I have an IQ of 130+ and I'm below the poverty line. I'm smart, just extremely lazy.

The rate of rape and sexual assault was 1.2 times higher for nonstudents (7.6 per 1,000) than for students (6.1 per 1,000). College aged women make up more victims of rape per capita than other age groups, but among women of that age the ones who don't go to college make up more rape victims per capita. It's from the Bureau of Justice Statistics' Rape and Sexual Assault Victimization Among College-Age Females, 1995–2013 - the government authority that reports these things. If I remember correctl…

I was just commenting on the 'people who won't take no for an answer' part. Wasn't even referring to sex or rape. Just that there are some people who won't leave you alone when you ask. I was specifically thinking of just the normal kind of annoying person who won't stop talking to you. The 1 in 4 statistic is absurd. I read the original study and the way the study was used by RAINN and other groups to push an agenda. In many cases the interviewers concluded 'rape' when the interviewee specifica…

I've met one rapist that I know of. But I just meant not taking no for an answer in general. Like people who start talking to you and you tell them you're busy but they won't leave you alone. Or bums who ask you for money, or my fucking boss who keeps asking me to work unpaid overtime. There are just some people who won't listen and keep pushing until you want to fucking kill them. Rare, and not exclusive to one gender like I said, but I've met a few people like that.

But it's okay to have a space that excludes straight cis white males, because fuck 'em. Straight cis white men are the new boogeymen. Create a 'safe space' that excludes women, or black people, or trans folks and there would be riots. Exclude cis men and it's 'progress'. These things just reinforce the notion that all men are violent, dangerous, and unable to control themselves. It's just plain old bigotry. These are the same people who post hashtags like 'male tears' as some kind of trophy, and…

You don't even have to go to the Congo. Women in college are raped less often than women of the same age in the same area who don't go to college.

It absolutely is special snowflake syndrome when, like you, a person pretends this kind of thing is exclusive to women. At this point, you're just saying all men are a threat while denying that women can do any harm to men. It also seems incredibly patronizing to women to say that they are so fragile they can't study in the regular library because someone may speak to them.

Also I have never ever in my life witnessed someone who didn't take "no" for an answer. I don't know why you american retards think that this is common amongst men, when in reality it never happens irl. Maybe it only happens in America? I doubt it, but I've definitely met people of both genders who won't take no for an answer. Rare, but I've met a few. Not that it in any way justifies being sexist against men, since like I said those people are just as likely to be women.

I don't mind at all if there are gender specific groups, if the same groups exist for both, and there are groups where everyone is welcome. Like all-girl schools and all-boy schools, I can see that being an attractive option. But as it stands now, all-men = oppression, all-women = safe space. Which is absurd.

They don't want either in most cases. Most people just want what they don't have, and confirmation bias tells them they are always the victim. I know I have caught myself thinking that way many times. I try not to, but it comes naturally I think. But I read these things and it seems obvious that these folks rely on confirmation bias for their entire narrative. And since they are perpetually 'oppressed', anything they want is justified.

Since we have no idea what causes autism, I think this question is silly and irrelevant. Especially since autism is just one out of a million different problems a child can be born with. I'm sure there are hundreds of diseases that show a mild link to younger dads and older moms, or younger moms and older dads, or younger dads and younger moms, or both older. This study may suggest some connection between autism and parent age, but correlation isn't causality. It could have to do with lifestyle …

They seem to be used in the same context in political discussions. I don't agree with most political terms anyway - none seem to be accurate and are used to describe different things by different people. But in the US, just about anyone who says "liberal" means Left wing - as in Democrats, Socialists, etc. Basically, any group that believes in socialized government programs more than "every man for himself" kind of stuff. To me, it's a minor difference in terms, but I guess "Leftist" or "Left wi…

This "gender war" is not so much about gender as libertarian vs. hard left thinking. I don't think so. I'm as liberal as anyone I've ever met, except that I think 3rd wave feminism is ridiculous cancer and hatred. It's just an aberration built from misguided thinking, the fact that it exists in people on the far left is just a coincidence. It has nothing to do with liberal thinking - it's actually almost the complete opposite. It's the same anger that causes slaves who revolt to become slave mas…

I started dating more "plain" looking women in my early 30s because of that. I used to chase only the hottest girls, and rarely succeeded. Then, when I did, the relationship sucked because it was based on her looks only and most hot girls are incredibly selfish/entitled. So I started dating girls with nice bodies and less striking looks, but only the ones who had amazing personalities (I had no luck with the rare unicorn 10s with amazing personality, they just have too many options). Worked OK, …

Accepting TRP's interpretation of social interaction seems like the worst strategy possible. Not really. The guys I've known who are advanced terpers tend to get what they want in life. It's cold, calculating, and yes, cynical. But it does work. Where if you assumed that the flirting meant "She wants to have sex with me!" you might change her oil, and thus have been successfully maniuplated. But the whole point of TRP is to avoid doing shit like that (doing favors for girls because they hint tha…

