Agree with JCX, alternate or overhand...no gloves, no straps, no hooks and build that grip strength. I went from ~275 to 410 lbs for my last set and use chalk occasionally when north of 375 when callouses peel.

It comes from approval seeking behavior of men raised by women or without a strong positive father / male role model growing up...sets in by ~4 or 5 years old. Not at all the fault of women or "weak" men per se, just the result thereof.

I started there a couple years ago and it changed my life. Was also around the start of my MAP.

I dropped 50lbs and have kept it off for 2years. Now I eat keto M-F and carbs Friday night through Sunday night though fast ~20 hours each Sat and Sunday. Easiest way ever to drop fat and feel great. Check out Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson Also, Ben Greenfield Fitness podcast and books

I hear ya, I mean for each challenge/situation. Always be ready to take on the next. Some folks think they were strong for one situation and that carries them through others, but we got to show up every time, resilient. Not to rest on our laurels.

Par for the course as usual, johney. Stay strong brother. No better feeling being the rock when others need that, even though it is fleeting like everything else. That is our burden of performance, or, as i like to think of it, privilege of performance.

I take it as a shit test to you. Snuff it out as if your teenager talked to a polite stranger that way.

I knew the quote and who Oscar Wilde is. I had to google Frank Underwood, thinking he might be someone who said it first..haha. Otherwise good post.

A year in? Either a troll or you have not worked through any of the sidebar. There is so much shit in this toilet to unclog...any plumbers on here?

I agree with Reach. Action is the only way. I listen to a lot of audible but my only progress in my mission comes from my action.

Start with the way of the superior man by David Deida and then take the softness out with the way of men by Jack Donovan. Great stuff in both books, but exclude what doesn't resonate with your mission.

My understanding is that Rambo was in the anger phase and went "Rambo" and kicked ass. In the movie it was awesome and worked to defeat his enemies, but that doesn't work in your personal life with your significant other. Digest the pill and work through your own shit solo and with your brothers. Your wife/LTR isn't the antagonist in Rambo, so don't go Rambo on her. It's your own doing where the state of your relationship resides. Use that energy and fix yourself.

Go full keto. Will help your brain as much as you eating issues. Go strict and report back in 3 weeks when the depression lifts, it will.

I see a ton of the "I'm well earning, well educated," they're podunk rednecks attitude. Kill the ego brother, you are no better nor special than anyone else, whether you have a handful of degrees or a GED or make $20K, $200K, or $20MM per year. No need to to pound into the kids head how much better you think you are than the guys that challenged you. That's a beta as fuck attitude and what women do.

You want validation that what you did was ok. You left a fucking three year old where randoms could, and likely would be. I have two toddlers and as much as I "trust" their judgement, I wouldn't let them out of sight for the life of me, especially on vacation. Some weirdo could snatch a 3 year old in seconds and you're taking pics up some watchtower. Good for not getting physical, cause you would of got your ass beat and then had the kids witness dad getting his ass beat by some stoner and his b…

I found RP over a year ago and wife was prego with #2, my life is much, much better (though can always improve), but I heeded the advise to take it very, very slow due to preg. Glad I did, cause if she wasn't preg, I would have fucking Rambo'd no doubt. I make mistakes all the time, but I learn and reflect on them and two little humans and her need me to keep my shit together for everyone's wellbeing.

You seem very new to this, slow down. Take time to swallow the pill in a silent/stoic way and focus on only improving you. Your posts are bordering on rambo and you seem like you are a decent guy that jumped in the deep end before knowing how to swim. Give its months to swallow the pill and then start your journey nice and slow. You have two young kids, don't blow shit up. The 3 year DB is your fault. Own it, stop taking it out on her. You have to master yourself before you can lead and then you…

I bet even the fatties on here fast 56 hrs per week (sleep). One should fast 12-16 hrs per day, and then a little drinking is OK. Primal, keto or warrior diet will greatly augment a lifting program. >80% diet / <20% exercise = body composition.

Keep everything digital. The majority is available digitaly. Lock everything else in a cabinet. To make it easier, don't give her keys to the cabinet.
