I used to sometimes think like this. But actually nm they are both equally insane/bad so it cancelled in the end and they worked it out. Two wrongs do make a right 🫶

When me and bf match 💖
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 08:54 PM

I’d say I think ppl are allowed to have any crazy covert contract they want but it’s not your responsibility to worry about it. Being delulu is not immoral but it is unfortunate lol

Best goss with the gals: My friend got invited to meet her husbands coworker with him for a drink at the pub. They show up, she informs them this is actually also a first date for her ?double booked idk (the man had asked her out 3 times and she finally agreed). The guy arrives and she hands my friend and her husband her phone opened to page on notes app titled ‘questions for mike’, and asks them to read out questions for not-Mike. She gets pissed that they are asking ‘only the easy ones’ and so…

Something on this topic I’ve been thinking about is the disempowering of women’s ability to give consent in certain circumstances. Do you think this is fair to women? If they actively want to consent. Eg your examples of differences in position, dependence and I can think of others

Guilt is sometimes the motivating emotion behind toxic/unhelpful behaviour and it’s funny because it ends up building on itself
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 11:42 AM

These women are just sad. You know how nice guys lash out when sad? Sad women say crazy stuff too. They are not asking for actual repercussions, consequences etc. Maybe they need some grace here.

QFW: what is the simp-iest behaviour you’ve received from someone you’ve dated? Early stages or later is fine My husband bought a motorbike recently off a rich guy on FB marketplace, I’ve never seen this man simp so hard in his life, jealous fr. Quadruple texting, stalking this man, checking his phone constantly stressing. I remember though back in the day he used to only message me on snap chat text since I’d be forced to reply instantly (gaming my bad memory). I complained about this so he wou…

Ppl live in the real world so they know if someone ‘promises’ commitment for sex they are actually ‘intending’ it in practicality. Thats implied right.

Maybe men should be more complimentary to themselves, they can call themselves king for booking doctors appointment if they want, like this is an optional thing. I will call my husband king for minor accomplishments lol. Now I think of it men never follow up on health issues or take their meds. Go to the doctor we beg you. So maybe self care?

It will be beautiful! I don’t regret any money I spent on my wedding, even a simple one costs a bit these days. There is more to the story in that in my family culture displays of success kinda vibes is very frowned on idk if you’ve heard of tall poppy syndrome. I got push back from some of my family ‘why can’t you just get a 2nd hand dress?’ And others ‘you need more x decorations’. So truly nothing us women can do will make everyone happy. Just do what you like

I feel like other random social conventions would pop up and people will enjoy complaining about those instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/26 12:32 AM

I’m okay with them complaining, I love reading a spicy rant or vent myself. I fear a little bit for people reading it who are too naive to see jaded venting for what it is. Esp if they are a young and impressionable. If you want to do specific campaigns that’s great I literally never participate in any political campaigns so I probably won’t do anything tho

I’m okay with lies that are more unimportant and low stakes, or if they have secrets they have to hold for other people. Me and my husband/friends will sometimes admit ‘I would lie to you about x’ so then it’s up to that person to continue the relationship knowing some things are withheld. If they are so good at lying about a particular secret that I never find out and no consequences then honestly possibly idc. Most people close to me can read me pretty easily so if I lie I’m just messing aroun…

Is it worse to have a lowish n count but it’s a range because you never counted or got names so it’s a bit fuzzy or a high n count but you can recount their names, how you met etc.

How clean is your house/living space rn? Are you tidier than your partner if you have one? The problem with me and my husband is both being unbothered by untidiness. I’ve overcome this by regularly inviting people over since I get motivation to make it nice for them.. I’m also ok with him nagging me because I need external motivation LOL
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:34 PM

My friends care so much about the opening message and overthink their reply so much. I think me and my husband were like ‘hi’ and ‘hi’ back tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:25 PM
1

I also think an interesting point is - I’m not necessarily the ‘cleaner’ person in our relationship, we’re pretty equal for cleanliness. I will also empty the bin ofc but I love stupid games like this I confess
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 12:04 PM
1

I usually announce that I am going to start doing the bins around here because it’s getting out of control or something and then make a show to go to do it. Then he runs over. I love reverse psychology 🙏

Yes. My anxiety as a child was also not really treated by therapy in my opinion, it was 100% because the therapist told my parents to change schools and they did that for me.

