I was once this guy. Hopefully he came around eventually

Yeah this was around 8 years ago admittedly, I remember it vividly because of how appalling it was to know that's some people's thought process.

I have been in the room with a friends relative, and their mother asked 'why are you having another baby?!' 'well mum, it's more of this flicking money note gesture ain't it?'

UK Badoo is a treasure trove for these kinds of posts. Enjoy the farming boys!

I got really excited to try FB dating when it first got announced (perhaps 5 years ago now?), never got round to it. You saved me the energy though, so thanks!

Oh absolutely meeting real people is much better through mutuals etc. People know by way of your friends you're worth their time etc.

It was the OLD app that made me completely give up on the idea of meeting someone worthwhile. So yeah, you could say it's worse. Depends where you live, of course.

HA! You should try Badoo.

I selected 'hit it and quit it' but truthfully, my last hook up left me so unfulfilled I think I'll be moving to monk mode

I find their use of the word chaos apt. This is quite literally the Ying Yang dichotomy playing out in humans, where men represent all that is orderly, and women represent all that is chaos.

This is regular distribution in all things in life. The top 20% of music artists are on the radio 80% of the time. 20% of said artists music is the 80% most known song. I forget the name of this distribution, but it's common in nature

Think that song is more about the inner band relationship. 'Life is ours, we live it our way'. Good MGTOW quote if you ask me

ADHD predominantly is diagnosed in males, particularly at a young age. However there is some gendering of symptoms such as boisterous behaviours etc. Meaning that there may be females who are overlooked potential diagnoses. Even the diagnostic measures are more suited to diagnosing ADHD in males. ADD is ADHD, just minus the hyperactivity. It's a misconception that they differ. It's like how autism is a spectrum rather than a binary set of symptoms. To answer your question, the stats show us more…

Honestly, until I lurked around these threads I genuinely thought it was isolated cases or just bitter anecdotes from men. I am sure glad I stopped drinking the koolaid and saw things for how they are.

I work with some colleagues in Evo Psych who might want to chip in too, and give their perspective on the wonderful world of dating etc and why it's not in favour

I appreciate the imagery here, and some solid points. Are you a Psych major or simply exploring psychological ideas? Only curious as a Psych major myself, perhaps when this is up and running you'd allow contributors?

Perhaps reframe this idea that 'going away with your parents' makes you some loser. Instead think of it as 'taking the people that have birthed and raised me on a holiday they can enjoy' and be proud that because you're single you have the ability to spoil them some. Parents won't be around forever, make the most of it if you're a close family unit.

Is there any particular health condition you have? For UC I find it helps reduce cramps on mild flare ups. Some people have even claimed water fasts have cured them of such conditions. If you have no specific health concerns, I'd say just diary every change you make and give things time to pan out. What works for one persons body and genetics won't always work for yours.

This got me thinking. One of the only reasons I asked for a double bed at my parents as a teenager was for the off chance I could bring a girl back and have space. Now that thought isn't there, why not make more efficient use of my space. Could even move a single back into the room I have my instruments and console in. Cheers for the inspiration OP

The best advice I've had about being 'too nice' came from a female colleague. She quite literally put my lack of intimate engagements down to me being too good of a character for the girls (cos let's face it, women are women) my age. I'm entering my late twenties now and having spent the entirety of my 20s single but always affirmed as the 'sweetest guy' women know, I have come to the conclusion that the cock carousel is bigger than ever.

I genuinely had someone that I know and have expressed interest in tell me 'maybe if I get to 30 and I'm still single'. In other words, I can see qualities in you that would make you the good man I'll seek once I'm done exploring my more attractive options. If you don't give em the tingles, you don't give em the tingles, I guess.

"the 6 foot 4 hunk from my dreams hasn't matched with me yet so I deleted my account and restarted until he does" Edit: not far off the post title that I admittedly skipped over

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
