Idk I think it depends on the person. You can either go hard or phone it in as either a SAHM or a salaried worker. Coasting on a career though can get you suddenly fired though due to HR and office politics while if you're slacking as a mom too much you'll start to see the signs with plenty of warning since it's more of an "organic" job for lack of a better way to put it.

I mean that's nice and all but not all household finances are split that way...

Because it costs money and if they both work, then the woman is effectively paying for someone to do the man's share of the housework (yardwork) but she still has to fuck him and do 100% of her share of the housework as well (unless they agreed to get a maid/cook). For some reason, it's more acceptable for a man to outsource his housework via plumbers, electricians, lawnmowers than it is for a woman to hire a cook or a cleaner.

They're probably assuming that you're going to maintain the current level of effort though.

Women lie about the past, men lie about the future. Women: "yeah I only had sex with x guys!" (later it turns out that blowies, anal, petting, etc don't count as sex) Men: "after this and this milestone, we'll get married!" Then the date gets pushed off until forever or you get the "why do you even want to get married, it's so unnecessary!" copout.

As a woman who was in this "almost rape" situation not too long ago, the thought process is more: you're more likely to get out of there unscathed if you go the gentle/indirect route. It seems counter-intuitive explaining it, but in the heat of the moment, it's instinctual/natural. Rejection is hard for men, especially after he's spent $400 on you, he believes he has a perfect gym bod, and you know his buddies/roommates are waiting around outside to ask how sex went with you. The stakes are high…

Yep. Unless he has Chad level looks/confidence, he's going to subconsciously assume that the woman has and would say "we should fuck" to 100s of guys before/after him.

I don't have any empathy. It's like saying that I'm not only frustrated that I don't have a new BMW to drive and have to take the bus, but that once I get said BMW, I am socially expected to stick with it for a long while and not buy another new car next week because I feel like trying a Lexus now. It's wasteful, selfish, and prevents other people from buying their own cars.

Nah, we want men who somehow have lumberjack bodies but with the passion of an artist and the job security/paycheck of a broker. Not that much to ask for! ;) Kinda like how men often want women with porn star bodies, movie star faces, but with small town chastity and humility.

Yeah but if the goal is quantity, then those one-offs 6's shouldn't set the standard. Average dudes usually have LTR with slightly above-average SMV women. Their commitment is their commodity.

A woman takes her body and womb with her when she leaves a relationship. Her body and womb are depreciating assets, and she is also out on time (which is at a higher premium than a man's). If she has a child, then that's a huge handicap for securing future provisioning. The time she'd need to take off work to have and raise the child also hurt her ability to acquire provisioning for herself. A woman who falls in love too easily is not evolutionarily fit for survival. We protect ourselves with lo…

This male overvaluing of infatuation is probably a big part of why men will often ditch women after a few months or years, as soon as things get a little too "realistic". It doesn't matter what you call it - love, lust, infatuation, oneitis. The point is that it's obsessive, but fleeting, and it's certainly not what should be considered mature or aspirational. Women's love is more of a slow burn, but it's stable and lasting. I think I'd prefer a man to love me the way a woman loves a man, but al…

I think they just pick a different set of traits altogether. It's not more or less picky, but a completely different set of rules.

It does change men though. It makes them lazy, short-sighted, and complacent. This can be seen with all the issues we hear about where a man in an LTR refuses to wife up his gf. Even if he'll realistically never fly out to Thailand, just the idea that he might have an opportunity to maximize his male sexual strategy ad infinitum is enough of a deterrent. Porn has similar and probably wider effects, since it's free/accessible.

Right?? I feel like I'm really out of the loop and missed a big memo because of this thread. Whatever happened to TRP touting about how men should be selective because it means they're the prize and all that?

But the only reason a lot of women are fucking around is because they've been taught that having casual sex is the only way a man would even consider LTR. A woman's N is bound to go up, given the current trend, but the damage and heartbreak along the way contributes to failing marriages.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/17 11:08 PM

Yes, I don't think anything good has come of internet porn. Sex has been made artificially abundant beyond natural levels that would be seen even in caveman days thanks to the pill, porn and social media. It's making men ridiculously lazy and unmotivated imo. I don't think it's coincidence that most human progress has been made in the centuries where monogamous marriage was enforced as the only acceptable way to have sex.