Yea I’m so confused by this. If you suspect foul play in any part of life you are allowed to do an investigation (personally I’d be discrete), people don’t usually want to blow up their life without evidence normally. Asking the woman directly is just a very blunt investigation tactic

I don’t downvote anyone here actually. I also don’t want bad for men. I’m just pointing out the game theory that men who opt out are providing an advantage for those that don’t. Do what you want or not with that perspective
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 12:34 PM
13

If those men didn’t get matches I’d say it doesn’t impact the dating market. If they were guys getting matches, I guess that’s good news for the 75% of men users with slightly less competition
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 08:30 AM

If men are opting out why do the ladies get so many matches
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 08:06 AM

Each couple works out what’s a fair exchange otherwise they wouldn’t be together. Gullible people who give away money for nothing are doomed to lose it. My female coworker lent tens of thousands to her ex, her new bf is clearly doing a citizenship marriage on her. If you fall for this stuff it’s on you

I don’t think you’re wrong but also women cheat. So is it really a one way thing. Anecdotally I’ve seen women cheating just as much. Older generation women cheated but took the lying insanely seriously and came up with the most elaborate back stories

/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 09:31 AM

That’s very fair. If I reject someone I kind of don’t want to be friends with them either, so that makes it easy. I feel in my life friendly things I do after I reject someone are likely to get misinterpreted by accident and feelings are hard to squash. I guess it’s interesting if the only women you interact with are romantic pursuits. That might be the real problem

I care more about lifestyle than money, that’s me. If my partner is extremely ambitious that’s his prerogative, but I’d still keep some work for the reasons mentioned
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 07:38 AM

The industry I work in is very mother heavy and interestingly it’s really common for my coworkers with like 4 kids to keep 1-2 days of work long term as ‘days off’ from be a stay at home parent and they love coming in. Things are better in moderation. My industry is pretty good for that though
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 07:23 AM

My personal ideal would be both partners work 4 days or maybe one works 3 other 4 if they can afford it. Every couple should choose but in theory sounds like a good arrangement and talking to coworkers. (After getting over early breastfeeding stage). My work allows part time and lots of office jobs are getting more open to it. Then you get both being able to be an ‘expert’ in childcare not just one. And no one is going stir crazy as full time stay at home parent. I do agree that being a full tim…

It’s weird because the girls that came out as lesbian at my high school are all bi and only sleep with men now (all girls school tho). Reverse comphet?

Totally, do that. But the devil is in the details of ‘do that’. Getting what you want is typically harder than saying what you want. From my experience it involves compromise but if you don’t need to, then power to you

Yes, something I’ve noticed my first orgasm is very fantasy/erotic thoughts based and then for multiple orgasms my mind enters like a ‘hypnotic state’ like less thoughts. Idk if that’s common

Most venting is being honest about what you don’t like, maybe problems can be solved together. The opposite of honesty is people pleasing. It erodes your boundaries and happiness. I think men should be more direct, women actually like it too since it shows self respect IMO. Okay maybe ‘like it’ is not true since they will react emotionally in the short term but they respect it more in the long term.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 03:08 AM

Possibly. So should I vent less or men vent more. Which is healthier?

I have such an aversion to watching crime tv and books, but I like dark themes in romance. It’s not the same (for me). Like the actions of a serial killer are threatening to me on a level that it’s not sexy. I can so clearly see the difference, it’s hard for you guys to fully see women’s POV on this perhaps.

Yea sure so situationships. It’s a known thing. ‘So why would a man immediately cut off a woman after sex’ I feel like you guys seem to lose your minds about this, but forget about situations when people feel strongly but there are practical problems though. Like what if they like you but their career means they have to leave the country in 6 months. One of you wants kids the other not. Or they position in relation to you makes it taboo like they are your tutor at uni/college. These situations a…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/26 07:23 PM

Definitely (for me). The ability to act on whatever impulse pops in your mind is usually only permitted in very specific scenarios. Most of the time there are barriers of some kind and you wouldn’t get very far in life if you always acted without care of consequences. Luckily for me ‘suitable man’ aligned with impulses so that part was never a problem for me once I found him. N-count wasn’t a big defining reason for restraint necessarily to clarify also.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 09:47 PM

