Most states are “one-party” consent law states I.e. in this context, since you agree to make a recording of your interaction, you have the consent of one of the parties. On a federal level this also the case. There are only 11 states that are “all-party” consent states; California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Washington.
