The squeaky wheel gets the grease, but often the squeaky wheel gets replaced.

Out of curiosity, where in the country are you? I'm in the midwest and I like to think the "southern hospitality" stereotype still exists. Had a plate cook me meatloaf last night, and it was fucking awesome.

This is absolutely the reason I turn on read receipts on my iPhone. I deliberately read their message (and they know that), yet still get nothing back from me. Just another source of food for that poor hamster. "He saw it, why hasn't he replied yet?!"

That can happen too. Most of the more attractive girls know what they're doing, so they go with their girlfriends and leave their providers at home. If you want more info, check out The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band by Neil Strauss, the same gentleman that wrote The Game(if you're on this sub and haven't read that either, well fucking get to it already! lol).

Sure. One such story is of a fairly popular artist that told his stage crew that he likes a certain type of girl(skinny tall blondes), and could even point them out while on stage using gestures that the crowd wouldn't notice. The stage hand would then go out to these girls when the show was almost over and ask them to come back stage with him. From there, it was all business. Artist finishes encore, goes off stage, and in minutes is railing random girl from the crowd. Another one was a an artis…

I'd love to play in a national act, traveling across the country and living the life(several friends do this and the stories, my god). Talk about untouchable SMV, that puts you at 8-10, regardless of looks or physique. That being said, the money isn't quite what you think it is, last I heard the average pro touring band salary was around $50k. If you're in a more well known band it can be in the low six figures. Me personally, I'll always be striving to be better, lift more, play better, get in …

They can, but it's rare. In my area we're all a close knit kind of family, so I've gotten to know some of these bigger acts. Couple of my friends play in a super popular cover band, and even for the smaller bars they bring out the whole lights show, smoke machines, pro level sound equipment(as opposed to the house sound). They also get paid almost double what my regular cover band makes. Another good example are "tribute" bands, or show bands. Another friend plays in an 80's hair metal show band…

Reading this, I gathered Cee's mom was a branch swinger since "mom was a hottie", and dad was obviously BB judging by the Porsche. She was simply following mom's example, and using her looks to support her hypergamy. She kept you around as long as you were useful to her, and sorry to say poppa bear fulfilled all the needs you were providing to her. Stay strong, lift, and learn from your mistakes(which it sounds like you've done).

Depends honestly. If it's a bigger show there will be a backstage area/green room where you can single them off. It's another SMV increase if it's all locked down with a security guy and you drop that line "she's with me" as you flash your wristband. Instant validation, and basically a LMR killer. I play with an original band or two on occasion, and these types of shows are more common with original music. It's the one redeeming thing about playing in small, undiscovered original music, since yo…

Occupation: Cover band musician While it's not amazing pay(typically $100-200 a night), once you get your branding and become recognized you can start playing anywhere from 1-5 nights a week. I still maintain a day job(IT consultant), because the money is just too good, and rely on the health insurance and 401k which are things you can't get from playing music unless you get signed by a major label. Playing music is much more than just the easy $100 and free drinks though, it's a pretty decent S…

Yes, I get SAD every year, and taking 2000IU of Vit. D and using one of those "sun lamps" has definitely helped. Changing my gym routine usually helps too. If I've been doing 4x8 sets I'll change and do 5x5 or do burnouts and drop sets. Changing it up exhausts you, and for me personally feels like it reactivates my endorphin production.

That was DJ Stolen, and also the inspiration for her song titled "Fuck Him(He's a DJ)". Ironic that the song is all about hooking up with a DJ, isn't it?

Just a typical shit test from demonstrating high value with potentially too much negging. I think in this situation ignoring it was the best option, but a clever agree and amplify could have really been interesting too.

It's the salesman trick, first one to speak loses. A silent form of dread. Either she will crack and say "let's do it" or she won't and you will have lost nothing.

Absolutely no shame in this. Good friend of mine did exactly this and now has worked his ass off to get to making six figures as a motivational speaker.

Show mother goose your beta provider side, sprinkle a little Machiavellian actions in there and you flip her over to your side.

Yep, their sperm is a means to an end for some of these girls. Ditched one plate when I realized just how baby crazy she was, and the high probability that she would try to baby trap me.

This is fucking scary. 100% of these were my upbringing. It wasn't until I got out of the house that I started to see I was on a path to self-destruction, and for some miracle started making healthy changes on my own.

She's the type of person that lives their life in the middle of a shit storm, so no. Never a reply, and after 10 minutes I never expected one. The hamster couldn't be bothered to spin that fast with so little motivation so it just got ignored.

Ha, girl on my Facebook posted the link to this with the caption "you've GOT to be kidding me". My legitimate question of, "please explain what you think is wrong about this" has gone unanswered (as expected).

I can personally attest to this. Couple years ago I lost 40 pounds and quit smoking, only to be ridiculed by my best friend and girl I was seeing at the time. They started by mocking my new habits, and eventually attacking my character. They both bowed out of my life, and a couple months later the girl came back around to congratulate me on finishing my first Ironman. I told her to kick rocks. Just remember, when you start taking flak from both sides, it means you are over the target. Good post …