I don’t invest in relationships with flakey people. Listen to their actions, you can be friends but I wouldn’t get close with them. This is a friend selection thing I think Unlike family we get to actually choose our friends thank god

Progressive people have very strong all or nothing mentality that really puts people off. You must subscribe to all parts of progressive world view. The problem is then people will retaliate out of spite rather than based on the merit of actual policies etc
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 11:18 AM

I’m totally okay with a clean cut cold approach with a yes/no question. It’s flattering. Staring and giving me crazy eyes is the problem. To be fair I’m mostly scared of actual crackheads not shy guys. If a shy guy was staring it would be cute. The guys I’m afraid of are literally insane crackheads who are on drugs or have no inhibitions so DGAF about your boundaries. That’s who I’m thinking of when I’m nervous on public transport for example
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/26 05:36 AM

Not every man had a family to arrange a marriage for them or one that gave enough shits to bother. You had poor men, sick men, shunned men. Black sheep, the criteria to be a black sheep may certainly be harsher now imo
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 10:43 PM

Sure, I didn’t specify the frequency of rejection or anything in my comment though. Just pointing out that rejected men previously didn’t congregate
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 09:44 PM

Rejected men have always existed. It’s a new thing that they can hang out together on masse and spiral together. I don’t know about the further consequences of this kind of talk but it seems like it might distort what could have been a phase for some men into a lifestyle. Some wacky beliefs they come up with too, at least red pill guys seem to have some sort of experience with the topics they talk about.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 09:32 PM

I am an atrocious flirt, I just flirt or banter a lot. In front of my husband, he knows, obviously he knows. I like to see my husband being a flirt too. I like it when other people are interested in him. I would crash out if he cheated on me, likewise him I’m sure if I cheated. You are allowed to draw the lines where you see fit in your own relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 07:48 PM

I think you can be right. I think for those guys they don’t respect themselves and therefore don’t respect anyone who chooses them and then they accidentally reveal that in their actions. I think they need to achieve things that give them self respect and I think that might be more with their peers, career etc first. You need self evidence that you’re not a POS, you need to do things to collect that evidence. That’s a possible theory from me
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 07:30 PM

It’s not a moral thing, it’s a risk aversion thing
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 07:24 PM

Inappropriate reaction to rejection from a woman will spread between all the women that person knows. Name calling, anger, threats will be told as gossip to everyone (with photos) and then girl code dictates permanent defriending of offending dude. Has happened to some guys I liked but were socially clueless and I’m then now not able to invite them to things
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 07:14 PM
2

I don’t know if they call it misogynistic? More like cringe. Mostly because people accidentally start making themselves ugly at a point with too much cosmetic work/plastic surgery. Women do it too with crazy lips etc and get same backlash

I so agree with this. I guess people who are centrist/balanced on these issues aren’t motivated to join the convos. Also scared as hell of hardcore people on both sides. Women also peer pressure each other like crazy to conform to the current take. Like seriously many women think things like ‘the bear’ are dumb as hell

I wonder if it was inevitable just because it was good for the economy in the short to medium term. To have more productivity and spending power in the economy. I don’t think things happen in the world just to be virtuous, those reasons are just the justifications for things. I think feminism is good btw if my comment is vague

I’m grateful for the good parts like people being open to meeting me for example. But the ‘eyes’ watching is so true, I hate feeling watched and I always know when I am watched. I see that my husband doesn’t notice other people in public, whereas I’m always subconsciously aware by default if they are watching and listening to me so I act very differently in public. I will avoid things that draw more interest. Maybe this is not all women and an anxiety thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 10:11 PM

Women these days are retinol, sunscreen and Botox obsessed and looking younger for longer… so the opposite of your point? The sport of trying to look young is a full time job for some older women
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 10:00 PM
1

Yea I wouldn’t do it to a bride, but as a bride, eventually the point is family/friends relationships will last longer so try to let go. Weddings might make people do crazy stuff, sadly lol. Don’t react in the heat of it personally or assume the worst intentions from others

Police as people tend to need to make these kind of connections/generalisations to be good at their jobs. Like have an instinct for it. But the mandatory reporting is where it comes undone by getting police involved. They are in combative brain not care brain but want to feel useful. IMO. I really don’t think these Aussie police guys were caring about the stats either

