From what I gather by her words, this runs much deeper than being attractive to men and more about staying relevant and valuable in a society that values women as commodities. All women today are held to extremely difficult standards, we need to be academically successful, we need to have high paying jobs and above all we need to be beautiful. For women of color, it's almost a necessity or else you have no value and people will walk all over you. There's no room to be weak. This girl accomplishe…

Men inflate their popularity by having a lot of women they met on dating apps follow them or added as friends.

There are men that don't use dating apps at all because they see it as a waste of time and rather invest that time into more fulfilling hobbies. Yes, these men can be LV too but instant gratification apps tend to attract LV people.

Some users here argue that they can use FDS strategies to vet through men on OLD because they can't meet men irl for whatever reason. It's true, you can but it's extremely rare and kind of misleads inexperienced women into trying it out. Even if it's just to practice dealing with men, it's an extremely low value way to spend your time. I could never tolerate OLD for more than two days at a time even before FDS.

Yeah. Throw yourself in your hobbies and you're likely to meet better men through that. There was a thread a few weeks ago encouraging OLD and I wish FDS had a no OLD policy because it's highly unlikely hvw can put up with it for long.

The number system is archaic and inherently low value, people can't be assigned numbers. Leagues aren't really a thing outside of high school.

In future don't reply and go straight to blocking especially if they're someone you don't have to interact with at work.

The best advice I can give you is to develop a sense of worth that isn't dependent on the male gaze. Pick up a sport or other type of physical activity that connects you physically to your body. Try to find what makes you feel beautiful. I rather not date when I have insecurities like this since you're more at risk for developing a dependency on male validation. Develop a strong sense of self-worth by yourself.

Yeah, but this thread makes it seem like it's a viable option when in reality there are a plethora of other ways to meet high value candidates that don't involve putting yourself in a catalogue of women hoping to get picked. Also, if a woman has a scarcity mindset and need dating apps for validation (essentially LV validation) maybe it would be better to work on that first. FDS isn't whatever you want it to be, it exists for a reason but threads like this give women false hope.

This gives women the wrong idea about these apps. It's a huge time waster and extremely low effort. It's not really an opinion when it's backed up by numbers. It's great if you believe you've found gold in trash, but the amount of casual abuse and vitriol one has to expose oneself too is not worth it.

FDS holds higher standards than regular dating and HVW wouldn't expose themselves to the vitriol on OLD.

I feel for her because on one end I can understand where she's coming from. She's sweet and well articulated, that man took advantage of her. I can't imagine using someone you have little interest in to spend money like that on you. How did he not feel emasculated? These men truly hate women.

I lost my virginity to a man that told me he only finds really white girls attractive after we had PIV sex for the first time (not really white). I wasted 2 months getting to know that loser and it still hurts years later, I can't imagine the pain from this.

As a woman that values creativity and substance, this is a unique proposal. Not only does it require financial resources, it requires actual interest and investment in the person you're with.

Stay off dating apps because they're more likely to dwell there as well.

Out of curiosity, how do you recover from something like this? I was in an abusive relationship when I was a teenager and everyone took his side. I've been a loner since then and have had a lot of trouble trusting anyone whether it be a friend or partner.

I currently live in a southern European country and this is super common! Men with gorgeous girlfriends checking me out like they've never seen a woman in shorts before. It's disrespectful and a lot of the time the women know what they're doing.

This is disgusting but also what I've noticed, especially if their friends are racist.

As a woc I wonder if white guys try to cheap out more on us or if it's an individual cheapness thing and they're like that with white women as well.

As a former overweight girl, it's a different kind of hard. Men will really pretend to be nice to you for months just for 5 seconds of sex. It's almost like having a personality doesn't matter in the slightest.

Life can be much shorter than we think, we should live it as we choose without hurting or taking advantage of others. There's still a very real social stigma against women that don't want to date even if they are fine with the way their lives are. They're either looked down upon or men see it as an opportunity to waste their time in other ways (harassment, free therapy, triangulate their girlfriends). Ignore them, do what serves you.

I don't argue. Since I'm not financially obligated to listen to him, I would physically remove myself from the situation.

FDS made me realize that I don't need to be in a relationship at all. It's not worth the trouble and conflicts with my life goals. Since I don't want children nor to get married, men are a liability. Even if I were a minimum wage worker, I would still be able to sustain my lifestyle in the country I live in because I don't have a huge financial liability. FDS helped me set standards for myself that I used to feel bad for setting like not wanting to interact with people that party a lot, have no …
