Many average women do not get the foot in the door too. Seriously only checking the first posts in PPD shoes it is not neutral but very one-sided posting by frustated men.

There are no valid statistics and studies at all. Nobody can claim numbers. However the last years have shown it is not super rare.

Of course the overall appearance matters for everyone but that does not mean have to appear like the typical ideal alpha career type so many men like to interpret it. And no I am pretty sure we all had in life experince finding someone good at first sight and horrorable after a few hours and same the other way around (not only specific in search for a potential partner but in general).

Many studies have proven that many people regardless gender judge themselves way too positive and not how majority judges them in reality. Many think of themselves as average in looking and kind in personality whereas in reality they are not but cannot admit it to themselves. The top comment is very realistic. Somehow most gender relationship sites on the internet are very unbalanced and one-sided. Be it men, women and others and the media-politics union fuels the anger on top for years. I clicked on this site per accident because it claims to be more neutral and while it is not that bad as elswhere it is often obvious majority writes only from their one-sided perspective with a lack of a more holistic view.
