I think it should be good to point out her disrespectful behavior. Its not childish, she is getting a taste of her own medicine. It tells her she will get what she puts in the marriage. Also, "Well, this Valentine’s Day she shows up with a repaired ring on her hand. Steeped in romantic gestures, she presents me with mine and puts it on. " This can make her believe that you can be manipulated by romance and sweet talk. You have to punish her for bad behavior.

You should have given her some anxiety by refusing to wear the ring for a few months (until she can't handle it any more). "You didn't wear it for 4 years even when I told you, why should I listen to you now?"

If your diet is bad I am sure you are deficient in magnesium. Magnesium is one of the most important minerals for heart health. Try supplementing with it or eat lots of foods containing magnesium.
