Err except until these classes the majority of girls learning to code occurs in university. It's usually the case that they are treated better because the media etc. has painted it as such a rare privilege etc. to have a girl in STEM. They are also offered scholarships more often due to this. Never seen a girl at university treated badly and the environments have always been those of supporting each other.

WoW was made to appeal to casuals more and more, which explains the equalling of the player base (though WoW did have quite a lot of female players to start with). Those who liked more 'hardcore' aspects have mostly quit and were probably mostly men. I remember once there was outrage when devolore was in a documentary and said something like 'female players cause drama'. I think it's appalling to call men who look for tips and advice on hooking up with women, losers. In my area (20 minute drive distance) we have 6 gender separate high schools, 4 girl only and 2 boy only. The two issues are quite separate, one is an unnecessary procedure with a few 'potential benefits'. The other is recommended in order to survive some of the most deadly diseases to affect the human race. Ultimately you have to show that genital mutilation and possible death is more necessary than a very very small chance of dying to a vaccine. I saw it in the media that the plan was to roll out the HPV vaccine to girls starting with girls aged 9/10 South Africa for free. There are issues with the cost of the vaccine it seems. Meh personally I'd word things a bit differently. e.g. Acknowledgement (spelt wrong in img btw) of spousal abuse against men. (instead of battered men). I would also add Discrimination against men. Good point and something I will consider in the future. It is always very difficult to argue about merits of big movements/causes/ideas simply because they are almost always open to interpretation. Sadly the truth is that in the UK and USA voting has little impact on what the Government does. I used to believe the 'it's only radicals' line but given how much of it is in the media and how many celebs it influences and how celeb culture means blind idolization.
