I just installed one of these bad boys on my job. I'm sysadmin btw. As far as I know it can be used locally, like a "private github" (words of my boss). GL was easy to install and configure. I integrated it with our LDAP server, put HTTPS/SSL in the bitch and integrated it with Jira. It seems fast and stable. Let's see its performance when the hungry programmers start using it.
