The replies stating “only if I care about you” or “why should I care about a stranger” are so disturbing. Having respect for a person is baseline, bottom-level decent behavior for human beings everywhere, let alone someone you’re having sex with. I swear men are psychopaths—they truly don’t see women as actual, real people.

Does it count if he used a vibrator on me (it was his suggestion to begin with)? I had one ex who consistently did that every time we had sex, and we switched on who finished first. Other than that, no one else has even tried.

Pandemic aside, yeah technically I could date someone right now but it wouldn’t be a good relationship because I have too much work to do on myself still. I think people use others’ companionship and attention as a distraction from their problems rather than getting to the root of them, and I wouldn’t want to treat someone like that. Too many relationships these days stagnate because of this and other people end of getting hurt all over again because of it! Why perpetuate the cycle? I want to be…

Something similar happened to me a few times with one of my exes. I refused him often because he had porn-induced delayed-ejaculation, which left me bleeding every time we had sex. Often he would go to the bathroom with his laptop to finish himself off, but occasionally he would just watch his porn in the same room as me—usually with headphones, but sometimes not.

I stopped feeling as bad for homeless men when I moved to a city with a large homeless population and they catcall me. The worst time was when one of them told me “nice tits” when I was less than 50 feet from my front door and I didn’t feel like I could say anything in case he got aggressive, which they frequently do in my city. Do all homeless men do this? No, but enough have that I’m put off wanting to help them directly anymore. Stick to outreach programs and homeless women.

For real! She’s a veteran in the industry—even people who don’t watch porn have likely heard of her. Hopefully this will mean people will start listening and rethinking their deeply entrenched views.

I’m so sorry you feel this too. I’m trying to take baby steps every day.

My Catholic upbringing means I’ve been putting literally everyone in my life before myself since childhood. It’s a very hard habit to unlearn (even after leaving the faith over a decade ago).

God, yes! My work place has a generally good, inclusive/respectful atmosphere. But I’ve noticed some of the men there just don’t talk to any women if they don’t have to. It’s not because we don’t have things in common, because we do. I found out that I actually enjoy a lot of the same (not as popular) bands, movies, tv shows, hobbies, etc. that a few of the guys at work like because I initiated conversations when I was new, but they will never begin conversations with me or other women. Why talk…

It’s incredible how they never consider that being forcefully dominated is not enjoyable, isn’t it? It’d hilarious if it weren’t so pathetic.

There was an AskMen thread a few months ago asking if it was normal to keep nudes of exes and almost every single guy said they did! I seriously didn’t think my opinion of them could get any lower until they were lying about how they’re never going to look at them—then why keep them?! (We know why.)

Plausible deniability :/ No one will believe that an extreme hickey from sex is assault.

I love Dr. Ramani SO much. My last ex was a narc and her videos have helped me come to terms with a lot of his behaviors and treatments of me. She even offers “master classes” where a small group can discuss one-on-one issues with her! Thanks for posting this—more people should know about her!

It’s a form of getting attention and validation by offering men exactly what they want—access to free nudes and tolerance of degrading names. By being okay with it (or pretending to be), they’re making themselves “better” than those other women who demand respect, so the men will like them better, right? I think it’s a more extreme form of “Cool Girl” behavior and most of them aren’t old or experienced enough to realize that the men who consume their images are never going to care about or respe…

This is far more likely in my case, since my ex is incapable of self-reflection lol.

My city has a BDSM scene that I’ve taken some part in because I used to date a guy who was active in it (I don’t care for the majority of BDSM though). The scene really harps on about how there are “just as many female doms as male ones” to give the illusion of equality. No there aren’t. It is 90-95% gross-looking, older dominant men with much younger, beautiful submissive girls. It really is upholding the status quo of men dominating women with sexualized pain. Dominatrices really seem to be an…

Thank you for these—that last question was one I’ve avoided for YEARS in order to stay with LVM. It’s a trap because they may have been great in the beginning and I would tell friends and family so, then I would feel like I couldn’t be honest when the LV traits became apparent because I felt like a liar and I needed to save face. I’m ready to be more honest now!

When women “hate” men, they try to avoid them so they can be safe. When men hate women, they do everything in their power to make their lives as miserable as possible.

I dated a guy who was into BDSM. We didn’t do that stuff together because I wasn’t interested, but I did notice that on occasions where we had fought earlier in the day or he seemed annoyed at me earlier, he would always leave marks on me during sex (from teeth or fingernails). He was using sex as an excuse to take out anger and inflict pain on me. They don’t care whether you want to be hurt or not!

I found this sub around the same time (but only recently made an account to post) and it really helped me to see how shitty my relationship at the time was and to be able to get out of it. Seeing everyone else post about red flag behavior made it impossible to ignore what was happening in front of me. I’m able to level up now and work on myself because of this sub; I’ll be really sad if it gets banned. It seems like there are so many other women with similar stories!
