I am a 32 F( still young ), but at 24, I spent a significant amount of my time feeling obsessed and overthinking about the way I looked. It is weird how consuming and anxiety-inducing it can become. Something shifted in me around 29-32 ( due to serious life changes, health crises, brain development, life satisfaction, etc.) and I think my "24 year old self," would call my "current self," ugly. And fat too. The weird difference is that now, I wouldn't feel bad about it. I still want to be and bec…

^ As a woman, totally agree. Just say, "Do you wanna see pics of me when I was a kid?" You'll be good

Are you a princess? Do you reign over some land and people? Or do you think you're god's gift to everyone? Wjat kind of bizarre mindset to have where you think this guy approaching a girl outside, in public, on a bench, asking her out- was "thoroughly ill- advised" and "grievously miscarried..." That is wild...

I think you did a great job ( female here), and I would've been flattered if I was girl on bench- sincerely. Don't beat yourself up, you are putting yourself out there and doing everything right. There is nothing wrong with asking someone out on a bench outside. You will find the right person eventually. It's nice to know people like you exist

Mmm I get that most of this is just bashing men in a public forum and it’s pretty shitty and immature. But, idk if you have a sister or mom. If so, try to empathize with the fact that women grow up and immediately are in a position in life of being vulnerable and physically weaker than our counterpart. It’s drilled into our brains from a young age: be aware of your surroundings, don’t dress provocatively, don’t walk alone at night, don’t draw attention to yourself: basically- be aware and afraid…

The sad thing is that people who have history of guys with serious abuse, etc. are kinda too afraid to post about it cough cough for a few reasons. Fear of dude finding out… which is evident that it could easily happen bc these groups aren’t a secret, girl pact. Dudes are joining them but moreover girls are joining and sharing stuff with guys to get some weird kind of clout. If they was a safe place to share what dangerous men to avoid, it would be a good thing. I get that no one wants their nam…

This is a one-sided relationship. It will only get worse- especially if you ever have kids. If you’re thoughts are to try to change your behavior in order to get him to start changing his and being more emotionally available/ active in the relationship, that is also not a solution. Do you work right now? If not, there’s probably a big disconnect between the end of his day and yours. Especially if you’re focused on making him happy when he gets him while he is focused on coming home and relaxing.…

Meh. I had sex at 17 and the first thing he said to me was: “yeah.. I don’t like you “like that” ok?” Then proceeded a series of poor decisions, including a very long, abusive relationship that resulted in very detrimental consequences years after. Sounds fun, huh? Stay a Virgin. Stay golden ponyboy.
