It's about kids of single parents (usually single moms) not receiving adequate attention/care. Kids need two parents. This is not necessarily about masculinity.... although these males create single moms but what do I know?

You're right. I told him let's just not do gifts for Christmas (i don't celebrate) but he got me some jewelry anyway (and I'm sure he'll get me things for vday/bday). I said I don't like the idea of only giving to receive or because you think you have to. If he sees something that he thinks I'll like, sure go ahead (and I would do the same). On many instances, he'd say how he wants to get me a housewarming/new job/whatever gift but then nothing . We're long distance and having issues beyond gift…

Future fake gifters are the worst. Dealing with one now. They get off on thinking of themselves as generous guys (and often refers to himself as that) but then zero follow through. It makes me wonder if I just misunderstood and of course I don't want to bring it up (but i did a couple times and boy is it uncomfortable but hilarious). Eventually told him let's just not do gifts.

I know exactly what you mean with 4. They're disappointed/uninterested in "dumb girls" (aka humanities, social sciences etc) because they can't keep up with their self-indulgent monologues about STEM. But then when you can keep up, they don't want to have a conversation and just want you to be in awe of their intellect. This blatant need to flex is such a turnoff as it signals a lack of true confidence.

In France, all women are Mrs. to address this issue of only women's marital status being reflected in their title. It made me feel old at first but now I prefer it.

Without knowing the exact extent of your involvement with him, I think it's safe to say (as you pointed out yourself) that you're not into him. I really don't see how he's crossed the line with his comments.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
