I mean, it’s possible. But yeah if he was that tired he couldn’t follow through with plans then he deffo could’ve let me know. Total loser.

Awwwwe :,) thank you sis. You’re totally right! And normally I don’t give men the benefit of the doubt so it’s extra annoying that the one time I give a guy a chance he pulls this bullshit. Oh well, I’ve definitely learned a lesson from this :)

Ooooh yeah. I smell cap. He at least could have let you know before his phone died. The date was pretty fun and the conversation was nice but it wasn’t like amazing or out of this world.

Omg, what a dummy! I have to laugh when anyone says their phone battery ran out. I agree, these men are idiots and they can fuck off :)

That sucks big time. I feel like spending years JUST to make a girl feel bad about herself is a waste of time. Fuck that guy! He sounds like a garbage person.

Exactly :( like clearly I shouldn’t have given him a chance at all! Wish I’d known that but oh well. And yes I agree he is simply a crappy person.

Thank you for taking the time to say this! I will admit, when it happened it did make me feel like crap. My self esteem started to spiral downward and I did ask myself what I did wrong. You’re right tho!!!! It’s not about me. I did nothing wrong. There’s nothing I could’ve done differently. He’s a shitty person and would’ve been a terrible partner. Bullet dodged.

Wtf!!!! That’s insane! You’re right, literally nothing is more fragile than men’s egos. I will absofuckinlutely not give him another chance.

Thank you for saying that, and don’t worry he’s been blocked :)

This is hella embarrassing to say but: Dated an absolute loser for 4ish years. Couldn’t hold a job, had no car, had no close friends, no education. I just made excuse after excuse for him. When other CLEARLY SUPERIOR guys tried to date me I blew them off, because I wanted to stay with my boyfriend. It got to a point where I was doing absolutely everything for him. Cooking, cleaning, fucking him, paying for everything, and CONSTANTLY making him feel better about the fact that he was a giant loser…

I’m in the same situation as you. It’s definitely scary! Try and reframe your thinking - it’s not an embarrassing secret, it’s an impressive accomplishment. One of my friends lost a TON of weight and has lots of loose skin. She was terrified to date for a while but the guy she’s with now recognizes it’s a sign of all of her hard work. The right guy WILL think it’s awesome you made an effort to be healthier. I’m so sorry most men are garbage and made you feel scared :)

I’ve had plenty of these. I inform them that if they’re wanting to exchange money/dinner/gifts for sex then they should seek a prostitute, not a date 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

I have also definitely it back. I used to get home from work, take all my makeup off, shower, shave, wash my hair, DRY MY HAIR, and re do my makeup. I’ve realized that uh that is wayyyyyy too much effort, especially if I’m meeting someone for the first time. So glad I don’t waste time on all of that anymore.

GOOD FOR U SIS! I haven’t had sex in ages but you’re right, it’s not worth it. I recently got “dumped” by a guy I had been dating and I knew I would’ve felt soooo much worse about it if I had slept with him.

Very similar thing just happened to me! Absolutely don’t feel bad :) We went on a date, I thought it was fine, he was alright looking and the same height as me and I wasn’t super attracted to him. Not only did he initiate the first kiss, he asked me on a second date. I was planning on ghosting him/not seeing him again but he asked me on a second date ON THE SPOT and I said yes because it would’ve been awkward to say no to his face. We went on a second date, it was fine, whatever, he mentioned ta…

Idk if anyone else had this happen but when I googled his name this morning I swear all the headlines were something like “Rowan and his family die in a car fire” ??????? Like to make it sound like something happened to all of them?!! Not like HE BRUTALLY MURDERED HIS ENTIRE FAMILY. So upsetting.

SERIOUSLY fuck Victoria’s Secret! I’ve bought so much crap from them and literally none of it has been flattering or fit quite right. It is all super poorly made. I am gonna check out the brand you recommended! You said their Canadian, do you know if they ship to the US? :)

My only response to this is we, as women, are far more advanced than men. I felt the same as you when I was in a relationship. Men (apparently) still have caveman brains that make them want to stick it in as many women as possible.

She wants to plug her ears and ignore all of the comments, except the ones that are something like “well my current husband cheated on me 9 times while I was pregnant and actually started doing heroine again and I’m miserable now but I’m so glad I didn’t let the cheating ruin our relationship”

FIRST OF ALL, he found my insta even tho it’s not linked to my Tinder. Creepy much? SECOND OF ALL, he found my Instagram and went back literally 9 months to a pic from my graduation?! THIRD OF ALL, he’s gonna be mad I added “nevertheless she persisted” to MY graduation cap for MY college graduation? WHAT? AND FINALLY, he really REALLY thought I was gonna take that last part as a compliment? WHAT? It is literally sickening men think they can low key insult/attack us then make a suggestive comment…

Always a bad idea. I have a close friend who got married at 25 to a guy she met as a teenager. She’s absolutely miserable now. Why? Because her husband is absolutely not the same person she married. People don’t realize how much we grow and change in our twenties.

Idk if my favorite part is she described throwing leftovers in a microwave as “super nice” or the casually added part about his addiction.

SAME! It makes me wanna start screaming when I read things like “my boyfriend cheated on me/called me fat/yelled at my mom but he said sowwy :(“ like GROW UP! I have said a million times we, as women, need to have universal standards for how we let men treat us. You’re absolutely right that if it’s not corrected they’ll just keep doing it.

I agree with the sexually compatible bit. I know some people who follow the “everything but” rule, aka doing other stuff but saving PIV sex for their wedding night. Idk if I would really call that waiting until marriage though.

THIS!!!! Literally just last week I was complaining to my sister about how my friends have boyfriends while I’m single. She reminded me that my friends have shitty boyfriends, and I could have one too if I had taken my ex back after I dumped him. The idea that a woman being single is sad is a TRAP to try to get us to settle for someone undeserving. Which, sadly, works on a LOT of women. It is so important to work to undo the way we’ve been conditioned to think: that being in a relationship shoul…

If I had to guess I would assume she DID have at least some friends or family who told her she was being dumb but she a) said bUt I LoVe hiM and b) listed off whatever bullshit excuses he gave her (slippery guys like this lie and make up excuses without even blinking)

Being rude to waiters/service people is a HUGE red flag. Which is convenient because it’s something you can sometimes find out about on a first date. I can’t tell you how much I wish I had broken things off the second my ex acted annoyed at a waitress because she spilled a water glass.

Same! My ex made cooking basically impossible. Like when I cooked something containing veggies, he would either refuse to eat it or dramatically pick out all of the tomatoes/peppers/onions I had added. It was infuriating.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/12/19 09:13 PM

This. My ex was absolutely the pickiest eater I ever met. Like order chicken fingers off the kids menu at a five star sushi restaurant level picky. Going out to eat with him was sooooo embarrassing. He would pester the poor waiter about how he wanted his meal prepared, and then send it back if there was even the smallest issue with it.

ESPECIALLY HEIGHT! When I see someone lists their height on their profile I mentally subtract 4-6 inches. Can’t tell you how many “six foot tall” men I’ve met who are shorter than me (I’m 5’8)
