That's true, if you don't act how you're expected by your looks (in a good way) it will definitely be detrimental to your results

What do you think matters a lot more in the long-term?

You're incorrect, it's natural for a woman to like a guy based on his looks. You just got brainwashed by PUAs claiming that "Looks doesn't matter because it wouldn't save you from a lion!", sure, but guess what? Both humans and lions (or any other big predator) are in the most part territorialists, that is, it's extremely rare to cross paths, that means the real competition is between males, and looks = superior genetics. Being good looking, tall, with bigger bones, wouldn't save you from a lion…

Yes, but in this case, they also examined the accuracy of these judgments

No. In this particular study the subjects interacted with one another and assessed the attractiveness of others based on everything (face and body)

I've never looked into this specific situation, but I'd guess that three major things would play a role in this situation. 1) How attractive the wife/gf perceives herself to be. 2) How attractive she perceives the other woman to be. 3) Lastly, how attractive she believes her husband/bf perceives them to be. If the wife/gf is equally attractive to the other woman I believe she would be seen with less distrust than compared with a unattractive wife/gf and an attractive woman

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
