Rape is about power and control most of the time, and the teacher/student relationship has a power structure that does not allow the subordinate to have the agency to give consent. There was an additional aspect of age too that eliminates consent. It's really sick to tell the victim that they wanted it or that it's regret after the fact when they were unable to give consent by default.