Even asking such a question betrays a deep misunderstanding of how common social interactions work. No it doesn't. No one is that stupid. He's just asking what's the philosophical, moral difference. Like is there a difference between someone paying you $5 to kiss them, and $100 to fuck them? His point is just that it's trading sexual favors for goods. I agree that it's different, just because of the degree, but I can completely accept someone pointing out that similarity and not think they are s…

I don't think that people want to keep on acquiring one night stands all the time That describes the absolute ideal for about half the men out there. If a guy can do that, many will do it for as long as they can - although yes, eventually most will want to settle into a relationship at some point. A lot of men just don't see much value in being in a relationship.

99/100 women will choose a confident and sexist guy over a beta non-sexist guy - until she's specifically looking for a husband to milk for resources and favors and to raise her kids. But a lot of women would pick a confident non-sexist guy over either - although it totally depends on what you call sexist.

Yeah, laws are voted against for lots of reasons. The "Patriot Act" is a perfect example - how could you vote against patriotism? The more a bill is worded to sound egalitarian, the less I trust it. Yeah, if that guy's shirt is a big deal for women today then they have things really easy. As a man, my life is fucking intensely difficult every day. I do not have the time or energy to give one fuck about what shirt someone wears or what a tv show has a character do, etc. If the Jezebel feminists put half the effort into just doing shit that they put into complaining about shit, those issues would go away (for the most part). Advocacy for women is needed in the West, but most feminists seem to be advocating for really stupid shit instead of things that matter. The majority of feminist discussion is circle jerk BS about "male gaze" and other stuff like that which ends up getting really petty. This question doesn't make a lot of sense. There are alpha males that would make great partners for my daughter, and ones that would make horrible partners, and most I imagine would be somewhere in-between. I guess, all other things being equal, I would rather her date an alpha type dude because he would have his shit together more than a beta. It's very possible to be neither red pill, nor blue pill. Blue pill is a name for guys who willingly decide to deny reality and continue to believe the inaccurate fairy tales about women that we're told growing up. Red pill is a name for guys that decide to take advantage of knowing what the reality of who women are, and who men are, to further their goals of more sex with less cost. Unfortunately, a lot of those guys also develop an equally unrealistic view of women as the ultimate evil or some…

he's using it to "take the hot girl down a notch", which is pretty gross. It can be that, which is a little bit crude. This premise is entirely plausible providing no one in the study has actually tried Coke or Pepsi. Someone who's tried them both would know what they like already. IRL this translates to inexperienced people maybe deciding they liked something better in person than on paper, but someone who's experienced both PUA and "BP" type dating tactics would also know what they prefer. Actually, they don't. Those Coke/Pepsi studies blew people's minds because an overwhelming majority said they liked Pepsi …

The same goes for men, but not to the same degree, because men are attracted to simpler surface traits do a larger degree. But yes, you can describe a woman in oversimplified terms and ask a man if he would be attracted to her - and then have them meet IRL and the result will often be totally different. Asking people in extremely general terms what they will be attracted to, and what they actually respond to IRL is always going to vary significantly. Otherwise, dating would be easy and straightf…

They took them directly from popular PUA books. It wasn't "directly" at all. They didn't even resemble the methods from the Game and Mystery's show. They were just broad misrepresentations that entirely missed the point. the differences would still exist and a correlation would still exist. My point is, they didn't test the methods. God, this paper is absolute garbage. It's just dripping with agenda, bias, and assumption in every section. The "methods" they supposedly tested had almost nothing to do with PUA style seduction. And the way they tested women was by asking if they thought each tactic would work on them - then just listing the tactics described in the way the authors felt about them. A well known fact in PU is that women for the most part don't know what works on them. So asking them if a guy "acting like a littl…

The only time I encounter rude women is in clubs and bars. I guess the assumption is that everyone is there to pick up or get picked up. So if you say as much as hi, you can get "rejected". There's nothing like just being cordial and saying hello to the person at the next table as you sit down and hear them say something like "ugh, NO!" Uhh, that wasn't even close to what I said. I don't rationalize anything. "I want to" is all the reason I need. I don't need to find a way to make it seem OK. I know that many things I do are bad, I just don't care. Everyone does this to some extent - do things they know are wrong. Most people use denial and sketchy rationalizations to make themselves feel better about it. I respect myself enough to not do it. The genetic thing was just an aside.

