This recipe is a great basic one, but I recommend a bit of allspice if you want a more autumn-y flavor: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/235535/simply-pumpkin-pancakes/ I like to play around and add different flavors to it - he was a big fan of adding chocolate chips. He's definitely a sweet tooth kind of guy!

Haha, I literally had that recipe open in my other tab as I read this thread! My captain loves pumpkin pancakes and I have a feeling that apple butter would be fantastic with those.

I live in Dallas and actually spotted her out a few years ago! She looked so calm and cheerful, despite being surrounded by people and being gawked at from every angle. Definitely a great example.

You've already given up, so why are you here? You know what we're going to say, and if by some chance you don't, read the sidebar. You aren't a misanthrope, you're lazy and ungrateful and dreaming of some perfect man. Well sweetheart, that man doesn't exist, and if he did, why would he want someone who so freely complains and nags? My boyfriend loves that I'm a goofball and a bit of a nerd. He works in the gaming industry, and all of his friends are hilarious, intelligent people, and he likes that I can keep up with them. One of his best friends often introduces me as "the funniest person I've ever met," and I swear my boyfriend beams with pride every time, haha. He also think I look cute when I'm focused on my schoolwork, so I'll play up the "sexy geek" look when he's home -- deliberately messy bun, glasses, yoga pants.

Thanks! I'm actually considering buying a small weekly planner and using that. It's dated, so it will keep me accountable, and every day has a small space, so it will force me to be brief. I think it would be an easy way to look back and focus on the little positive things that happen every day!

Hey ladies! My goals and result for last week: 1. Finish my two school projects - Done! 2. Get a pedicure before my weekend getaway - Not done. Had to choose homework over beauty unfortunately. Finish my two school projects for the month. Get a pedicure before my weekend getaway with the boyfriend. I am so horrified of the state of my toes right now it's ridiculous.
