Why would you tell them you’re dating other people unless they ask directly? No need to volunteer any information about your private life unless asked. If asked, you can defer the question “why do you want to know?” Or just be very vague “I’ve been on dates with other people” or “if someone piques my interested I’ll accept a date with them” etc. Unless you’ve had a conversation about being exclusive there’s no reason a guy should be surprised or anything but respectful and understanding about th…

I love having my guy friends and have a fair amount of male friends. But they’re just that- friends and only friends. The friendships work because there is no hint of anything otherwise and many of them are in other relationships or were people I briefly went on a see dates with but we both decided it didn’t work so been there done that. Cultivating a bunch of friendships with guys as some sort of long term vetting strategy sounds tbh exhausting and point less and will not achieve an actual genu…

Yeah I came here to say that day trading is basically gambling and no matter how “good” at it someone is you’re basically gambling with your savings. Same with crypto. Fine to have some “fun money” in it if you want but if this guy thinks he’s going to be day trading for retirement money or other actual savings for life planning or events like wedding house etc then you can kiss those things goodbye because you can lose it all very quickly and it is NOT the sure fire way to wealth, or stable at …

If he’s pressuring you to see him every day after one date that’s a big red flag 🚩 does he not have a balanced life? Friends, other hobbies etc? That would be a big turn off to me.

Disagree. Some stds (hpv for example) or hsv do not show up on tests right when you get them. For example you can have hpv, it can go dormant, and then show up again years later when it gets reawakened so to speak. Has nothing to do with the current person you’re with necessarily, more your immune system. For hsv, it takes 12 weeks from being infected for the body to produce enough antibodies to trigger a positive antibody test result.

If someone isn’t worthwhile the first time around they will never be on the second time around. Consider it a lesson learned. Also, I wouldn’t have even brought up what you’re looking for, it offers him the invitation or the assumption that something is on the table.

Oral herpes can be transmitted to the genitals by oral sex and is responsible for about 40% of new herpes infections in the US so it’s not exactly like it’s any better / different in terms of sexual health.

THANK YOU 🙏 As someone with HSV I am seeing a lot of misinformation / misunderstandings about it here and how people think they’re “clean” while likely 99% of them or their partners have never even gotten an hsv test.

You should know that in the US at least, standard std testing doesn’t include herpes testing, and testing in the absence of an outbreak is clinically a bit complicated as a positive result doesn’t reveal whether the infection is oral or genital, and the chance of false results is quite high. Just FYI in case you are in the us and relying on standard std tests as some indication of a persons hsv status.

So he raped her, and she wants to know if she should try to communicate about it? Good god. This guy is dangerous and women need to stop gaslighting themselves into normalizing this and LISTEN TO THEIR FEAR! It is a self protective instinct!

Other people aren’t going to fix you (and the perfect man doesn’t exist). You need to deal with your problems by yourself and figure out how to stand on your two feet by yourself first before you’re able to have any semblance of a healthy relationship. Focus on that, not finding a partner, even if you met a HVM you cannot have a healthy relationship if you’re mentally reliant on him (or anyone!) being there. Seek therapy and other assistance for you, instead of looking for a man.

Not weird to want to meet people or to go into a city to do so, but your plan to just wander around talking to random women is weird, and likely unwelcome and unproductive. Find events that encourage conversations where people will obviously be there for the purpose of meeting others instead of just harassing women on the street and demanding their time / energy and engagement without it being a appropriate setting to do so.