I think it's morally wrong to steal someone's private pics and share them. Someone like JLaw, who seems like a fairly cool person IRL, especially. I have a little less empathy for Kate Upton, who has become a multi-multi-multi-millionaire off of selling images of her body. Why should it boil down to what's the most moral thing to do? I may lie about myself, but want my partner to be honest. Both of those things are to my advantage. I don't pick what I want in life based on what is moral. Who cares what is moral? Morality is a purely human, cerebral, abstract concept that nearly anything can be argued to fit the arguer's wants (in other words, anything can be rationalized). I do immoral things all the time. So do you. Why on Earth do you think that people are going…

Ew, yuck. No we don't. I have a lot of faults, but insecurity isn't one of them. Dating (or marrying) someone but having sex with lots of other people is absolutely unattractive to me. If I wanted to do that, I would just have a fwb. If we're just gonna fuck whoever we want, there's no reason for me to commit to a relationship. If I love someone, I don't want her to have sex with other people - that's not insecurity, that's just my preference.

the higher your expectations in a mate, regardless of sex, the higher the bar you have to meet in order to even have a chance with them. You would think so, but in practice that's often not the case. I've probably met more couples that were very "one sided" than couples that were equal contributors. It's all psychological and based on wants and needs, and people rationalize everything, so there's all kinds of mixes out there - some work, some don't. What's insulting about saying that women are good at something? I'm not a 'terper' anyway. TRP asserts that no women can control their most basic mating instincts, which is clearly not true from my POV - among other RP tenets that I don't agree with. There are some really deep insights in their theories, but then they go and ruin it by distorting reality to fit a bitter narrative. Not that blue pillers are any better.

No, I don't point to feminism for the origin of that one. But it's one of those things that feminism would never take on. It's an inequality - it's ok to hit men and not women, but I have never seen or heard a feminist bring it up as an inequality that needs to be fixed, even though this is one of the most ubiquitous "morals" in society. It's just a thing that shows how feminism isn't about equality - it's about getting equal benefits without sharing equal burdens.

Why would [any given] woman have less training or experience than [any given] man? But it's a similar pattern. It just points out that correlation is not causation. Women are paid less, but it's not because of oppression. It's because women (on average) have less qualifications and experience, and do less work. I shouldn't have to pay an employee who does 38 hours of work a week the same as an employee who does 45, even if the first has some personal responsibilities that they choose to prioritize over working.

"Equal rights for women." It has only ever concerned itself with gaining for women the advantages men have, without taking on the burden of the disadvantages men face. It doesn't seek to raise men up in areas where men are behind, or lower women to be equal with men there. The person making the claim is responsible for proving it. When you say that there is a pay gap, the burden of proof is on you. What feminism seeks to do is address that men and women are different and have different needs, but society needs to adjust to accomodate that without the ludicrousness of a situation where men and women are indistinguishable in the workplace. I'm sure you wouldn't want that either. Actually, I support your right to feel however you want - it's your actions that effect others that you can't use this logic with.

Jesus, no. I'm not going to dedicate the next three hours of my life documenting a bunch of extremist bloggers and helping people who rely on hateful comments to get attention, get more traffic to their sites or wiki pages. It's like when people go listen to Rush Limbaugh because what he says makes them mad - THAT'S WHAT THEY WANT! The "bad feminists" are people who want to either boost women's quality of life at the expense of men's, or who use unfair tactics or bigotry to spread hate, or who j…

wat! So you can't say people are smarter than dogs because my rottie is smarter than the kid who was born brain dead? Both ends of the spectrum of women vs. men are crazy. But I do not get the fervor with which some feminists (or whatever it is you call the people saying these things) argue that every single difference between men and women is social. What's even to gain by that? I like that there are some differences - I appreciate the shit out of some of the things women are better at, and I l…

JUST BECAUSE they were born with a penis instead of a vagina? HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? I think that most TRP people believe that there are more differences between men and women than just their genitals. And they are comparing men against women as a group, kind of "on average". Like the average male is more honest than the average female, or whatever. I don't agree that they are right, but I'm not sure why that is so mind blowing. Up until the last 50 years or so pretty much everyone would have sai…

The study says "about the same", yet in every single metric the men valued attractiveness more than women, and in every single metric the women valued earning potential more than men. I'm not sure that qualifies as "about the same", even if the numbers weren't worlds apart. It appears that the people doing this study had an agenda, and (so surprisingly) interpreted their findings to support it.

There are women who can design stuff. There are men who are great with kids. But overall, yes, men are much better at making things in general. And women overall are more caring towards little ones. This is the crap that is so annoying about feminists, MRA's, etc. Because you have anecdotal evidence that you know a woman who is an architect or the guy down the street who is a good father, doesn't negate the overwhelming amount of evidence that men are better at some things, and women are better …

There's been a billion studies about nature/nurture. Most of our behaviors are genetic, but they can be altered with conditioning. I guess that they haven't done studies on every single specific behavior or trait, but it's not like we just have no idea. That may be the more common view, but the more commonly expressed view on reddit is that there's absolutely no difference between males and females other than genitalia, and that doesn't even matter if the person decides they don't like theirs an…

That has nothing to do with MRA, that's pretty much exactly what people all over reddit promote as feminism. I've gotten downvoted and tons of hate mail just for saying that men and women are different on numerous occasions. The feminists around here are every bit as ridiculous and full of crap as the MRAs.

