She's out of his league...always batting up, not down. /at least that's how I remember what that saying means technically the phrase can work either way if looking at the words, but the nuance of meaning usually comes in context. usually, in conversational use, the out of league person is the "higher value" person. it's a low life type crying in his beer "she's out my league" not the A+ babe thinking the low life is "out of my league". He would be, but that's not how the phrase is used.

That's a nice thing to post OP. :) You know Mods: You guys get PTSD or anything, ever? I can only imagine what you read/see. If not already, it never hurts to reach to a support person (friend/therapist/internetcommunity/etc). :) ETA: and does Reddit offer any support there?

My dad used to say, we choose what we want to make a priority. If you're getting mixed signals, no choice has been made, and you're not a priority. That's how I see it at least.

How do we FDS in the time of COVID-19? Especially in the early stages. Basically relegated to OLD and no where to go bc everything is closed. How do you evaluate effort and investment when all we seem to have is texting. How are we busy - everyone knows we are home. I mean I have things I do, work from and yoga and reading etc. I mean essentially he knows we are home. He knows I have my phone and I'm at home. We're ALL at home for the most part. I'm just having trouble thinking outside the box I…

STOP SAYING YOU CANT WIN. THAT IS INTERNALIZATION OF MISOGYNISTIC PATRIARCHAL IDEALS. The actual "win" is not giving a f*ck and focusing on yourself and being the best you can be despite this contradictory bs.

The part where the Bible/Torah/Q'uan said so. Duh. (Sarcasm btw) I say fuck that noise. But I get it. Men can't handle the truth and shame us because they have been taught to do so from the day they were born. Women do this bc they've internalized the misogyny. We are slowly starting to know better, but it's so ingrained in our patriarchal society it's taking quite a bit of time.

No no no no no! Thinking you have lost when you have a girl is part of the problem and exactly what this meme is talking about. Having a daughter is the only way you actually can ensure your bloodline is passed down. Think about it: your son comes home with a pregnant woman - anybody's baby can be in that belly. Your daughter comes home with a pregnant belly - you are 100% certain that's your bloodline.

A broad generalization based on limited experience: dated two doctors, one surgeon, and family friends that are doc and another a surgeon. The surgeons have the god complex quite a bit more acutely than the medical docs.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
