Everyone recommends therapy but how many of you actually took therapy and saw some results? Please share good or bad results too!I was at the lowest point of my life after my ex and I split. Therapy has helped me get back to a place of somewhat normalcy. It’s a long process I’ve been going for two years first weekly now bi-weekly. I have made a lot of progress and though I will never get back to the old me that I was, in ways I’m a much better person now and have moved past the person that got himself into such a bad relationship. It’s not an instant fix. But if you stick with it, it helps a lot. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/04/26 02:48 AM

Who here left due to a sexless marriage? SatisfiedI left because of a no sex relationship. No sex at all in five years. If things had been fine otherwise I could have maybe stuck it out. But she was making me miserable on top of that with just about every disrespectful thing in the book being thrown at me constantly. I decided I could either be miserable with no sex in my relationship or I could be sexless and less miserable by myself. I’m still not trusting of women enough to try another relationship. Am I happy. Maybe? I’m I less miserable th… | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/11/24 04:49 PM
What were the ethnicity/race of your ex-wives?Portuguese, Native American, Polish, German, white / American But I don’t think it matters as much as socio-economic status though. She was spoiled by her upper middle class parents and still is, she’s an only child so never had to share or compromise. Loves to argue so much she became a Lawyer. Then quit because why would she work when her parents still do everything for her? | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/09/24 09:58 PM
Do you regret getting divorced? She played the victim on our first date. How all her boyfriends hurt her and abandoned her but she didn’t say anything about what she did wrong. I felt bad for her. Didn’t put it together that maybe they had a good reason to do the things they did. This continued throughout our courtship. When I met her parents I should have had some serious reservations, she treated them like SHIT. And they were fully supporting her as she was 32 and living with them. Couldn’t hold a job. Drank A LOT. The list … | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/08/24 08:34 PM

Is-it-true-women-divorce-men-just-to-get-alimony-Are-men-not-people-Why-do-women-not-care-about-menSelf preservation is built into woman’s biological makeup. Society reinforces and promotes this behavior and the courts give woman every incentive to get whatever they can from a divorce. Some women care about their men but a lot don’t because they’ve been told by society they don’t need to. It’s not fair and it’s not the way it should be and it hasn’t always been like this. But unfortunately that’s the way it is now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/07/24 02:36 AM
Feeling guilty: my depression + ADHD destroyed my marriageMine was like this too. She knew I had ADHD but constantly criticized me because of my shortcomings. Like forgetting things at the store, it’s like I’m already annoyed with myself I did that I don’t need someone making me feel worse about it. I suppose there might be women out there who are more understanding but in all my years of dating and relationships the women always complain about the same things. At the end of the day it’s just who I am and it’s been made clear to me I’m not worth it for… | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/11/22 08:11 PM
Fellas, how long were you single til you got into a relationship again or started dating? I feel like I rushed it because I got into a relationship after being separated. And I feel like it’s affecting the relationship I’m in now cause I never got to healIt’s been almost a year since we separated and I can tell I’m still not ready to date. When I talk to women I get a bunch of unpleasant emotions that bubble up and I know that I’d be directing a lot of resentment and anger onto a woman if I decided to date or get more serious. I think about being in a place where I’m warmer to the idea of being with someone and I just can’t see myself actually being in that place any time soon. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/08/22 02:59 AM
Wife admits divorcing good man who worked hard to provide because she was lonely and thought there was something better out thereIt’s rare to see a woman expressing remorse over her decisions these days, you need a conscious for that. Lots of women seem to be lacking in either of those. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/08/22 02:45 AM
When did it go from bad fights to ‘lawyering up’After 3 years of no sex she demanded I go to a friends giving with her friends. I told her I’m not going to pretend like we’re a couple when we don’t do couple things. So I didn’t go, she was the only one there without their spouse, and that was the beginning of the end. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/07/22 08:45 PM

