No, diversify your investments, don't put it all in one basket. I have crypto, but its a very small part of my portfolio. If you have access to a 401k, make sure you invest to get the company match. Then go and max out a Roth IRA. If you still have extra funds, then go back to your 401k and contribute more. Once your contributing at least 10% to your 401k, then think about getting a broker account.

Not an issue with me, I am frugal and don't spend a lot on these personal products. Shampoo and Soap from Costco, buy in bulk, last years. I use the deodorant stones, get them from Amazon in pack of two for like $9, one last over a year. For razor, I have an electric plugin I got from Walmart over 13 years ago for $17, replaced the blades once, bout time to be replaced again. Don't shave on my days off.

I think your missing the point. Why would you want to reform a system, that is going to fail. Index funds just track an index. You can have passive dividend index funds. Dividend index funds would pay you a quarterly dividend, that pays for your living expenses. Otherwise, if you had funds that did no pay enough dividends to pay your bills, then you would have to sell some of your funds to fund your life. I do live in a small town. I have to drive at least 25 min to get to work. But I have a small car that gets good gas mileage. I also have a yamaha FZ6. I have no debts, and is putting at least 30% of my income to retirement. I get to go on vacations every-year, so I guess life is good. I like living in a quiet small town with a lower cost of living.

I guess you can convert your wealth to uncut diamonds, charter a boat to the Mariana Trench, and dump them in the ocean, before you die. The only charity I donate to is my retirement fund.
