Hi Queen I’m going through a similar thing! Something that I’m hoping will help is being more mindful/slow about doing stuff I couldn’t appreciate/enjoy as much when living with other people. Ex: a suuuper long shower, painting my nails and taking my sweet time, etc. more general advice is to focus on hobbies and goals and yourself but I do get your inner conflict about being alone and potentially lonely. Hi ladies! If you saw my comment below, I am leaving my partner’s apartment, which was a huge and right decision for me. However I haven’t lived alone in such a long time. I am a bit anxious about the final moment of goodbyes but I am trying to stay strong by thinking about all the negatives of staying here. Does anyone have any experience/feelings of this sort of restart alone?

After months of staying at my partner’s place (not engaged or married, we’re students) I realized I was providing excessive help around the house, excessive emotional support, and realized this was not worth the free stay. I’m moving out in a few weeks and have backed off helping around the house, established boundaries when I don’t want to give advice/attention, and generally realized I’m not attracted to him anymore. I am working on my personal mental health through readings about codependency…
