100% this Edit: the second it was agreed we were divorcing, her problems became not my problem and vice versa. It doesn't have to be in a toxic way, but stay strong and confirm those boundaries. You'll sink your own ship helping her at this point in your lives. Short story; ex-wife backed into our shared garage (out of inattentiveness). In order for me to get my car out (for the garage to work) I had to put it back on the tracks, but when I looked at her car I said, "you'll want to get that fixe…

Boundaries are hard because unless you ask, they're mostly reactive and discovered in the moment. I can't imagine people in the dating stage go, "I have a house btw and I'm not gonna sell it ever". Or maybe they do these days idk I got divorced this year and haven't dated in over 6 so I'm relearning the ropes as zoomers are now in the dating pool unfortunately lol

Something I read online that my IRL female friends have confirmed is that women don't do anything without a game plan in place…

That's hilarious, I wish I had the gratification! The only one I got was she jokingly said "when we date again in 20 years" (we liked each other as kids, but we didn't know that until we started dating years later as adults). At the time I thought she meant date other people after taking the time to heal from HER divorcing ME. So in the moment I just looked at her and didn't respond with anything bc in my mind I was already past being with her in any way to the point it didn't even dawn on me wh…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
