I think that being a decisive person is just a desirable quality in general. For me, it boils down to personality type, not whether you're a man or a woman. I'm not sure if you're familiar with Myers Briggs, but he divided people into 16 different personality types. People who choose to respect rules and deadlines, always have a plan, and like step-by-step instructions, fall into the judging category. People who prefer to leave their options open, are more flexible with deadlines, and are more s…

I think a very loud minority of modern feminists believe that gender is a construct. I'm a modern feminist and I don't believe that. There are a lot of feminists that are more moderate but tend not to be as loud as the extremists, which I think is true of any group. I recognize that there are clear differences between men and women, and I think most people do, but I don't believe that our manhood or womanhood defines us as humans. Are you not partners working to build a life together? Marriage i…

Where does feminism deny basic biology? In its most basic definition, feminism calls for the equal opportunity of both men and women within society. I am a woman and I can confidently tell you that most women want an equal partner, not someone to lead them. Yes, sometimes one partner will take the lead, and other times the other will take the lead, depending on strengths and weaknesses. That's how well balanced relationships work.

I'm a woman and I've learned a lot from my father and the other men in my life. I have a younger brother and I've tried to guide him and teach him what I have to offer as an older sister. You're shutting down potentially helpful advice from half the human population with that close minded way of thinking. How do you ever expect to be a partner to a woman if you feel like she has nothing to teach or offer you? It's not about making men into women and vice versa, it's about creating well rounded p…

I acknowledge that bad women exist. I'm not denying that they're out there, just like there are bad men out there. My point is that these women aren't bad because they're women, they're bad because they're just bad people. The same goes for men. RP loves to lump us together based on sex when in reality, sex is only one of many facets that determine who we are as people.

I know that bad people exist, but does that mean I can judge everyone based on their actions? I've been physically abused and cheated on by men in the past. I know other women who've had the same things happen to them. Can I go around saying that all men are waiting around to abuse and cheat on women? I mean, I can, but I'd be doing myself a disservice. As annoying as they are sometimes, I love men and I want to be loved by a man. I can't do that if I'm constantly viewing them as my enemy based …

Oh yeah 100%, boundaries are important in any relationship. There's always going to be a give and a take and one sided relationships are never okay. I was thinking in terms of when those exchanges become toxic: The only thing a woman wants from me is x, y, z and if I don't have those things then I'm worthless. If I buy her dinner and she doesn't put out then I'm wasting my time and she's being a manipulator.

I think it demonizes both men and women. In my opinion, that's why it's so important to not only find the right partner, but to also be the right partner. There are women out there that believe in the sanctity of marriage, and I am one of them. Obviously, it's not black and white and there are certain situations that warrant breaking that vow. I don't think love is an easy thing and it's something that you have to actively choose every day, but to say that specifically women are incapable of it …

That women are incapable of unconditional love. That they will lie, cheat, and steal from men any chance they can get. That men only value women for their youth and purity. Nothing else matters to men because they're just so simple.

It's dehumanizing and shallow. It reduces every human interaction to an exchange. It projects the toxic traits of a few onto half the human population.

Exactly, they're impossible standards that aren't reflective of average, everyday people. I'm a very average looking woman who dates a very average looking man and I love him with all my heart. All of my past relationships have been with very average, normal dudes. All of the women in my life are very average women who are all dating, engaged, or married to average men. No millionaires, no fancy sports cars, no mansions, no diamonds. Be wary of influencers. Their lives are almost never what they…

Don't you think women were forced into that role? It's unfair to say that it's natural when women had no agency over their lives for centuries. We couldn't own land or property, we couldn't get an education, we couldn't hold higher paying positions, we couldn't open bank accounts or build credit, and we couldn't vote. Women literally could not function in society without a man. So then doesn't it make sense that this notion of needing a smart, dependable man has been so instilled in women? Our s…

I think everyone has masculine and feminine energy. A well-rounded person is balanced between the two. They are yin and yang, you cannot have one without the other. Personally, I view my feminine energy as my inward energy and my masculine energy as my outward energy. For example, self reflection falls within my feminine, and self discipline falls within my masculine.

You do realize that male escorts exist and there are women that pay for them, right? If you have a relationship with anyone, whether you're a man or a woman, you're going to need to put in effort. Where did you get this absurd idea that putting effort into a relationship is a negative thing? You cannot be an effective partner without putting in effort. I go out of my way to do things for my partner all of the time, and he does the same for me. I'm not going to argue anymore. You seem very set in…

SOME men pay for sex, just like SOME women pay for sex. If you're talking about a select group of undesirable men, then say that. You can't generalize men, because most men have healthy relationships with women that extend beyond just sex. And desire isn't tied to sexual desire, which again, isn't quantifiable. Do you know how many times I've seen posts about women that have high libidos with boyfriends who are so indifferent to them? Don't you think they feel undesired? Feeling undesired isn't …

You said that it's not the case that women find men attractive, which isn't true at all. If we're specifically talking about male incels, then yes, I don't think anyone finds them particularly attractive. And they don't really help themselves either.

