I'm not going to get into the "what is feminism" debate on this sub reddit here because people simply won't listen(previous experience). But what you are saying will basically turn this sub reddit into an anti-feminism sub reddit rather than a pro-male rights sub reddit. Compare this to the vegan telling you how bad meat is rather than the pros of their choice.

Its pretty hard to argue that this is relevant about Men's Rights. You are getting awfully touchy about something that is pretty plainly stated in both the article itself and its title. When every line is referencing feminism and its effect on women, then yes, it has no bearing on Male Rights.

True. Especially given my last couple of comments I made on this subreddit. Although for the most part I apologized for it I just don't like equating feminism to an anti-male movement just as I don't like equating MRAs to anti-female movement. That was the main point I was trying to get across but I got a little bit thickheaded and heated. Not at all. But its a pretty big leap to judge a gender based activist group to a socialist regime. Feminism isn't an individual group but a shared ideology between groups. How they interpret its message depends on its followers. This is analogous to religion if that helps make the connection.

I agree with you to a point. Feminism isn't a group it is an ideology. You can judge groups that follow feminism but you shouldn't judge the movement as a whole.

Again this was mostly a confusion of threads to me. I believed the original text to state that it was feminists not misogynistic. I still stand by my statement that the comment wasn't necessary. It is more circlejerking than anything. And the point of my statement was mostly that we should not instantly cast off female rights groups because they are female rights groups which seems to be the norm here.

Living in that state, this make me incredibly angry. I was not aware that the mother could put any person's name on a birth certificate they liked. The fact that you have to take it to the supreme court makes me lose alot of faith in Louisiana's government, not that most of us here had great thoughts of it already.

Its sad I had to scroll down for a voice of reason. This is what the accepted norm should be, we shouldn't demonize Kathy Griffith and Anderson Cooper for having onscreen antics (that were probably partially scripted). The issue should lie if a man was mistreated for similar jokes.

You can't judge a movement based on its extremist. Obviously, if you look at the big post on SRS and MR, you're going to see alot of biased garbage. I have accepted this. The important thing is that you do your own research, and look for the posts that actually make sense, and attempt to show people the error in their ways of thought, rather than casting a sheet of disapproval over the entire group.