People turn to addictive drugs for any number of reasons, namely as a coping mechanism for emotional and/or physical pain. I've seen what it does. It's not kind to the body.

There's a saying that goes: Men look for sex and find love. Women look for love and find sex. Men are actually kinda lucky that they can just openly seek out something so self indulgent and fleeting and most times will wind up with a loving family, a legacy, and loads of memories because a woman was able to "tame" him and use his shallow desires to produce something good and long-lasting. Imagine how much happier they'd be if they realized this sooner.

Heroin may make addicts "happy", but it's not healthy for them or society in the long run.

Perhaps hated is not the right word... Maybe more feared and concerned. A lot of what I just consider normal girly, playful behaviour from Stacey seems totally calculated and bitchy by women Oh yes lol. You would have no idea if you watched a group of women interact with a Stacy unless you knew what to look for. Even her bffs. It looks like all smiles and rainbows until they all go home and seethe about it. If they're friends, they'll start texting each other gossip about "did you see how she sa…

They might not care, but that's not why women do it. They do it to get a leg up over other women and discourage them from trying to compete with her. It's hard to explain, but women tend to love having this idea of their intrinsic worth - they're special, loved and wonderful just because! It's why the princess stuff is still so popular among adult women.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/17 11:11 PM

Which is why there's this huge undercurrent in female intrasexual interaction of "not trying." Never compliment yourself, never complain about your issues, never open up (unless it's to reinforce a key cool girl attribute like ~not understanding other girls~).

Amazing, interesting people exist (just like women know a few Zooeys) but it's the idea of glorifying them like a kind of demigod who was always existed just as they are that's an unhealthy trap imo. It's very limiting to have the attitude that any SO you start dating will automatically wish you were Chad/Zooey and not yourself. It's like a self-fulfilling prophecy.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/17 08:33 PM

I think you're onto something. Though I think women are most concerned with a woman who has multiple sluts in her, since variety/polygyny is the spice of male sexuality, and what all women fight against. This is where the "Cool Girl" ideal comes in, with all the opposing yet desirable traits existing in a single woman. A woman with multiple "faces" becomes a demi-goddess and is both revered and hated by other women, for she is likely to take home the full provisioning package from multiple men, …

Yes, that's who I was thinking of. I thought it's a more modern update to Stacy (who is named Stacy in 2017?). Or maybe a different archetype altogether? Stacy = dumbed down tanned blonde with big boobs. The stereotypical 90s high school movie cheerleader Zooey = just as hot as Stacy, but with nerd glasses and instead of dumbing herself down, quirks herself up. The main thing she has over Stacy is that she plays the "good girl" more believably.

My close friend of 10 years was a Chad. 6'4", lean muscles, conventionally attractive face, 6 fig salary, decent dick size, N probably near the triple digits by now, always has girls pining for him, funny personality. That said, I never went for him for anything more than a few hookups (with no PIV). I turned a few female friends towards him too. In fact, you confirm this line of reasoning yourself when you say: "If he's all about taking her for her word (isn't TRP about looking at women's actions anyway?), *he should take her for her most recent word." I'm not saying that you should be blind to a person's past. But there's a difference between going, "oh you cheated on your past partner? I'm out!" and looking at the person's decisions in the context that they were made (were they in an abusive relationship? were they going through other issues?). This is something that institutions don't do unless it's through a lengthy appeals process that automatically puts the person on the defensive. It's often not people that's the problem. It's situation…

Pushing boundaries is part of growing up to a certain degree, but I dislike this reasoning in and of itself because it dismisses personal accountability and responsibility entirely. I see what you're saying, but I think it's not helpful to look at morality and maturity within a vacuum when judging people for their past actions. This is arguably part of the reason RPW even exists. We live in a society where hooking up and casual sex are encouraged and viewed as perfectly normal. Women are activel…

