Include water bottles or Gatorade. Breast feeding dries you out like nothing else.

I second the sponge. I used it and loved it, the only problem is that it is expensive (about $20 for three, but one can be kept in and used for multiple sexual encounters in a 24 hour period). There is a reason there's a whole episode of Seinfeld about the sponge!

Dryness is normal during breastfeeding - your fluids are going to the breastmilk! Water water water. Same with the reduced sex drive - evolution's way of focusing resources on the existing offspring rather than diverting resources to potential future offspring and jeopardizing the first one's survival. I'm due in less than a month and want husband to be happy too - I like the idea of making things playful even when you can't engage in all activity!

Being bossy and judgmental basically. I've toned it down a lot.

We met online (match.com). I was in an LTR my early twenties which failed spectacularly, then did online dating for about a year and a half. Over time I got better at screening, and learned for myself that getting on my 'sassy horse' was not cute and turning off guys. I eventually met my now husband, we hit it off immediately. We were engaged within a year and married about six months later in a small but lovely ceremony.

I know that sometimes people feel iffy about this, but what about AA? The point of the program is not just to quit drinking, but to gain support in coping with all the SHIT that comes up when you quit (largely the reasons that kept you drinking in the first place). It might be something to consider, the meetings are free. Another free online option I have heard of is blahtherapy.com. You can speak with just a random person who can provide an ear and maybe some advice/feedback, or pay to speak wi…

I am a therapist and have worked with pepper with anxiety disorders and I agree. Anxiety is HIGHLY treatable without medication. Strongly encourage finding a counselor who specializes in anxiety so she can learn some long term skills for managing and reducing her anxiety. Dependence on benzos is going down a bad road.

BPD is always there, it develops as a result of (typically) childhood abuse. She may be skilled at hiding some nasty traits or they just don't come out around you in the beginning due to part of the disorder called 'splitting' - viewing things as all good or all bad. At the beginning you may be viewed as all good, then later do something that makes you viewed as all bad and then the shit comes out. Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder typically involve having a first break or episode in early adul…

As far as functional advice for how to 'divorce' your lives if you are broken up, you may get some other advice on /r/relationships or something, but I'll let you know what I did a few years ago when I broke up with a boyfriend, we were living together and had fairly enmeshed finances. Start by separating accounts, if any are combined. Cancel any joint credit cards. If there are certain services in his name (like cable or internet), just let him handle it and don't worry about it. You can set up…

Congrats! I loved my small wedding. We were initially planning a larger wedding last June, and moved things up for health insurance purposes. We tied the knot with 20 people (immediate family, the 2 living grandmothers, and a couple of close friends) in the private party room at a small fancy bar. We legally self-officiated (Quaker law in PA) but my brother presided over the ceremony. He did a great job, and our other siblings did a reading together. I wore a blue cocktail dress that I already h…

How old are you? Still in college? Everyone does NOT immediately grow up, there is plenty of partying and immature behavior to go around even after college. Believe me. It's not like everyone snaps their fingers and starts attending black-tie cocktail parties. If that is a stereotype about American culture, that everyone is immediately expected to be a 'grown up' upon graduating college, it is a false one.

Definitely - practice makes better! I went through a period of lots of online dating over a year and a half (about 20 first dates in that time). I definitely learned a lot about my own dating behavior, my challenge was not to get on my 'sassy horse,' and over the course of the last six months or so I wasn't even nervous going on first dates anymore. Now happily married for almost a year to the last man I dated!

The way it was said by a radio psychologist I used to listen to - don't go home with a man (or invite him to your home) unless you are ready to have each other for dessert ;)

My husband drives more than I do on a daily basis, in more irritating traffic (rush hour), so normally when we do something together, I drive. But I always ask if he prefers to drive. I don't view his preference not to drive as weak, I think the whole thing is a non issue. Just do what you want with this one.

If you can afford it, get sponges (yes of Seinfeld fame). Non-hormonal, easy to use, doesn't diminish sensation. The only downside is that they're a little expensive compared to other options (about 3 dollars each). I've used them on and off over the years and would use them exclusively if I had problems with the pill. Cannot recommend them enough, and I totally understand why there was a whole TV episode about them!

They all look the same, especially in that photo which I have seen before and is a group of beauty pageant contestants, because they all had the same plastic surgery. That is not just the same makeup.

You may have to find a way to just accept that while an injury is healing, you will have some pain. Being grouchy isn't going to make your pain less and nobody can take it away. Just needs time to heal. So while it's healing and the pain is there, you can live your life the best you can or be miserable.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
