Can you cite a recent case where the situation involved a father with a similar outcome? If I can be shown equality in the judicial system, then I will yield to your consideration. I also still fear for the safety of the other child.

In that case anyone that is not looking out for their child's welfare can never be blamed for their child's death. Regardless of the medical/mental condition of the mother. It's negligence, and she should be punished accordingly. If the child has gotten out before, then proper steps should have been taken to prevent it from happening again. But I feel like you're hell bent on defending her, and not the child. So I will leave it at that.

Although I understand what you are saying; the fact is that she was negligent. Such as a person driving a car drunk with a child in the back seat, who get in an accident and kills the child. That happened, and he was charged with negligence, child endangerment and 1st degree manslaughter. (sorry, I can't find the source) She however, does something similar and gets nothing. That is the issue. If it had been the father, I could almost guarantee a very different outcome. I am guessing you might be…
