Lol yeah sure. Put on your tin foil hat because someone said facts you don't like and called out your arguments as morally reprehensible.

Dude I have no dog in this race. I care about facts and truth, andthe truth is there are some small dicked losers who buy into the incel bullshit and think it's cool to go out and hurt people. And you defending them and pretending they dont exist makes you both fucking dumb, and complicit when bad shit goes down in the name of some losers self absorbed, one iq incel worldview.

You are making really, really bad arguments but I'm going to take a second to pull them apart. First: Violence is not a necessary, but rather a sufficient reason to ban a subreddit. Violence associated with a subreddit is one of many reasons to ban it. I will however, note that violence being associated with a subreddit is one of the few things that will force any social media company to act and take content off their medium. Second: Killers identifying themselves as feminist...who have no assoc…

I don't think you understand how much energy gets put towards domestic violence and solving that problem. But again, pointing to one problem doesn't mean another doesn't exist. Your argument is super, mind numbingly dumb.

Do you understand what a trend is? In what sense do you intend to use the word here? https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/trend?msclkid=8b627305ce8d11eca14f7c4cfd5d919c If you want to talk about statistical significance we've moved from never having an incel related attacks to multiples a year. If you look at how school shootings have evolved over time they rose from unheard of, to occasional, to prevalent. https://www.counterterrorismgroup.com/post/the-rise-of-school-shootings-in-the-unit…

No, there is no criminal associated with FDS. No criminal who acted based on motivations connected with their FDS beliefs. That hasn't happened, and it's not about it not being an identity, members of any community will always consider that community part of their identity. FDS is no different in that respect. You're arguing in circles. Admit the truth: incels have killed people as a result of their incel beliefs. No FDS adherent has ever done the same. Admit it. Take a deep breath, do whatever …

If relationships are innately transactional then they aren't functioning well. That's kind of my point, what people "aren't buying into" is that a healthy functioning relationship is at its base two people creating a life. Also you mean moot.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 11:13 PM

The key point your missing in your reply is the IF. iF there was a criminal associated with fds, you'd be right they would be exactly the same. But in this way they are different. You can still say both promote hate and I won't argue with you. But this far only the incel community has inspired violence. Until your IFs become realities you must acknowledge this difference exists.

I think it's fair to argue that both are motivated by sexism and a toxic, commodified outlook towards relationships. I agree that FDS is the female equivalent of incel culture. However, there are no ties with the FDS culture and violence. You can easily point to a disturbing number of violent attacks linked to incel culture perpetrated by individuals who identify as incels. You want to make a link to FDS, but really your argument is "sometimes women hate men and do violence against men" which is…

Agree with the serial killer point, however, FDS are absolutely femcels. While (the better) part of what FDS does is encourage women to stand up for themselves, they also value men based almost entirely on economics, and advocate exploiting them on that basis. There's not a lot of talk about developing a healthy relationship dynamic, its about extracting exactly what you want. And when that toxicity is wildly unsuccessful in creating a good relationship they look only outwards for the source. Mu…

Rare is a relative term. As I commented above people who monitor violent threats within the US believe the incel community is a potential threat. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/us-report-identifies-misogynist-incels-as-violence-threat/ar-AAV5WX3?ocid=BingNewsSearch There are actually a growing number of incel related attacks. Sometimes average looking people date each other. I don't know what world you're living in, but a lot of people are pairing off. And a lot of them are just meh. Attractive people have it easy in life, but love is always complicated. Just because someone is attracted to you it doesn't mean they're right for you

I get it. But you also have a little bit of control over your own approach and expectations. A lot of people who end up romantically together are not strangers. They know each other through/as friends etc and things develop organically. Dating is rough, but just being around people is a lot easier.

The way that I eventually learned to guard myself was framing everything as a search for best fit. Obviously if a girl wasn't into me she wasn't best fit, so no loss there. But then it's been a minute since I've had to deal with dating.

Everyone exists within society, so no one can really claim they aren't influenced by it. However, my attitudes are largely a direct, conscious rejection of shitty old world, religious attitudes towards sex and sexuality. It's funny that your response to my suggestion that you consider why your making this value judgment was the least introspective and one of the less self aware responses I've seen. Yeah so I'd encourage you to look at what you mean by degrading and really examine whether that's something that your using as a value judgment, and if so whether that makes sense. The dividing line in sexual experiences is really whether it's something you enjoy. Power dynamics in sex are something that some people find enjoyable to expirement with. Being able to have as well as relinquish power is not a sign of weakness but arguably strength.

Uh huh. Our mental strength. Care to explain what you mean by that? Are you asserting a mental difference between the genders and if so what would that be? Oh and to clarify I'm not arguing we excelled because we held women back, I'm arguing we lost half of our brainpower as a result. The discussions here have everything to do with people's attitudes towards women who have sex. Also you're the one who engaged me brosuff.

Two pieces to this. First your point is off-topic a bit. The argument isn't that men have not made contributions or to society, nor that they will cease doing so. The argument is that an individual woman no longer has to be dependent on a male, and it is likely that female earning will continue to grow in time. Part of that is obvious from the lack of historical context in your note about male achievements. If you exclude women from participating in fields like science, medicine etc. men will by…

Regarding the rise of hate groups some of it is definitely reflective of the rise of incel culture which is a pretty recent phenomenon. But growing up here in a rural town people are pretty religious and therefore pretty shitty about sex and sexuality. That part has actually gotten a bit better even if it's still shit. It's safer to be out now than it was.

