Social media is a failed experiment maybe we just ought to 🛑

Pretty much same. YouTube has regained a lot of traction with me since I started using it for news/political commentary, but “the algorithm” has led me to some interesting social media/pop-culture commentators. Facebook is…a good place to get whatever recent hometown/extended family happenings, horrible place to hang out in the comment section. Snapchat is where I attempt to keep streaks with old friends and send goofy snaps/filters to my husband. Reddit lets me know what the people that are a c…

My husband doesn’t really use Reddit, but I’ll share things I’ve read with him (because some people say some batshit crazy shit—specifically r/Marriage and AITAH/AIO, political discourse, and this sub). His view is the people that use Reddit are there to make sure they aren’t the crazy ones. Of course, everyone seeks validation online, but most people aren’t willing to read more than 2 sentences, let alone construct a coherent narrative of their own. Ergo, Redditors are more into “content” requi…

Because some men are icky and groom inexperienced newly 18 yo girls (or have been grooming them) into abusive relationships. Its not the age gap, its the potential connotations of the age gap. If the fresh 18F (or 18M, females are just more susceptible to domestic abuse) is fully able to recognize unhealthy and abusive patterns in the relationship and has strong support from family and friends (whom can’t be scared off by threats of violence or other), then thats great, be safe and find love.

They’re probably caught up on her body count or “could never be with a woman who takes SSRIs” or something like that. Those men deserve to be alone.

Women are probably also porn-brained. There’s some delusion that the ideal penis is a 9 inch long, 3 inch thick salami. But this must be out of naïveté (at least partially, probably also fetish). As a female, some experience with various size partners and adult products disillusioned the stigma of massive dongs. I’d consider a (moderately girthy) 6.5 inches to be the Goldilocks length. YPLMV

All these generalizations about women are making me question if I’m actually a woman (/s) I only had all of 2 boyfriends in my life, my now-husband being the #2 (so grateful to have found my person). Hell, I’m 27 years old and only kissed a total of 7 guys in my life (from age 14-21). Could have been more, but I didn’t want to! I know tons of people with a very long list of past partners (which is fine in and of itself), many of which were clearly (to me anyway) not the right match. I know what …

As a woman who has enjoyed sex in missionary position with a man who was aware of said enjoyment, either: She’s not enjoying it Or You’re not paying attention Both are dusty.

This is SO true. My parents constantly put me to work. My parents were often constantly at work themselves, we had to fend ourselves—learning to make ramen noodles and mix up canned tuna w/mayo at ~6-8 years old (I remember my brother and I debating whether or not we had put enough mayo in the tuna based on the color 😂). Years later at ~14 y/o, I learned my best friend had never mixed tuna for themselves before? Her mom wasn’t home and she was like “how does this work??” Both my friend and my hu…

We couldn’t afford to move out into our own place until we were 24 years old ffs! Hard to tell what someone is gonna be like when they’re still with mom and pop. I knew he was lazy, but I didn’t realize I had been dating and was moving in with one of the laziest mfs known to man. I love him and he does make an effort (baby steps to improvement) but he’s a mama’s boy down to the bone and I inherited his mother’s son to finish raising.

Took me 2 years of nagging my boyfriend, who became my husband, whom I nagged another year, to learn that the nagging doesn’t work and that if I want something done promptly, correctly, and without delay/protest, I’ll have to do it myself. You move in together and you wanna be all “wifey material” and you end up “Wifing” too hard and then you’ve built yourself a new standard of expectations that your partner is also now expecting

Americans most definitely cling to their Puritanical ways. I’m still waiting for everyone to stop giving a fck about what genitals people have and whose genitals they’re rubbing theirs on and what bathroom they’re pissing in afterward. Live your life, don’t hurt people, and have a good time. I don’t need any other rules

Wouldn’t want to challenge the status quo of sex being a non-recreational act for married people making babies right???

I agree but for different reasons. The only difference between Prostitution and Pornography is someone there with a camera. Prostitution: a person receives monetary payment in exchange for sexual favors Pornography: one or more people receive monetary payment in exchange for the filmography of sexual favors Seems odd that I could legally pay a random person off the street to engage in sexual relations in front of my camera, but could not legally pay a random person off the street to engage in se…
