I personally feel that it corresponds to the failure of modern relationships due to things like social media. There’s always a “next best thing” or a itemized list of “desire.” It allows people to get a false perception of reality. What “happiness” is, what’s “desirable.” I think if society as a whole puts less stock into this, we’ll see everything get better. If you put me on paper and try to analyze me like a math equation, I think there’d be just as much “undesirable” as there is “desirable” …

It’s a lawsuit aka civil suit. If it were a criminal complaint, there would be no suit, only an investigation and/or arrest. Only people investigating at the moment is the NFL. He has not been named a suspect, he has not been questioned by police, and has not been arrested. Some if not All elements would be present in a criminal case.

So statistically of the losses sustained by female and male drivers per x amount of claims, males were significantly more likely to sustain a total loss (an average of ~18k) vs females. While women statistically get in more minor/fender bender accidents, men are SIGNIFICANTLY at higher risk for a total loss than women. Idk if it’s true, but I do know that I’ve battled some of the deepest depression of my life as my ex tries to push me out of the picture of our unborn son. The only thing that keeps me above water most days is knowing that I have to set an example for him and let this be another chapter on how we as men can overcome any obstacle, no matter how difficult. I get what you’re saying. I think track and field and tennis will never be able to have the gender gap broken. I know that this isn’t a sports sub but...To be honest I think we’re really close to seeing a woman possibly cracking a national squad at the World Cup level. I agree. But what’s even more disturbing the the perversion of the justice system. How can you jail a person for 7 months, only to find out the accuser was lying and NOT pursue anything? I get the point being made, but at the same time you have to look at it (from a business perspective) of how to grow clientele. If there are significantly more men than females, they have to create a ploy to entice more women. I’ve seen several men’s only Yoga classes because, again, that’s a group that’s significantly underrepresented and a business is trying to grow it .

The thing that troubles me is that this could set off a chain of events where the child normalizes abandoning the child. And that’s a very fair point. However, I think the inconvenience of waiting a little longer to splash some cold water on your face to wake up a bit and be safe is possible. I agree with the principle of your analysis, but a relationship IN GENERAL should be about making your spouse a priority. While I think the wife should have made plans out of respect for her husband, if those plans fall through for whatever reason, he has an obligation to make sure his wife is ok and safe. I love how at the end it highlights that policy is supposed to be victim centric and to presume the person is telling the truth instead of looking at the facts. By all means, accusations should be taken seriously. However, there is a way to tactfully investigate the matter without bias towards the accused or accuser.