A lot of it stems from insecurity, not anything factual. I am a woman and I love all of the men in my life. I am currently dating the man that I plan to marry and I love him with all of my heart. All of the women in my life are either dating, engaged, or married to men. All I have to do is walk out my door and I'll see average women and average men in relationships with each other. I'm not sure where you're getting that from?

Personally, this wouldn't fly with me. I understand unemployment happens, but to choose unemployment over having a steady income...to play video games of all things...extremely irresponsible and shortsighted. I would laugh in a guy's face if he ever proposed this to me. Having a responsible, reliable partner is extremely important to me. 1000000% this!!! It's taken me sooooo long to come to terms with this. All through my early 20s I was made to feel so guilty for not being on the same level as my male partners. Women are never taught about their sexuality and we're constantly being viewed through the lens of male sexuality. It's hard to figure things out when literally no one around you acknowledges it! I think this is very normal for women. Our hormones are constantly fluctuating. Unlike my partner's, my sex drive is never consistent, and I used to get really upset about it. There are months when I literally want nothing to do with sex and it feels more like a chore, and then there are months when I want to jump on him 3/4 times a week and I feel like a sex goddess. I think sex for most women is very mental. I need to be mentally turned on and most of that work falls on me. It has very little …

I just think back to when one of the tires on my car was low so I pulled over to fill it with my bike pump (I always keep one in my car, just in case). I am a woman and dating is hard for everyone. It's not a male specific experience. You are going to meet a lot more people that you're incompatible with than you are compatible with. That's just reality. You cannot take rejection to heart, and I know that's easier said than done. I've learned to view dating as a learning experience. Why didn't it work out? This is why the entire concept of female virginity is flawed and ridiculous to begin with. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. You cannot hold a virginal woman on a pedestal while simultaneously wishing she were a freak in the sheets. You cannot place a higher value on women with a lower n count but also want to use up other women you deem as lower value for your personal pleasure. It's completely hypocritical. Both of my parents grew up dirt poor and worked their asses off to make it out. They are now upper middle class and they've instilled this same mentality in me. Social mobility does exist, you are not stuck in the situation you are born into. If you believe that then you've already lost. It may be harder, but not impossible. Poor people and rich people view finances VERY differently, it's all a mindset. I highly recommend the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad."

There's a lot of shitty people in the world, both men and women. It sucks having to weed through them when dating, that's a problem we all deal with. I've been burned by men in the past and I'd be lying if I said it hasn't affected the way that I internally view men. 100% this! It's not like I'm saying anything groundbreaking either. People generally want to lead easy, stress-free lives and to do that you need to be responsible and smart with your finances. I hold myself to a certain standard and I expect my life partner to meet that standard as well. I'm not asking for anything that I don't already bring to the relationship myself. You have certain values and you want a partner who has the same values. Exactly, I think the shared values matter more than the type of job that a man has or the amount of money he brings in. Not trying to change his values or complaining about how his values are so underrepresented. This is something I had to accept for myself. I'm not contradicting myself. I never said anywhere that he needs to make an equal amount of money to me. For the third time, the specific dollar amount that a man makes does not matter to me. He needs to match the criteria that I bring to the table, i.e. solid career, financial stability, and financial literacy. If he cannot match me with those three criteria, then I do not view him as a reliable partner. I make over that amount and yes, I would still consider him. Like I said, I already suppor…

This is what is commonly referred to as a reading comprehension issue in the real world. I said that the amount of money that a man makes does not matter to me so long as he has a career, financial stability, and financial literacy. You act like healing and moving on from abuse is a bad thing. Do you want to hold onto it or something? I grew up with a physically abusive father and I've been cheated on and used in relationships. Do I go around thinking that every man is a cheater and an abuser? Absolutely not. Do I think that it's okay for me to go and abuse and cheat on other men because I've been hurt? Absolutely not. You are indirectly blaming other people for your lack of esteem. You are seeking out attractive women to purposely hurt them because you want some weird, sick power over them. You think you were wronged because you were rejected in the past and now you want to pass that hurt onto someone else who doesn't deserve it. I am a woman, but I can already name several places where men can congregate to build themselves up. I'm not religious, but when I was in highschool I was a part of a young woman's group at a church. How you view women is extremely fucked up and they should stay away from you. It's 100% on you for not having your shit together. Don't blame anyone else. As someone who was almost cheated on (I found out, confronted them, and then left them before it could happen), the signs were all there. I chose to ignore them because I was young and naive and thought I could change him. I wouldn't worry about your partner cheating on you if they're genuinely a good person and you have a healthy relationship with open communication. It definitely matters which apps you're using. If you're just looking for something casual, use Tinder. If you're looking for something more serious, use Hinge. My BIGGEST piece of advice for men using dating apps is to have a female friend or sister look over your profile. Have them take photos for you and read over your responses. Divine femininity is both masculine and feminine. You cannot have one without the other. They are yin and yang. I think of my feminine as my inward reflection and my masculine as my outward action. No one is 100% feminine or 100% masculine. When people try to be 100% one or the other, I think that's when traits become toxic. How I personally define masculine energy within myself: unwavering, brave, commanding, leading, determined, progressive. How I personally define feminine energy within myself: empathetic, nurturing, …

