Also parental leave here is very good, you get 80% of your salary and many people I know share it with their partner so the mom and dad stay at home for half a year to a year each. We have very few stay at home moms partly due to this I would say. And daycare is basically free so that is also a good thing. Anyway. It seems the American system always finds a way to make the people pay when the state lacks to help out. If you haven’t been pregnant; that is had a tiny little human growing inside of you, feeding from your placenta for nine months, changing your body forever, coming out of your vagina then feeding from your boobs for some time (plus all the additional hormones that comes with it), you really can’t imagine what it feels like.
