As opposed to blindly exonerating the husband of all faults because OP can't tell differently?

Correction, you don't know if he cheated during 14 years together. Maybe he actually hasn't. But nobody ever knows for sure.

In other words, he doesn't want to marry you because he's afraid of spousal support, and pinning the blame for his decision on you.

Disagree... OP's husband's priority is his wife and child. His dad has other children to look after him in the country in any case. It sucks for OP's husband not to be with his parents as they get older, but then again he made his choice to live abroad and marry someone not from his home country.

To the mod who locked their own reply to my comment so I can't have a further conversation with them, "Leave" is actually a perfectly acceptable response in this situation if OP's husband is jobless and it's her intention to start a family.

If it's not there now, what makes you think it'll be different with a ring on your finger?

How could you ever want him to be a man when you actively demeaned him by having an "open relationship"? He might grow up if he was with a different woman, but you have no respect for him anyways.

You're not "impure" because you've had minimal sexual relationships, you have low self esteem and you saw some incels being angry at women online and because you're unconfident, you internalised the sentiment. Why would you even want to be with someone who cared about "purity"? It's gross and they are never "high value males" in the first place.

You're a man, why are you on this sub? And yes there are both men and women who use each other for sex, don't argue otherwise.

OP please delete these hideous terms from your vocabulary and work on your self esteem. These sound like terms that incels use to describe women. Be better. And stay celibate for a while until you find a man to commit to you first. How was this guy out of your league? You think a man who uses you for sex is high value in any way? He was an abusive dickhead. Don't let a man treat you like that again.

wtf is alpha widowed, wtf is a slampig. Obviously next time don't sleep with a guy who clearly wants you for sex? Simple.

How does an HoA have such control over what people do with their own homes? It's not like you can be arrested for not following the guidelines, or is it?

I don't live in the US but can someone tell me: do housing associations (HOA) apply to people who own their homes, as opposed to renting?

Do you go down on your husband? If so, what's your reasoning?

My bf is also around the same age as yours so I definitely know the struggle. And I agree with the ending of the honeymoon phase, mine was electric and I'd love to have it back! I definitely relate to you a lot. From what I've read it sounds like you have a really good relationship, albeit both of you are stressed with pressures of life which is the most normal thing ever. Try and relax a bit and enjoy your time together.

I'm in the same boat (one year in two weeks) but it's completely normal! Honeymoon phase means going at it like rabbits but he's told you he loves you a lot. 3-4 times a week is great too. My own issue is not thinking if I was a new girl he'd want it more, but I have a higher libido than him. Your bf sounds just a bit stressed and tired, he might feel pressured to perform, especially if it's an issue you keep bringing up.

Why would he be insecure about the age difference? You're 18, not 16. You even spoke to him about another guy you were talking to, it didn't even instill any jealousy in him. He doesn't want to meet your parents because he doesn't want you to be his girlfriend and doesn't want to give you any more reason to think he wants to commit to you. He also literally told you he can't be your boyfriend "right now". He means never.

"Doesn't the theory argue that the men only have interest in sex with new people after they have sex with someone?" Men are individuals. He could easily have been getting his bit while having you on the hook. I'm not telling you that he was 100% doing this, but he's 25, has engaged in hookup culture in the past, etc. You say you were the new novel partner and held out for several months, and of course this must have piqued his interest, because men do like a chase. But it's likely he could have …

How do you know he wasn't sleeping with other women?

Because a smart person looking for a serious relationship wouldn't advertise the fact they've been promiscuous, you don't even know the exact number fgs.

I don't see how it is unfeminine to not wear makeup, and this is where the "Male Gaze" thing comes in: I truly don't understand how refusing to cake my face in pounds of makeup in order to be seen as "acceptable" is obnoxious. As for the receiving gifts while courting thing -- I don't disagree with the traditional aspect of that, but a lot of women in the West do expect their boyfriend/husband to bankroll everything while they treat him pretty horribly, which is what I meant in my original comme…

I'm a woman, so it affects me. Everybody lives with societal expectations, and when the predominant culture is to degrade yourself under the guise of empowerment, is it prudish to criticise that? I'm not a man who wants a Stepford wife, I thought I made it clear that I was a woman in my comment.

I live in Ireland, and the people I know wouldn't actually call themselves liberal feminists, but liberal feminism has had an effect on them: fashion wise, wearing the skimpiest clothes (I'm told I need to get better fashion sense for not dressing like that), the abundance of makeup they wear ("it makes me feel confident, I can express myself" which is literally just the cosmetics industry brainwashing girls into feeling insecure so they can cake their face and call it empowering), posting bikin…

Just text her that you'd still like to see her, but that she was too drunk, she most likely will say "oh that's so embarrassing" over the situation to gauge your reaction (she's possibly fearing further rejection) but you just need to reassure her that you don't think it is embarrassing, etc.

More like libfems than radfems. I see so many girls and my friends just completely warped by liberal feminism.