I will admit this is really a bad look. If this whole scheme could actually reduce harm more thought should have gone into reducing discrimination. IE women with suicidal ideation should be under same scrutiny, and watched for their risk to cause harm to their own partners and children. But it’s a disincentive to come forward so I don’t think it’s healthy for society
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 07:06 PM

Many women actually spend a lot of energy concealing themselves to make others feel more comfortable. Dressing up might be a rarer moment of fun for some women, modern women are wearing oversized clothes plenty too. No one wears heels these days. Maybe they just think fuck it every once in a while. Personally I don’t feel comfortable wearing makeup day to day, will get a taxi if I’m dressed up instead of public transport. It’s not as simple as women ‘baiting’ men, sometimes looking pretty is jus…

I was feeling weird about why me and my friends consumed the romance genres we did and I found a thread where everyone roasted the shit out of women for it. It was kind of fun to read peoples honest takes without as many politeness filters though I know obviously people do say things here in bad faith. I didn’t know nearly any terminology for this stuff before encountering the sub, some of the stuff is brain rot I think but there can be some diamonds in the rough

One on one intimate relationships can require give and take and it feels easier to have expectations about what will happen next, that might result in someone who is more dominant. But the day to day lived experience is very dynamic and role switching can also be fun. Stepping up can be good for some people but the pills distort this stuff into a cookie cutter caricature. I also think it’s necessary to know when to break expectations and roles, ignoring gender lines

Closing my eyes in my dream helps me wake myself up maybe you can try that

I always judged my female friends who use it as some strange test, but if you are willing to give up on someone based on this issue you probably don’t like them enough to continue seeing anyways. That’s my gender neutral take on this
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 08:25 AM

I can’t remember who paid on all my previous dates but I always did offer by default for all social outings. Are you guys potentially overthinking this instead of actually going on dates please be honest

It just didn’t come up in conversation idk what to say

/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 07:17 AM

That’s crazy I love that. For me a recurring dream lady taught me how to stop a dream and wake myself up when I was younger and with that skill I guess I just had a good intuition when I was in real life vs dream life

I’m too pragmatic personally to care about oppression, I care about suffering. I tend to not personally care that much about assigning blame for things and like to focus on treatment for problems. But I know there needs to be people out there that need to think about it. I don’t connect with a lot of the discourse personally

I think out of the context of mutual desire both genders find each others sexuality disgusting
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 09:32 PM

Some of my single friends read stupidly high volumes of erotic smut to the level of addictions. They are using it to replace something. I wonder if the women you interact with are likely to tell you about these habits. Book sales are stupidly high for these books. ‘Women seem unable to find erotic novels and sex toys satisfying onto themselves’ is just wrong IMO. I think more women are on the asexuality spectrum but painting that as ‘women’ is wrong. Sex toys - most women I speak to are competen…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 09:20 PM

I do hope you guys find happiness in whatever way that you can, sorry that you were dealt a hard hand in life honestly. Being bullied is shit on top of being cut away from love and I see that. Yea this seems performative I know, real advice is maybe existential/spiritual introspection
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 08:32 AM

I agree with the testing theory somewhat. I also think I have an intuition that the truth will confuse you more and won’t quite land how it should with men. I’ve realised your sexuality is so different in lots of ways
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 07:50 AM
1

Yea it wasn’t an apples to apples comparison. It was just was an example of conflicted feelings and relevant to me in my stage of my relationship so fresh in mind lol. I guess it’s hard for me to fully understand it though I definitely can’t fully understand a man’s POV for these things really.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 07:44 AM
2

I agree with your take
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:41 AM

Maybe start with social groups that are ‘at your level’ like you are a big fish in a smaller pond maybe? Pay close attention to the ‘misbehaviours’ of others and learn from them, since people are unlikely to tell you about your own misbehaviours. Confide in someone in your group who can honestly call you out on stuff
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 01:43 AM

Truee. I have a theory that the kind of people that can handle it are people that were forced to build different world views from their parents or key figures. You can still accept someone that is motivated differently to you.

