Oh I completely agree that a lot more false accusations need to be prosecuted than are. In the UK less that 1% of verifiable false accusations are prosecuted. I also agree that this is shocking considering it is rather uniquely a crime for which the police have full documentation. It is still hard to prosecute a he-says-she-says situation and hard to see how a sound conviction could be reached in a lot of cases.

The conviction rate in the UK is over 60% - slightly higher than that other crimes. I'm not sure where people get the low conviction rate idea from - it certainly isn't from court records and government issued statistics on convictions.

This is exactly what I thought when I read Svenskbitch's post. You often hear from females how great Scandinavia is for men because of feminism - but they are kidding themselves and it is sort of sad to see.
