yeah he still is a huge POS. BBC did an investigative piece on him interviewing his staff in Scotland and the USA. He creates an incredibly toxic work environment and has a reputation within the business of being a sex pest. There are too many similar stories from previous employees on both sides of the atlantic for it to be false rumors. He's also harrassed and intimidated people who speak out against him. I feel zero sympathy for him. toxic people like him attract toxic people like that woman.

its murky, but not really all that weird. you are responsible for the actions you take when drunk but not responsible if someone takes advantage of you when in a vulnerable state. the law was made to make things less ambiguous around the question of consent while drunk. just dont stick your dick in drunk. saves you a lot of potential trouble in the future.

well the point is that being able-bodied, his injuries would likely be so minor that he wouldn't require medical treatment. He wouldnt be responsible for the injuries of another, as depending on where you live, there is no legal obligation to do so, unless you have sat down in the seats specifically reserved for the elderly/disabled/pregnant. its not about discomfort, its about safety. Public transport has rules about giving up your seat to these groups and assigning specific quotas of seats to them because if they are standing and there is a sudden jolt or say a bus needs to take evasive action in traffic (like braking hard) a pergnant woman could fall and potentially lose her baby, and elderly person could get fatally hurt.

I had a colleague like that once, she was a humourless jerk. She would get offended at every joke in the office. It took only a few days before everyone learned that it just wasn't worth trying to make friends with her or to tell jokes when she was around. Whenever I was in the office with her, I was always serious and only ever discussed work with her. It was the safest thing to do.

For us its really heroin. fun story, here in scotland 'smack' is a slang word for heroin, and in holland 'smak' is the dutch word for 'spam' (the meat in a can). So a while back my uncle from holland was visiting and decided to go do a shopping but came back empty handed. Have you ever been on a crowded bus or train? Imagine you are 8 months pregnant and you had to stand.. happened to a colleague of mine, the bus was so busy, no one would give up their seat for her and she got elbowed in the baby at least twice. She had to get off the bus and go straight to the hospital because she got hit hard enough to seriously scare her. Its for their safety, not just comfort.

This is an ongoing story in the uk and there is a lot wrong with it. we don't actually know what the truth is anymore because of how poorly the ayia napa police handled it. they immediately treated her with suspicion, interrogated her in a hostile fashion and didn't take her complaint seriously. so the evidence is tainted.