I feel like I am a women escaped from those subs (not literally), I would likely have given somewhat similar advice - the subtext is she is looking for ‘soulmate’, that’s the assumption when I chat with girlfriends. Soulmate doesn’t make you feel unsure if they like you. So if she’s even posting this at all people can basically say ‘drop him’. I mean if the name of the game is avoiding fuck boys they are entitled to be a bit ruthless
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/26 10:51 AM

The ideal man is obviously not easy to pin down, but you could find him in all the romance novels women are obsessed with if you are really that lost. I mean cutesy romances like off campus not disturbed dark romances. Also, you guys suffer from Madonna whore complex, we have our own conflicting feelings that we contend with. Some things that might feel good erotically feel bad in others ways and vice versa. Sorry no simple answers to these things

This is the stuff of think pieces that want clicks. Have you met women IRL who say this? The majority of my friend group is couples with pretty decent incomes and I have never seen this come up. They work equally hard so there is a sacrifice on both sides. I’d say coupling happens on class levels so you need to know the correct behaviour for the class level you want to date in. To be blunt. The richest people I know want most social proof that someone is not with them for money. So if possible t…

Me and my husband definitely enjoy rage baiting each other with like with a glint in our eye hoping each other takes the bait and we laugh after. But yea saying no is important for real things that would otherwise cause resentment.

Or the other way around. Chicken or the egg can’t really tell imo
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 08:16 PM

I agree with this. I mean the seller is somewhat important but not as important as the fact the woman has already decided she is in the market for a car independently. I don’t believe people are having hookups as complete spur of the moment passions because they are overwhelmed by lust by hot men or something.

I agree with you. Most men’s social anxiety might even be worse deep down I think. But can men bootstrap their way around it? I don’t know. Women just won’t reciprocate. But women can overcome it in the current market. If they pluck up the courage. So it is a way to fix the problem imo if we think of ways to help it.

Yea I think you’re not wrong. B is great. I guess for me I love a little spicy debate umm you could say so it’s not like A hasn’t ever happened for us. And I have tried to make it clear I love to hear his point of view.

Good on you for realising what you needed. The immaturity on both sides is amazing. It’s the worst sides of both parties. I think deescalation requires thoughtfulness on both sides. Anger is a protection, in this case for shame and insecurity so they are the place to work from I think. I think I’m revealing that side of the coin for some women so it can be seen for what it is. For me, I have been rewarded to some extent in my life for showing vulnerability. Men haven’t so when they come on here …
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 11:30 AM

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. Thinking about how I was able to overcome anxiety gives me the perspective to see how ‘easily’ this side of the problem can be addressed. Through strategies and good social opportunities. I have also thought a lot about men’s underdeveloped emotional safety. I feel that just as many boys/men have the same anxiety problem. But I guess the point of addressing women in this post is that with the current grid lock women may have to overcome it first. Since lots of me…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 10:16 AM

Yea maybe. Do you think the ‘avoiding’ group is growing though? While the jaded group has always been there so they are not really causing any shift in dynamics
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 09:36 AM

Well stats would say plenty of younger people are. Not sure how old you are. I also just felt it hasn’t been examined much from this angle. I don’t see myself as having social anxiety any more. <image>
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 09:06 AM

So then they end up giving up before they even try to go after the % they do like. Because they assume they couldn’t be with them and yea sometimes they are right to be fair. I think my friend is very pretty so I think why not try.

Social media is an amazing void filler. Slight off topic but I think that’s why people drink less too. Drinking sucks but it’s social lubricant and can give people liquid courage for this kind of thing.

Yea most people I know IRL don’t really say ‘decentering men’, I’ve heard it once or twice maybe. People talk about it online like it’s a given. The tik tok girls I’ve followed for years for holiday, fashion tips etc won’t stop talking about it. I was genuinely born anxious I swear to god, I was like a shy scared 4 year old. Some people I think can be born that way. Not always trauma. But I’m lucky I had really good emotional care and learnt great coping so my comfort zone basically ended up big…

Girl I feel for you ❤️ I think men on this sub misunderstand when women say they want safe men. Some women want bad boys but shy girls might want safe boys okay
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 08:01 AM

I have a lot of respect for you for trying and then for you it makes perfect sense to actually ‘decentre men’/not pursue that. Hope you find happiness
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 07:57 AM
1

Yea I did suggest therapy. Yea decentering men is healthy in terms of having an internalised self worth. So I agree she should build that. She said depressed in a joking way for context but obviously there can be truth behind jokes. But I think for her that mindset can possibly be used as a convenient excuse to shelter herself?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 07:54 AM

I guess I would ask how do you know you aren’t good enough? Have you put yourself out there? You are confident in the thought but do you have any evidence for it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 07:43 AM
4