I understand the logic behind the issue, but there's a more compassionate element there to understand that people change, grow up, and they don't always want to do the things they used to do. I mean, I used to blow $400 on stupid collectible dolls when I had my crappy part-time college job. Yes, it was fun, but would I be so reckless with my money now? some people just wanna live a feminine lifestyle. This is like saying the TRP just want to live a masculine lifestyle, when it goes much deeper than that. There's plenty of resources on lifting/cooking for self-improvement. Lots of women stay at home or wear dresses, but they don't feel the need to identify themselves through it as though it makes them a different and better person. I used to read posts there, and they did have a good insight here and there. But the impression I got was that /r/RPW posters are frumpy phony tryhards who have to consciously adopt this cookie cutter caricature of a stereotypical femme. I think your answer to this depends on how much you care about what random person X thinks about you. A lot of people need to feel needed by "society" (aka, the loudest voices) or they're not validated. I think your opinions on work ethic also play a role in your relationship with femininity. Why is it then up to me (the man, funny enough) to try to figure out what that is? Cause you're the one with the problem (not enough sex). It's not the woman's job to be a mind-reader and it's pretty much common knowledge in all areas of life that if you have a problem with something, it's up to you to fix it. This is especially true for the libertarian-leaning TRPers, so I don't get why this is baffling when it comes to sex in a relationship. Besides, aren't men supposed to be the "natural lead…

If this isn't abuse, dread game is not abuse. So what's the solution. Should the wife volunteer-rape herself by forcing herself to have sex when she doesn't want to? Not having sex because you don't want to isn't abuse no matter how you spin it. If dread game entails fixing why she might not be attracted to you anymore (eg, working out, eating right, helping at home, not bringing adversarial TRP attitudes into the marriage, etc), then that's not abuse. You cannot withhold any sort of affection because no one is entitled to it. Yes, and you cannot withhold a relationship from someone either, but if you want one, then it's up to you to communicate and work on why sex isn't happening. a man should not be faulted for having an expectation of sex in a marriage And vice versa. A woman should not be faulted for having an expectation that there will be times when sex is not important, unless there had been a previous agreement.

efusing sex with your partner is the same as withholding any other type of affection No, it's really not. I believe most people intuitively see these things as operating on an intimacy stack, and sex is at the tail end of it as the ultimate display of affection and emotional support. A spouse who doesn't want to listen to the other's problems shouldn't be surprised when they aren't being pursued/accepted sexually. Do the men in these situations think that if she sighs at one out of every five mating attempts and lays on her back for 20 minutes that this will fix the issue? And believe me, this does come up quite often for me, especially with women I have just met and might "crush" on a bit. How does your wife feel about being a perpetual resource-cuckold? If you re-write your comment from the perspective of a woman wanting to surround herself with "power" (alphas) and continuously has to talk herself out of giving these men her sexual attention, you'd see a very familiar RedPill complaint about hypergamy and AF/BB.

Ideally, women aim to get AF/BB in the same man. It's only the women whose SMV is not high enough to secure such a man that may end up using the dual strategy in 2+ men. I guess they are connected then, but not in the way that you mentioned. Self control is something humans are supposed to have and want to improve on. If TRPers honestly believe that the only way to "get sex" is by playing manipulative games and lying to people, they need to develop the self control to not go after sex at all. That's the defining characteristic of a sociopath. They claim to not let their desire for sex control their actions by acting beta, but they let it control their moral comp…

I didn't connect them, you did. The only connection is that TRPers lack both. That's like if I said I had apples and coffee for breakfast, and someone tried to connect apples with coffee like they are somehow intrinsically related to each other.

So based on these comments, we've learned that some TRPers have zero sense of moral agency, justified by basically Darwinism/"getting results". And yet one of the few ways mankind is supposed to be above animal nature includes self-control and a sense of morality, not to mention a capacity for love. I'll let you draw your own conclusion from that.

Leftism usually involves a lot of empathy and emotions in general, so it's not surprising women feel more attraction to these. There's a lot of focus on what things "should be" in the absence of human nature, and I think that kind of selfless idealism is what's hot. However, because it's selfless, you need to already be in a position of strength (social proof, financially secure, etc) in order to fight for a cause bigger than yourself. Rightism as it stands in the West is more about making thing…

I've heard several accounts from women who prefer male gynecologists because their experiences tell them that they tend to be less biased since they don't have their own female reproductive system to use as a basis for diagnosing/treating everyone else's. The common issue being that the patient will complain about painful periods, and the female gynecologist would essentially tell her that it's not that bad because hers are not that bad, when in reality, the patient could have endometriosis or j…

They need to control for the sex of the person in the HR department. From what I hear, most HR people are women, so they're probably going to be less sympathetic because, "I had to go through with it too, you're not the only working woman with kids." It's a big part of why FGM still happens in Western countries, and why you often hear about problems with solipsistic female gynecologists.

