1	My (22f) bf's (21m) hobby is causing a strain We've been together for 6 months Anything under a year isn't even a relationship, unless you dated for a year beforehand and he promoted you to LTR/relationship phase. Not to mention you were doing an LDR, which does not work by the way. Move on and date other men. Take some extra time (i.e. a year or so) to even see if you want a relationship with a guy. 3	Vetting vs Testing The way I have always seen vetting (for me) is that it's a period during the dating phase before you even get into a relationship with a man; including, if you are looking at potential marriage material down the road. For example, if you are dating a guy for a handful of months/a year, you are taking the time to see whether or not he would be compatible with your needs & wants for a relationship.