You are so right. Hope she never sees this because it is a complete roast but she is super lazy also. Lots of difficult work tasks involve getting out of your comfort zone and she never wants to do them.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 07:37 AM

Yea comfort zone expands little by little but it can stagnate.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 07:33 AM
5

I would think they were succeeding at decentreing men if they weren’t saying it on repeat every day again and again. And then conveniently dropping it if they find a man. I think it’s okay to admit to yourself you want something. Ignoring her desires isn’t going to help her. My advice to her was: go try and get it properly and then if it fails make peace with it. But living with regret having never tried doing something that you hope to do is just defeatist.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 07:32 AM
6

I think plenty don’t want relationships. I have go getter friends that are super confident and could easily go get it if they really wanted. But a girl like my coworker is held back not only in her dating life I see but also just things like answering a phone call at work. I truly think in her case anxiety is holding her back. I’m pretty sure stats also say anxiety is rapidly rising in younger people.

About uni age I would have casual sex every now and again. Only ever organic meets at a party/event/clubs and only people similar age and background. But I was quite social so I would travel to my friends unis and hang with their groups and when I did that I was way more emboldened because I had much less chance of running into people again. It was always one night only and I wouldn’t share contact details with them after even if they asked. Apps I couldn’t easily guarantee chemistry so would on…

Get yourself in mixed gender group social settings as much as possible to practice being social and realising it can be fun. If it’s not fun find a different group. Rather than always doing one on one socialisation. Try to get over fear of failure/embarrassment. If I embarrass myself I just try to feel better that I boosted someone’s ego today. Rather than thinking about how you can be accepted by others think about how you can make others feel accepted.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/26 09:29 PM

I guess the best approach I arrived on is just dipping the second I don’t like how things are starting to go. Even in marriage making it clear I won’t tolerate bullshit and trusting myself that I could leave. I don’t have kids though and that would make things harder for sure. People can trick you sometimes but I believe in the ‘fool me once’ saying

You know a cake is poison, you don’t know how poison it is by looking at it but it tastes sweet so it’s up to you to eat it. But you know it is. Many poison cakes in life, like taking money from certain people and sometimes they are worth it.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 01:42 AM

One sided love isn’t healthy. Women can be dickmatised into accepting bad treatment and bad men. I preferred one night stands personally because I am a catching feels kinda person. But I have friends who are not so don’t fret I’m sure you will find some women out there if you want no strings attached long term.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 11:47 PM

My friend let me explain. After good sexy times many women ‘catch feels’ and want to take it to the next level. Basically infatuation, it’s an emotional roller coaster where now you have none of the power. Maybe drip feeding of hook ups, maybe some tears, hell no from me.

Well I got gifted a barbie wedding CD disc game when I was a kid and it imprinted on me. More seriously I think women who want to be mothers see it as a prerequisite. What better way to send off your bachelorette life with the prettiest dress you’ll ever wear and photos of probably the hottest you will ever look again. Then when you are a mum you can reminiscence on better days lol.

I think most women know it’s rage bait. It was fun rage bait too but for me the rage hit me for another reason actually. The modern nice guy wouldn’t be able to umm ‘do what is needed’ to himself or me if the situation required was what raged me personally. The guy being a pussy seemed the worst part by far idk
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 07:24 PM

Reminder: attraction isn’t kind. Talk to good friends if you want kindness. I would want this honesty with a long term partner, if I ask for the honesty I’m trying to get to know them. Some women are attracted to men with ‘secure’ attachment styles, they make good partners. There heads aren’t swimming with insecurity and resentments about the world. To be fair neither is mine and I want a partner not a coaching project. I found a very secure kind of man and we still emotionally counsel each othe…

I think they can certainly work but you need social intelligence. I remember the first time a guy ‘negged’ me. He made me feel so bad I wanted to cry. Yea I definitely didn’t go out with him. I asked him why he said it and later admitted he was negging. I’ve accidentally ‘negged’ men, when I called them out on shit and wasn’t that into them. Then suddenly the simping began. The truth is if they are the right person for you none of this shit should matter. The goal is not to pretend not to care, …

Some men (masculine leaning men) can be so obsessed with ‘leveling up’ that they can be blind to the parts of life that are better when you do less. Like making less money could mean more time with friends. Less levelling up in a video game could be more time for self reflection. Also the arena they choose to level up in could just be bad for them. My husband is super competitive and I feel my job is helping him realise it sometimes.