Anyone else feel like their life expectancy increased?Yeah I had this lower abdominal pain probably an abscess or an ulcer. I realized recently I haven’t had that pain since she left. I used to feel like I was hobbling around like I was in my 70s when I’m only 42. Now I’m getting in better shape. Stopped drinking every night. Just being able to live my life without constant fear of criticism is such a relief. I’ll never live with a woman again. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/07/22 11:42 PM
Is there something wrong with women?Women are told by todays society that they can do no wrong, they’re beautiful no matter what, they can do whatever they want, etc. It’s inadvertently given a lot of women a narcissistic mentality. That has created a lack of personal accountability which has allowed women’s hypergamy to go unchecked. Men do this too in terms of physical appearance. Women do it with status and high value men. The lack of morality in our society has allowed these baser instincts to go unchecked in the modern era. T… | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/06/22 09:40 PM
Any men here think of ending it after there divorce? I know I almost did. And so glad now I didn't.I’ve had those thoughts throughout the whole process. Now she’s been out of the house 8 months and I just found out from my son that she’s pregnant again with the guy she was seeing before we separated. That nearly undid all the progress I’ve been making and was contemplating suicide again the last few days. The only think keeping me going is my son. I’m just thankful she’s amicable about sharing time with him. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/05/22 01:40 PM
My own personal, handcrafted, artisinal nightmare....Sorry you’re going through this. Hopefully your kids will come around and are your STBX for who she is. Don’t leave the house. She can use that against you in court. Good luck | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/04/22 02:35 AM

Valentine’s day!Yeah I’m five months out of a relationship where I could do no right. Valentine’s Day was a anxiety inducing day where I was damned if I did and damned if I didn’t. I bought myself some whisky and a video game and relaxed the whole night. I was so glad to not have to do anything this year. Such a relief! And like someone else mentioned I too ended up in Walmart and noticed all the guys scrounging for the last minute valentines gifts and thought god I’m glad I’m not in their boat this year. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/02/22 02:54 AM
There's so many "I'm completely insane, emotionally unstable, fat and psychotic" women out there trying to date us by openly telling us this, that I think they deserve their own term by now“My personality is a 12” also “emotionally, mentally, and financially unstable.” Well at least she’s letting everyone know she has a cluster B personality disorder upfront. Wish my ex had been so gracious. | /r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen | 06/09/21 02:36 PM
I can't keep it together anymore.I’ve found that when I drink alcohol regularly it hurts my teeth and makes them more sensitive. When I lay off my teeth don’t hurt as much. What you’re going through sucks right now but once you get the divorce over with you’ll feel like a new person. Chin up you’re going to make it. If for no other reason but that little one of yours. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/08/21 05:56 PM

Losing my mindAs a person who has been in a relationship BPD/ narcissistic person I can say yes projection is their bread and butter. Yeah this was probably left deliberately for you to find to cause a reaction which it did. This is why they do these things. It’s like their crack. They love any kind of intense emotion good or bad so if you confronted her on it in an angry way that would actually be what she wants. They love the attention. | 1 | Men, is this fair?I think you’re being more than reasonable. If worse comes to worse you can take him to court and find out the hard way. From one of your comments below he honestly sounds like my father. Emotionally abused my mom constantly and played me and my sister against each other. I often wished they’d just get a divorce. It takes a toll on the kids. You’re doing the right thing and I say get a lawyer if he thinks you’re being unreasonable. He’ll soon be wishing he’d taken you up on the offer. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/07/21 04:37 AM
I (28M) feel my life and happiness being sucked out of me when my spouse (28F) is around (no kids or assets together). There’s been no infidelity.. i’ve outgrown the marriage and the incompatibilities we have.. I’m afraid if I divorce, that I’ll never be able to find a quality woman though..You’re 28 you have PLENTY of time to rebuild and find love. Men don’t really hit they’re peak until their 30’s or 40’s anyway. Ask yourself if you really want to feel the way you do for another 5 years or 10 or 20 or for the rest of your life. You don’t have kids and you still have your best years ahead of you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/06/21 04:32 PM

