I'm not talking about it as a do over, although many people see it that way. Unless it was rape, it was her decision too, takes two to have sex. What I disagree with is that his choice should be over after sex. Guys aren't emotionless, we could value the unborn baby's life. He may view it as the death of his first born son/daughter. I'm not getting into that debate. It doesn't matter for the subject. If the male believes life begins at conception (even if I don't) it makes the loss just as real. Its a matter of belief.

Thats a bit of a cop out. And perhaps you should re-read what a wrote. My issue is that if a woman wants to keep her child than the guy has to sacrifice a lot to pay child support. I can't force a woman to get an abortion if I don't want to have a kid, but a woman can force a man into the same situation.

Considering the rate of death for pregnancy is so low I wouldn't think that would be as much of an issue. I am of the mind that men who have to get second jobs to support an "accidental" child go through quite a few physical stresses as well. Also, you could say the same about the abortion process itself. I agree there should be exceptions, rape baby, abusive father. It should be discussed and quickly decided upon.

Oh, sorry. I mean that if lets say some guy and girl fool around, leading to a pregnancy. I think that if a man wants to keep the kid, and the woman doesn't, the man should be able to take custody of the child, and the woman have to carry the child to term before handing the child over if she still doesn't want it.

I can understand the first part, being aware, since it is a risk. But I think thats common sense... However, I don't have to treat a woman like a sheet of glass... if she is reading a book on the subway, I don't feel it is rude to say "Hey! I love that book" :) I mean there are some horrible guys out there, but am I going to attack you on a crowded train? NO! If I started following you off the train, then worry. But really? All the time? Thats just paranoid beyond the norm.
