Imagine it goes horribly wrong. If you are ok with that scenario, go for it. I wouldn't, because even if it went mildly wrong, it would be terrible.

For the first: Yes, text the girl. Or have your friend text the other girl. If you are guys are interested, let them know. Don't be over the top, but be straightforward and clear. For the second: You could try going back to the place to see if she returns, but I would say just move on and don't make the same mistake again.

I'd say go ahead and text the girl you like. I'm not one to play games; I much prefer to be clear and straightforward. I would want the same. As for the kiss, it sounds like you need to ask yourself if it's something you really want to do (you seem kind of on the fence about your #). If you want to and if you're feeling like the timing is right, go for it. Worst that could happen is she says no. But finding out someone isn't interested in you is really, in my opinion, a good thing.

I'd say it's a great setting, if you're both like hiking. Do keep in mind that lots of trails are single file, you'll probably both be sweating, and where you go will affect your chances of other people crossing your path. Those can all be positives or negatives, based on what you two enjoy. I've been hiking as a date (including the escalation) with great success. As for the dog, how well trained is your dog?