Has a racial black guy fetish, brags about how many f buddies she has, then claims there aren’t any good men out there who are gentlemen and “isn’t like all these guys” (too many flairs work here sorry if I picked the wrong one)I know a person like this. She only dates Hispanic men. And literally just becomes the personality of whoever she’s dating or close with. For a time before she got knocked up with her current ex con husband we hung out a lot and she did this with me. Became a mini me and even bought the same car that I had. Also has a bit of a superiority complex because she’s so diverse as to date outside her own race and regularly tells people of her own race about how racist they are. Like whatever I dated ou… | /r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen | 27/03/21 06:18 PM
Th biggest problem for all sides on this subExactly my observation. Most posts are just generalizations such as all men are x or all women are x. Both sides have some valid points but they’re not going to get anywhere without more constructive argumentation. Y’all need to go read Aristotles Rhetoric or something. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/01/21 04:29 AM
It seems like a lot of people view sex as something valuable that women give to men, which men then have to make up for in other ways.I don’t like generalizations because saying all women are x and all men are y is just not true. There are a lot of variables between men and women and couples dynamics. That being said speaking from personal experience, SOME women (not all) think that a man is being given a gift by simply breathing the same air as a woman by living together or spending time with her. My ex who is still currently living with me (due to circumstances I won’t go into here) just got mad at me because I wouldn’t buy … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/12/20 01:38 AM

CMV: Men respect women who use sex as a bargaining chip.It doesn’t matter which partner withholds the sex (men do it too for various reasons) the result of too much withholding of sex in a monogamous relationship only leads to resentment and eventually loss of attraction. Just go look over at the dead bedrooms subreddit if you want evidence of this. Sure a little playing hard to get is fine if the relationship is healthy but when it becomes an ongoing withholding especially if favors or chores are used as a bargaining chip (but only sometimes or neve… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/07/20 03:53 AM
They don't want sex unless a tall, attractive, wealthy, strong, perfect man comes along and pushes all the right buttons in the right sequence when the stars happen to align. As soon as they feel secure in the relationship, their drive withers away. Daily life is booooooooring!Wish I could afford a medal for this because this is GOLD! Will definitely be doing this when my son gets older. here’s one of these for what it’s worth 🏅 | /r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen | 27/05/20 09:55 PM
Women asking out men doesn't work vast majority of the timesWomen have asked me out, and or come on strong and it’s kinda weird, like if I’m into them than okay but the relationship is always out of balance and doesn’t works in the long run. That being said many women use signals that aren’t very obvious to the average guy. Guys are very simple. And if women aren’t being obvious men will take it as a sign they aren’t interested and move on out of respect for her boundaries. The type of guy who will ask a woman out regardless of her signals are the type o… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/02/20 04:08 AM
Why are men becoming weaker and weaker? It’s about balance. Too much of one or the other can have opposite effects (think men who do steroids and their testicles start to shrivel). Too much testosterone in men can lead to the same thing. There’s a few researchers that have found a correlation between high estrogen and masculine traits in women. Often these occur over time but can be more pronounced if excessive estrogen was a factor during pre natal development. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/02/20 10:23 PM
Why are men becoming weaker and weaker?Exactly. There’s a lot of us vs them rhetoric out there these days but many of the concerns facing us today could be remedied by changing our diet or supplementing testosterone. Men AND women are testosterone deficient and excessive in estrogen due to the modern diet and sedentary lifestyle. Excessive Estrogen feminizes men and masculinizes women. Moderate exercise, and adding mineral rich foods such as good quality fats, proteins, and veggies could do a lot for both men and women struggling wit… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/02/20 08:19 PM
Why are men becoming weaker and weaker?Lots of good responses. I’d also add that there are lots of environmental factors at play as well. Such as atmospheric conditions, soil degradation lowering food mineral content, plastics (estrogen mimicers), fast food / junk food (with soy, another estrogen mimicer, in almost everything), and chemicals in the water supply such as birth control residue, acetaminophen, and countless other pharmaceutical chemicals that don’t get filtered out with carbon water filters. Men’s testosterone and sperm … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/02/20 06:31 PM
| 1 | Not marriedIn Georgia. I don’t think there are common law marriage laws in my state. I was told this by a lawyer who was a friend of a friend of mine.
