There are plenty of models for "how attraction works". "Seduction" (in the sense you're using it here) is only one model (though it encompasses a number of others.) For example, I've got a few polyamorous friends. Among them, PUA stuff would just be laughable: within that community, the expectation is that you just tell them that you'd be down for [x], and if they're into it, you start hammering out terms (when you're both free, what other partners need to be alerted, what's desired, what's out-…

Thanks. I'm actually a programmer, though I write a fair amount (of human words) as well.

I think the real issue isn't "discrimination against women in video games", but something a bit more complicated. In most games, you only have time to get a few snapshots of a person's personality, so most characters are simplified. "Being female" is a defining characteristic, so female characters tend to be slightly less developed. Ditto for people of a race other than what's common in the world of the game. I do think this is a problem, but not one of gender - it's a problem of poor storytelli…

No, those devices are pretty standard. IIRC they're roughly comparable to a polygraph - not admissible in court, maybe limited in some ways, but with definite use, especially in less coercive settings [than a court].

I wish people would stop downvoting you for this. Beliefs aside, it is an interesting piece of information.

Anyone have actual stats on the proportion of rapes that are non-gang to gang?

I knew that list was there, I just totally didn't remember that I was looking at a discussion in the seduction subreddit.

I expected this to be the sort of article that makes me ashamed to be a man. I was disappointed. EDIT: In my expectation.

You probably don't want to ask Seddit... AskReddit or maybe RelationshipAdvice might be better.

Not to my knowledge, but if you find anything drop a line.

It is notable that this study was about young men. Between the ages of 18 and 23.

There aren't many good hair sites for men, because the people with the knowledge would rather make money off of it. It's sort of like finding car repair info online.

I've been saying for years that there should be a pre-sex contract that everyone needs to sign. Isn't that what marriage is? :D

No, custody should be split 0/0. Children should be raised communally, or get torn apart by wolves.

It's not that long of a recovery period. I had a friend who was circumcised at around age 18 (he was having painful adhesion issues) and as I recall he was only out of commission in that regard for a day or two. (He could have been lying, sure, but he was pretty frank about most elements of the surgery.)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