I have a boss who will says things like "I don't care what you do at home but I don't want to know about it" and it drives me up the goddamn wall. Why would your boss wanting you to keep your sex life out of the office (no matter what your orientation or likes/dislikes are)? Seems like that's just keeping a professional environment. The details of your sex life have nothing to do with your business, most likely.

No, I think that blue pill is a special group who specifically claims that everything RP says is crap. Most people land somewhere in between. I guess if you go by TRP's definition, anyone not doing their thing is blue pill. I like to think that most people make up their minds on each particular issue without following a specific philosophy. But yeah, that's probably naive.

I imagine some women do feel that way. Which is absolutely fine. And I wouldn't argue with them - having sex with my 20th girl wasn't nearly as special to me as sex with my 1st or second. If I was a girl looking to get married or get into a serious relationship, I probably wouldn't pick a serial relationship hopper like me. I would pick some guy with a lot less miles on them. But a lot of the women I talk to say that they don't feel that way - they care more about a guy "knowing what he's doing …

That post really does shine a light on it. It's not "fair", but nothing is. It's not fair that men don't find fat girls attractive. It's not fair that women don't find weak willed men attractive. There's very little in life that is fair. I believe that it's a preference that has evolved, that it is natural. Many people will say it's all due to "society" controlling men's minds. I prefer to date women with less experience, yet I myself have a lot of experience. That's not hypocritical, it's just …

I'm definitely a realist. I was very idealistic when I was younger, but it served me poorly. Always getting let down. I gradually began to see things as they are, instead of the way I thought they should be. I used to hang on to unrequited love for years and years, hoping that one day she would change her mind. I used to go into every relationship thinking that it could be "the one". As I grew up, I stopped doing that because it just didn't work, it didn't make sense. I was constantly trying to …

Realism is seeing things the way they are, idealism is seeing things they way the should be. The fact that most idealists are more optimistic than most realists is just coincidental. An idealist may say "marriage is a life-long commitment," while a realist may say "marriage is rarely a life-long commitment."

It's fine if you like it. I don't personally, I'm a little bit jealous and wouldn't want my SO having sex with another man. I wouldn't want two girlfriends, either, because, sheesh, I don't want one girlfriend. I am fine with threesomes and moresomes of all varieties, with people I'm not committed to. But if I'm going to commit to someone, and I'm in love with them, I want to be their only partner. hetero male, btw.

No. They have done lots of studies with pictures of women whose ages aren't disclosed. Men prefer women around 20, on average. Although we are entering a phase where people have learned how to take care of themselves, and medicine and things like that have made it to where it's easier to stay good looking longer. But men are specifically attracted to those features that you don't develop until later. Baby-faced is very attractive to men. Women tend to judge other women differently than men do. S…

That's not a fetish. A fetish is fixating on a non-sexual object so much that you cannot be sexually aroused without it. What you are talking about is a preference. It may not be one you agree with, but lots of women prefer experienced men, or taller men, or whatever. Lots of guys prefer a woman who is less experienced. People have a right to like or dislike whatever they want.

dehumanizing a person to the point only their genitals have value TRP guys aren't doing that, that's just what anti-TRP people turn it into so they can hate it. Talking about "value" is talking about how attractive a person is. If you are going to argue that George Clooney and a fat, neckbeard aspie have the same value but just appeal to different preferences, then it's not worth talking about. Well no one is complaining about that, meeting someone later in life and falling in love. Guys complain that they get infatuated with girls who turn them down because they aren't bad boys, until those girls go through the cycle of dating bad boys and getting hurt so many times, and then decide they want to settle for a nice guy who won't leave them and they won't be that invested in anyway. The complaint is that they met and fell in love with tons of women <35, but those women rejected them. Then, either settled for older women, or feel like their non-TRP bretheren who did were being used by older women. And that getting cut out of all the young pussy was unfair because they were like that because society told them they had to be.

Right and wrong are almost purely subjective, so it's up to you. You could debate to the end of time if it's "fair" or not, but that all kind of depends on who the person is, and their experiences, and how far they take things. I don't think that many people (who aren't automatically biased just towards the phrase) wouldn't argue that if you subscribe to a philosophy that fits your goals in life, and aren't hurting other people, you can do whatever you want.

But even before that, it was never much higher than 1 new person a year. Of course I wanted that to be higher during the times I wasn't in a committed relationship (that was about half the time).
