THIS. I was alpha widowed by a guy I was a top plate to for three years but I got over it super quickly by dropping a lot of weight, becoming more feminine, and not having sex until I was in an LTR. He sounds like the type of guy /u/JackGoldsteinWrites is talking about. My now-fiance is amazing. What I like about him much more than my ex is how he presents himself. He's much larger physically, much more confident, cares about spending quality time with me, and makes me feel comfortable and loved…

No problem! If he says yes, /r/tryingforababy is great for all the venting, laughing, and confusion that can go along with TTC :)

I just wound up telling my SO "Dear, I want to start trying for a baby and here is why: _____." It's best to try to speak as logically as possible since "they are so tiny and sweet and smell amazing and are heavenly angels" apparently isn't a great reason :) If he's a good captain who cares about your feelings he will at least hear you out and take your opinion into serious consideration while weighing the reality of your finances with his opinion as well. Another important aspect of this is SHO…

I think you did the best you could with the cards you were dealt. Your date was an awful captain and a bad date all around! Half an hour late? That's a flaky female tendency. I'd definitely try to smile and be agreeable (about the walking home thing--next time just say something like "Oh I've never taken that way, thanks for letting know!" even if it's a lie because it'll boost his confidence. I don't thinking mentioning DBZ or Hannibal was a big deal--those are your interests and you definitely…

Mine are touch and verbal affirmation. His are acts of service and gift giving. Quality time isn't a big one so much for us because we're constantly around each other in some way or are in constant communication via text.

"Guess what the man's role is--protector and provider. I'm not saying to swing at the man, there is a middle ground between starting a street fight and going 'oh gee sorry my girl got in your way we're leaving now!' Because if that guy ever sees you again he's going to know you're the type of man to be intimidated by him." This is what I already said. I'm not advocating violence at all, I'm advocating standing up for yourself and your girlfriend in an age-appropriate way.

Yeah that's sort of what I thought, too. I definitely don't know what it's like to break anyone's bones haha.

Balling up your fists and screaming in someone's face is provocation, definitely. You'll only stand up for your girlfriend when he's cocking his fist back to swing in her face? Thats not keeping you safe, that's doing nothing. We don't need our husbands to physically move us out of the way, we have legs lol. It sort of sounds like OP handled the situation better on her own if that's what you think her boyfriend should've done. Yes, the man might have a weapon on him. Guess what the man's role is…

Right? I wasn't advocating violence but it's literally blue-pill to not stand up for your girlfriend for something this big simply because you don't want to "start something."

A man physically threatens your girlfriend--that's provocation. I'd be quite upset if a man bashed into me and starting screaming that he would beat me up and the only thing my fiance did was move me to his other side.

How can you equivocate a person's manager with their biological sibling? I'd be angry if I asked my SO to stop being so affectionate to another woman and then he starts hugging her with me around.

I've got quite a few RP girls I hang out with. Mainly from church, classes, and my job in child care. For me it's pretty easy to find girls like this for some reason (like attracts like!) because they're easy to spot: usually married/engaged fairly young, sweet, and don't engage in gossip. We don't hang out or text 24/7, but I always know that if I need a wine night or a shopping buddy I can count on them for lots of laughs and great conversation. I had some blue pill friends but I don't hang ou…

From one RP woman to another, one word of advice is don't put your child in daycare. You will regret it. You miss out on crucial bonding moments with your child that will empower your femininity in a way feminists never could to be at work. If you need someone to watch your child speak with a family member or hire a good nanny. Daycares barely keep a child safe, let alone teach them anything. About the unreasonable expectations, that's a load of crap. Yes you'll be tired sometimes and yes things…

When I realized the guy I was a top plate for for three years would never be with me since he had no respect for me. Frankly, I didn't deserve much respect since I didn't respect myself. I was pretty overweight, feministy, didn't care about my appearance or my eating habits, and alternated between watching Netflix and studying. I felt awful when I made that realization but it allowed me to completely turn my life around.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