That guy that got offended is just a bad person to date, I guess on the bright side it let you see his true colours early on. So you could avoid a guy like your ex and sounds like you did.

I think for hookups I was just following what seems most fun in the moment. For me they have to be good at conversation too because to even get to that point we have probably talked a bit. Usually some things they have said have impressed me and I like the way they look. Now about personal safety, only once did I wonder if I was in over my head. But the guy was a gentleman at least and I trusted his vibe enough.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 03:56 AM

My husband is not red pilled but he is AI pilled. Maybe you guys should look into that. It’s a profitable skill set atm
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 03:32 AM

It’s a bad feedback loop for you though. You end up worse off in my opinion. The dying out of binge drinking culture is another huggge part of it for young people I think. Young people are acting like boring old people. I’m boring now so that’s chill idk
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 12:51 AM

I have to clarify. When I ‘played hard to get’ with a hot guy he knew I was down bad, he just didn’t know how down I really was. This situation is not relevant for most guys here. The sexual liberation allowed me to have guilt free casual sex with mediocre men and view myself as a ‘party girl’ not a ‘slut’. These guys were less attractive than the hot guys. I would be embarrassed if anyone found out I slept with them. But it seemed fun. Party girl culture is dying for many reasons though this is…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 12:02 AM

You underestimate me LOL. The playing hard to get is only when it comes to sex FYI. You don’t have to agree with me. Plenty of women probably act in alignment with how all you guys think. But some sluts are also possibly sad rn with all the purity culture comeback so think of them please
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 10:06 PM

It doesn’t make sense because it’s dishonest. The guys I found hottest I really thought about playing hard to get. Personally I had one night stands with some uglier guys that I would never date. Everyone was pro sluts at that time and I was bored and they were there. Obviously this is just me, I could be an outlier, but I guess there could be more of me
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 09:55 PM

If you get rid of slut shaming this would happen less imo. Women don’t want a guy they like to think they are a slut even if they are a slut and do want it on the first date with them. Feminism is pro sluts and you guys really fumbled that part of it in the past few years

Sure, it’s a privilege/responsibility/burden to have the chance to choose and possibly do it wrongly. Some men are assholes. Idk no woman is consciously thinking what I said but it’s more just a gut reaction to be positive to people that are attractive in what they say and angry reactive to people that say stuff that sounds annoying. I’m just trying to address that punch behind women’s reactions that is deeper on many of these similar posts. I’m not convinced that the level of anger matches the …

I realise that last bit did sound harsh. If someone opened up to me I’d never say anything like that to them. But if I had a guy friend complaining I might tease him about it to hint that it’s not the right way to go about it to get what he wants. I don’t like the harsh truths either, but this sub isn’t really a safe space. Lots of people here struggle socially and might need the truths spelled out plainly.

I have taken your guys words for it that is harder for men and dating app stats are quite convincing. I believe you. Why do women push back? My instinct is this narrative is a turn off for straight women. Because when they do get picked they want to feel ‘special’ like the guy had lots of options. So they discourage men from the narrative I think. They are trying to course correct men from being desperate and unattractive. I guess by getting these guys to ‘shut up’ about these issues in a real l…

Let’s just suspend my disbelief of comphet. If it is real, isn’t playing into it going to potentially give you a more meaningful and deeper life with a partner? Family if you want that? Or at least ‘getting laid’ if you do actually desire women that way?

Stay at home wife doesn’t have kids or kids are grown up. It’s only a thing for rich people nowadays. Back in the day it was a thing more. Like teachers had to quit working after marriage even if they didn’t have kids. I mean some people might use it interchangeably now

The lack of face to face time doesn’t hurt men’s attraction to women but it does for women being attracted to men. Familiarity is very important for women’s attraction in my opinion. Also body language/speech is a huge part of it for women

I do think part of the problem stems from men pedelstaling women. I think you guys had good mothers and expect unconditional love low key. I think women do know how to present them selves as morally superior. But women know how cruel women can be.

