go tell that to someone complaining about the wage gap.

No, I just expected advice from women who probably experienced similar problems. Given that the nature of a lot of RP relationships is that the husband works a lot, I thought there might actually be some more concrete advice on creating adult solutions. That's an honest response to a rhetorical question, but there it is. But so far this is what's happened: I've basically been told that I'm unappreciative, ungrateful I've been told there's probably an underlying issue with me or my relationship I…

So the problem that he doesn't spend enough time with me isn't a problem with him, it's a problem within me? What does that even mean? Would the solution then be to rid myself of my eagerness to spend time with him? Or just embrace that I'm unsatisfied and keep smiling? Honestly you advice doesn't seem like advice and it's not very coherent.

He doesn't provide for me He doesn't spend time with me Women complain about not spending enough time at home, then they complain.. We don't live together. You also want someone to provide for you I never said that. I understand why you'd assume that in this particular subreddit, so fair enough. But no, that's not the dynamic of our relationship, I'm not with him for his ability to provide. I'm with him because I like him and enjoy our time together. If I'm not getting what I want from this rela…

but I think I'm the only one making compromises with his time. Except... you know... him. Do you think he wants to work 60 hours a week? He is building a future for himself and who ever his SO ends up being. I meant between his family, friends and myself. Throughout, I haven't said "He works too much." or "I want him to stop working.". Are you so shallow that you really don't see that he would rather sit around all day and have lots of sex and have you cook for him? Those aren't the choices. It'…

You also live with your husband, presumably. If you didn't, he would probably make more of an effort to text to at least after work. My SO doesn't.

She should break it off with her hard working SO of six years because he is working moderately long hours for one summer. not acting like he's in a relationship. FTFY. I can see why you might be taking it personally because of your profession and hours. Maybe you make more time for you SO than mine does for me. Maybe she expects less from you than I expect from my SO. Or maybe I am a bitch for not being satisfied. When the one thing I want more of is his time, I'm comfortable rejecting the latte…

This is not TRP way. You're establishing a power dynamic by sitting him down (making the tone of the conversation heavy) and making demands. You're telling him what you want the outcome to be, not how you feel. I understand what you're saying here, and maybe I didn't really convey a few things as I should have in my post. The tone of our talks is much lighter than me making demands of him. It was much more like what you described and saying that I wasn't happy with things, that I felt neglected …

Work will die down, he's only on contract until September. After that he's going back to part time, if for no other reason than school. Family... I don't know if that'll get better. I felt needy, was questioning how wanted I really was, and wondered if/when things were going to go back to normal. That's exactly how I feel. And even if this is a temporary rut in our relationship, I'm not sure he'll handle it well in the future.

One of two things helps me clean: being stressed. If things get organized I feel better and more focused some wine, usually red =)

This week I bought about 40 pounds of potatoes because 10 pound bags were going for $0.25. I asked the manager why, and he said that they ordered 10X as many as they needed, so they needed them gone fast for space. Lucky me =P I took yesterday evening and just made a whole bunch of baked potatoes. Garlic, onion, carrots and bacon gave them really nice flavour, and now I have a filling part of a to-go lunch for work everyday this week. Not as good as the ones my mom makes with roasts, but still p…