Whoa, I'm going to have to disagree with you there. Women deserve focus in the bedroom, orgasm or not. They deserve partners who are attentive to their sexual needs, just as they are attentive to their partner's. Women are not a one size fits all, and our needs and wants are not all the same. It's the way that a lot of men view female orgasm that's the problem. In my experience, it has very little to do with them caring about my pleasure, and more to do with them getting an ego boost and the con…

I wouldn't say go sleep around or anything, but definitely put yourself out there. Go on dates, and lots of them! Since your end goal is to be a wife, look for individuals that are looking for something long term. You don't have to wait until marriage to have sex if you feel like that's not for you anymore, but do it with intension. The second person you sleep with doesn't have to be your end all be all, but make sure that he's a serious candidate. Ultimately, it's up to you and what feels true …

I (27F) never orgasmed (alone or with a partner) until last year, and I completely relate to where you're coming from. Whenever I would tell my previous partners that I had never orgasmed before, they would kind of treat it like a competition. Like I was some conquest. I would always preface by saying that it's totally okay if I don't orgasm (and that most likely, I probably wouldn't). That I feel completely satisfied with the closeness and intimate aspects of sex. But I never actually felt hear…

1000000% love that you're doing this for yourself. I'm a little older (27F) and I ended a 2.5 year relationship a little over a year ago. I was instantly flung from a feeling of security to desperation. I fell for some messy dudes and it wasn't doing anything for me. I decided to take time for myself and work on a lot of the things you've mentioned. I wanted to get better at cooking, build a solid routine for myself, curate a nice wardrobe, and focus on some hobbies that took to the wayside whil…

Did you even read the study or are you just jumping to your own conclusions? The article never said that men are hopeless or stupid. It simply stated that men and women develop and learn differently. The current curriculum isn't reflective of that, which is why so many young boys are diagnosed with ADHD. The studies are provided to help educate teachers and parents about the differences in development so that they know how to better help their children. Absolutely nothing negative was said about…

And I'm not saying you're wrong about that, I also believe that people are capable of whatever they set their minds to. But when scientific research and evidence proves a point that doesn't align with your beliefs you can't just disregard it as propaganda either. This article is meant to educate people about the differences in brain development between men and women so that we can all learn to the best of our abilities.

It's not about what I believe or not. I'm not the one that's been studying this topic for 40+ years.

You're saying that a study that was conducted over 40+ years is wrong because it doesn't align with what you believe? Please list the other studies that you mentioned showing different numbers, I'm curious. I'm sorry about your teacher but it sounds like you're letting your personal feelings and experiences seep into something that's unbiased and scientific.

Personally, I've never had any of my high value, long term partners ask me about "body count". We talk about our past long term relationships but that's about it. If it comes up I don't think it's fair to lie about it but I also think it's fair of you to state that you don't feel comfortable talking about it. As long as you have tested yourself and are up front with your current partner about the medical aspects of your sexual past the rest shouldn't matter. "Body count" is all subjective anyway…

No problem! You're definitely going to have to give it time and there's going to be plenty of not so good people that you're going to have to go through before you meet the right person. Even those not so good people are good in a way. They teach you what you want and don't want out of a partner. Every dating experience I've had has gotten better and better because I'm slowly learning what not to accept.

I also lean very heavily on the introverted side. I've been seeing my partner for two months now and we met on Bumble, he's seriously the best! It's hard to meet other introverts out in the wild and I'm definitely not going to meet men at my weekly weaving class! I've also given up on the idea that a super hot guy will come up to me at the library and ask what I'm reading... I think your best bet is to meet people through mutual friends or online date. I've found that Hinge and Bumble usually pr…

I usually try to break my weekends up into three segments: boyfriend time, friend time, and alone time. I try to never schedule more than one thing a day. For example, I might go out to dinner with friends on Friday, spend the day with my boyfriend on Saturday, and then Sunday is dedicated to chores / decompressing by myself. I'm definitely more of a planner and it'll take setting some boundaries but definitely not impossible!