/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/26 09:14 PM

I disagree, I also think I have an unconventional explanation for how birth rates and loneliness are connected. I think a lot of women are realising how unattractive motherhood is and therefore their motivation to enter the dating market is plummeting. I feel like men underestimate how much women date for a potential father of their kids and how strong baby fever can be. I’m so scared to say this because the ‘women are not into men’ guys are watching us from behind a bush somewhere. Why is mothe…

Are you for real. Governments aren’t that well off bro. So people who can’t afford medicine and healthcare are bumped so you can get laid. I think you might be intimidated by women and their emotional confidence. Women usually have ‘the power’ (skill, practice) to express vulnerability and maybe you feel out of depth when required to match that energy. The point of vulnerability is giving up power and potentially embarrassing yourself in the moment. I’m reading between the lines of your post but these things take practice. It’s okay to not be the ‘best’ at ‘soft skills’ aka being emotionally open. The only way out is through
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 09:17 PM

The logistics of post nut clarity get confusing with multiple orgasms so I have my pre first orgasm turn ons and then follow up orgasm turn ons which are different. I wish I was kidding but sadly not since I need to think of original material quickly

/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/26 08:18 PM

Hmm I guess there’s many potential versions of this hypothetical. It’s interesting everyone interpreted through the relationship lens, I was also thinking about being sad for men in my family/world, future son/s, men in general that they lack self esteem and a vibrant social life. I guess it would cause a weird asymmetry in society. On top of that of course my own sadness at not having an equal and thriving relationship.

I don’t disagree but I thought a lesson most people learn quite young is that life isn’t fair. Whining doesn’t change it. Crying victim is no better than the left wing these right wing guys claim to oppose.

You have just explained something that resonates with me, I really pity these guys. It does feel very unproductive for them though. It’s so annoying that men on this sub assume women aren’t straight because they personally haven’t been desired. Me and my straight friends will watch tv shows just for glimpses of the attractive male characters. I’m crazy about my husband. I crush on men in the street. I was raised in a different environment and I would say I have a very equitable relationship currently. It’s also hard to quantify a perfectly fair relationship, like you might do less but be more frugal than your partner or maybe you moved to where your partner lives for their career/to be near their family. If you are currently single then maybe all this worrying about how equitable your future relationship will be is putting the cart before the horse? Also hate to say it but (My gender) does …

Addressing the point of the ‘work’ demanded of men in relationships. Are you in a couple/are your friends? Do you see an unfair division of labour? What about your parents growing up? I can’t see these self sacrificing behaviours in my own father that’s for sure. ‘Society does not value niceness’ okay but society/women do value it in friendships, workplaces, most areas of life. But it’s not that valuable in getting someone to go to bed with you, maybe a little bit. Was society in the 2000’s etc really teaching anyone that to get a gf all you need is to be nice? When did society say this? Why are guys so shocked that looks come into it that they had to create red pill to shatter this world view and see that women are a bit superficial in sex (like men als…

Playing hard to get is classic and old dating advice, in can be used by both genders. Think women’s magazines not that long ago ‘how long to wait to text a guy back’. It does work, it’s always been cringe and it’s so interesting how the story about why it work changes ‘women like a slow burn’ ‘men like a chase’ but I think it’s just that desperation is very unsexy

I get what you mean but I just think you’re oversimplifying the value men can provide women. The main post lists value add ideas for men: ‘commitment, experiences, stability, attractiveness, or some mix of those things’. If I’m honest with you, if a guy is failing at providing those other value adds then yes I will want him to pay the dinner bill. Like hypothetically no commitment sex might come with less happiness for me so then we resort to money type value.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 08:39 PM

I guess women have more default potential value but I would say much more to lose though. Like if you have mastitis, postpartum depression and everything hurts down their you will be wishing you chose a guy that can fill your water. As a women you have to become vulnerable for this potential value to be realised (eg sex)

Complimenting them. Going with them to do activities that only the gal is obviously interested in. I’m confused if you’re assuming women select men for their possessions specifically? These days women bring their own possessions and money to relationships. For me I was looking for a reliable and competent human who is loving and for me also potentially the ability to be a father. Some people trade their ‘tangible value’ for physical possessions in relationships, but we normally call them sex workers..

You’re not gaining points with women (especially those with low body counts) by saying this stuff. Is your need for people who care about you and see you exclusive to romantic relationships? Some of these things are hard to achieve in the dating world especially on apps and first dates etc but a friend can do some of these things if dating isn’t really working out for you.
