NONONONONONONO Single gender high schools may be better for actual learning, but being surrounded by only males will make life a living hell. I went to a single gender school for only one year, and in that year, I came closer to suicide than at any other point in my life.
I second this. I'm currently going into my senior year, and up until high school, I HATED school, because everything was taught the same damn way, and I struggled. Once I got into high school, I found my interest in computers, and my happiness has grown, and it may very well have saved my future.
I went to a single gender school in the 8th grade. It was a horrible thing. It turns out that all that testosterone with no estrogen to balance it out makes competition between people go through the roof. I was ridiculed daily for not being atheltic, even though it was suppossed to be an academics based school. That was the only year of my life that I have truly contemplated suicide.
I went to a single-sex school for 8th grade back in 08-09. The amount of competition caused by lack of estrogen to balance everything out put me on the verge of suicide.
I consider myself fortunate that I have flat feet. Thats right, I'm glad to have a slight disability, just so I don't have to worry about being forced into war.