Bad things would happen if any significant portion of the workforce suddenly decided work was not for them. Construction is becoming increasingly automated--the sort of brute force strength males have an edge in is less needed than it was and is going to continue to be less needed as time moves on. They are printing houses and automating the process of laying foundation--shit is nuts.

The focus is not on building "another connection"--it's on vetting men with the specific goal of finding men who will provide financial support. And it uses sex as a tool to do that, and to manipulate what the sub literally describes as "high value" targets. While I completely support finances being part of a relationship, and would not fault someone for looking for a partner who is financially stable and can contribute, the perspective espoused by FDS which boils a man down into dollar signs is…

Re the comparison to pua--the whole sub is literally about manipulating sex to control the relationship. It is the female equivalent. Painting someone as the other with an intrinsic lesser value is not ok. Not cool. Not helpful. Stop spamming this sub.

/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/20 10:32 AM

Let me clarify--the community is toxic and no male has any reason to interact with them for the purpose of seeking advice--and should avoid doing so because it legitimizes a community that espouses harmful ideas. I like to call it a low value community.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/20 10:30 AM

Yeah, I just want to reiterate that a lot of the views espoused on FDS are not ok, and as a guy I would avoid them. Anyone who uses the term low value male is someone you should probs avoid. But this may just be a troll. If so I was trapped in my ignorance.

ah, yes. so welcoming.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/20 10:22 AM

I also sincerely doubt that sub would would be welcoming or helpful. It's an insular female community. It's not for men, and is often openly hostile to male perspectives / males.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/20 10:21 AM
2

From my observation of FDS it is kind of the female equivalent of being red-pilled / a pickup artist. Their goals are different but their perspectives are similarly devaluing of the opposite gender / problematic. It's strange because aspects of it are sold in the guise of female empowerment and are somewhat fair advice--don't settle for a man who doesn't treat you well--but have attached values which aren't really great--don't settle for a man who doesn't have money / pay for you / commit. The s…

I too had zero success at parties. I can chat someone up online and have a good convo one on one--parties just aren't my scene. Here's what we know--men and women use different methods to commit suicide, and men tend to have a greater rate of successful attempts. Someone has advanced the argument that access affects what method someone uses. We know that firearm access is a risk for suicide. So...at least with respect to gun based suicide they're right. That might not explain the gender difference completely--but the data available establishes that access must contribute to at least the use of guns by males in America. A…

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3296090/ Note that sexual orientation is at least partly tied to pre-birth factors. Your assertion that porn "turns people gay" is at best inaccurate. I think there's two main pieces to what you're missing. The first is the conclusion you pretty much have to draw if you acknowledge both that sex is important to relationships and people are more or less sexually compatible--and some individuals not sexually compatible at all. If you accept those two points then marriage without any shared experience of sex is a recipe for misery and divorce. The second piece to this is actually connected to one of your arguments--people's sexuality develops. In…

Sex isn't dehumanizing. It's a huge part of what makes a romantic relationship. It's not a "test drive." She's not a car--fucking is not her function. And talking is not the same as doing. Things that sound hot in conversation and in fantasies aren't the same in person. If you start to look at things from a sex positive perspective you'll quickly realize that with the myriad number of sexual preferences out there it makes sense to actually vet your partners for sexual compatibility. It's illogic…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/20 10:42 PM
2

I don't know what your experiences have been around sex, but I've had very rewarding experiences and experiences that were not so rewarding. The tightness comment is...strange to me. When I talk about sexual compatibility I'm talking primarily about someone who likes the same things I do during sex. Who will find the things that I find hot hot, and who does things I enjoy. For me compatibility also means being open to trying new things, and wanting sex at somewhere near the same frequency I do.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/20 09:34 PM
2

I think that's a good explanation for why people think that way historically, but I don't think it really makes sense in today's day and age. Birth control is (comparatively) convenient, so what you need to ensure is not that your partner doesn't have sex with anyone else, but rather that they want to have your child and you've agreed on whatever the rules are around sex. *edit: this is even assuming you want to have kids. If you don't it's just that much simpler.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/20 09:23 PM
2

No, not to date and not for marriage. My partner was someone who is a little bit older than me and had way more experience. That was attractive to me both because I knew she would be more open to exploration, and because her attitudes fit mine. Also, I would never marry someone without ensuring I was sexually compatible with them--so frankly the extreme end of chastity weeded partners out for me, some of whom I really liked otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/20 09:17 PM
1

Yeah, I think it's fair that the way we behave is definitely shaped / filtered through capitalism. But honestly in a star trek utopia where social currency is more valued than anything else couples would still want partners who can help with forward momentum. I also agree with the internalization / projection thing. It's just pin-pointing where the pressure is coming from in each instance.

I feel like I've had these discussions re: preferences and I think it is true there is less room for them. I haven't seen a lot of attacks based on them, but the attitude is basically "who the fuck cares what you're into" coming from women to men, which is fair. It's more a subject I'd talk to with my male friends anyways. I'd prefer x person I interact with in a platonic way not extrapolating how little or much they fit my "type." I also think that sometimes people's preferences reveal things t…

Can I just put it out there that I've never understood the attraction to chastity? I think that was one of the early religious notion I rejected--along with everything else to do with sex. There were multiple links there, sorry they were jumbled together. If you follow all of them you will find cites to studies indicating that education and income are inversely correlated to divorce.