I know, it was like watching a train wreck. Alyssa tried everything she could, including being willing to go through with the threesome even though she didn't want to do it. She really loved him and it was so heartbreaking that he chose his insecurities over her.

But they and everybody else watching is smoking CRACK if they think their attempt at long term monogamy has got any legs You keep claiming this and then continue to make circular arguments and the exact same baseless assertion. I've even tried to talk you through, multiple times, that it's not about the (lack of) experience, but both peoples' perceptions and attitudes towards said experience. You just ignored all of that and continued to repeat what you first said at square one. I am done spendi…

From what I gather about her character from other Kevin Smith movies though, she definitely got around from as early as the Mall Rats movie. Oh that's interesting, I didn't know it was part of a series. Also what I'm getting from you, again, is a lack of empathy for the male in the equation. The thing is, I do empathize with the male. I know what it's like to feel insecure and shitty about yourself because you might not measure up to a person's past experiences or future expectations. But you're…

What do you see as the tools a guy would need in order to understand, cope, and deal with someone's sexual history? What are the tools anyone needs in order to understand, cope, and deal with anything with another person? Empathy, humility, security, and clarity. Oh boy, looks like those are some of the major elements of a healthy relationship.

You're basically defending the experienced woman's right to not have a plan A plan for what? if you're a woman who's been with a lot of partners, your monogamous LTR successes are 95% limited to men who've also been with a lot of partners Why?

How does someone pretend that something is unacceptable to them? Does the woman actually state that she has never done it, or does she just decline and continues to not behave like a stereotypical party slut or coked up streetwalker, which the man then interprets as her "acting pure"? Because I'm sensing a lot of madonna/whore complex issues by using divisive language like "pure" and "wild".

Are you actually going to answer my question or are you just going to pick apart technicalities because I don't magically know what the issue is?

Inexperienced guys just plain don't have the tools to understand, cope, or deal with an experienced woman's past. Why not? Empathy isn't found only in shared experiences. And if she's resolved any issues/baggage she had from the past experiences (which everyone should prior to starting a new relationship), I don't see what there is to "deal with."

I think it's shortsighted, inane, and cold for a well-experienced woman to attempt monogamy with a guy who's had little experience. Why?

They both are undesirable for different reasons. One is a concern because they were able to have sex and not attach. You want someone who gets attached and bonds through sex. Another is a concern because they got attached. You want someone to get attached, but to you only. Or at least, to you more than anyone previously. Both are a different kind of risk, but they both threaten stability.

a woman is simply to stupid to rationally choose to grow up and have a adult life in her twenties on her own I mean, that's kinda my point with the stability factor. Living on your own in the West is heavily encouraged, so everyone is forced to become independent prior to meeting someone. A single man in his 40s who can't bond emotionally with a woman close to his age signals a lot of red flags. She won't gain anything useful other than blowjob skills, but it won't be as big of a waste of time c…

Look, I'm not disagreeing that Western cultures tempt people with a "have it all, when you want it" ideal and that it can mess some people up with false expectations. I'm disagreeing with your notion that a young, attractive, stable woman will freely choose a man in his 40s out of pure love, over a man closer to her own age, even if that means having to deal with a treacherous dating world. I disagree with your idea that it's better for a young woman to have such a relationship versus giving a s…

Women in those countries cash in fast because they don't want to die and they don't want their children to die. If you look at the West with all the protections it offers women/children, you will see something closer to what women really want.

they are not capable of providing what those women would want or what men in that culture are expected to provide. Yes, exactly. The women AND men from these cultures are very giving and involved in their relationships. A lot of RPers want to exploit this (which is what they accuse Western women of doing) and just take what the women offer as wives without being the caring, providers and protecters that husbands there are expected to be in return. They also expect to just whisk her away from her…
