In its original, intended use, I find it perfectly acceptable. It’s bad for a man to feel the need to explain something to a woman because he’s assuming she doesn’t know due to her gender. However, modern “feminists” have turned the term into meaning literally any time a man is explaining something to a woman. So now it’s kind of like a catch-22. I know what mansplaining actually is, but if I ever have the term used against me incorrectly, trying to explain that what I was doing wasn’t mansplain…
