My Grandpa went looking for that more than a few times.

Sorry. Same happened to me. 8 years. Open relationship request was a red line and opened my eyes as to how blind I had been. Time wasted, but a future worth living.

Good lord that's a similar story. At the very least you won't miss her one bit when she's gone. It made it easier for me at least to know that I wasn't going to be overwhelmed by my new life taking care of the kids (I was already doing it full time and a full time job).

Happened to me. Same age, almost verbatim - she got bored.

As someone who's gone through something similar, it sneaks up on you. AWALT, truly. My ex-wife vacuumed and dusted while I did everything else. Plenty of sex and activeness. Que baby #1 and baby #2 and she converted into sheer laziness. I refused to live in a dirty house so I just did it. I loved her and my family so I put up with it (grudgingly). Occasionally, I would flip out, but mostly I dealt with it. Eventually, it was not good enough and she left to chase Chads while she still could. I go…

My ex wife was a lazy shit. I did all the chores and child raising. When my 8 year old daughter tells me out of nowhere that she appreciates all that I've do for them, yeah they notice.

I was on a jury trial for about a month. It can be more stressful than you'd think. At the start of it she was worried that it would interfere with her staycation plans (later found out she arranged to cheat on me and thought I'd be sequestered. Yeah I was blue pill ignorant). Must have been great sex because she soon told me that I wasn't attractive and asked for an open relationship. Boy was that fun to sit in a jury box for 8 hours trying to figure out what happened and letting the mind wande…

Single Dad of two girls. I have them 80% of the time. You’ll do an amazing job. It will be difficult and I hope you have some family to lend a hand; you’ll need some time to yourself when your kid reaches 2 or 3. Still that kid is incredibly lucky to have you. Your ex left you both with an amazing gift. Certainly it sucks but imagine how fucked up your kid would grow up as if you had 50/50? What ends up being funny is that you’ll also find that most of the female bitching about being a single pa…

This story is mine in a nutshell. Good marriage of 8 years. Decent status. All friends are mine. Yet that wasn't enough. She threw away a comfortable life because of tingles. So be it. I'm still rather bitter even though it certainly could have been worse. She didn't want the responsibilities and I get to raise two girls. I get child support. Three month divorce process and done. Thankfully, I'm in a decent position financially despite divorce rape of the house/401k (of which she contributed 0 d…

All true. All of it except that mine was so selfish that she didn't even want the kids. Blessing and a curse, but I'm happy that I can try to raise them with virtues and empathy.

Mine as well. Covert narcissism is terrible, but now I at least recognize the signs of it. That person didn't exist.

As the instigator for divorce, it's a royal pain. I just completed mine and you are responsible for all the paperwork, research, taxes, etc. And I'd consider mine easy because she just wanted to disappear (mostly).

Dad here. I "won" my kids in my divorce. I have them like 90% of the time. I say "won" because while I'm ecstatic to raise them, I think it was more because she didn't want the responsibility.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
