The thrill and the chase are everything. It's the never knowing what can or will happen that makes it so much fun, and for someone who loves to study psychology and all that staff, it makes for a great time. I will say that in many cases, the less knowledge (and more time out just trying, learning through experience), the better, least for me.

Be more present. Wait for people to drop massive conversation "bait hooks" and latch onto them by sharing something with the group that adds value. Practice, practice, practice. I too was always great at 1-1 but struggled with groups until I just got out of my own head.

Not sure but allowing escalation to me means that she's saying yes on some level. What was the highest level of escalation you were allowed to do and what was the vibe? Better to do more (which sounds like you are), and if she's letting you do it, it's usually a very good sign.

For example, if you can work on your laptop from home, take it to the local coffee shop and chat people up. *Learn to say hey to everyon…

Stop taking yourself so seriously is gold. I get way in my own head when approaching and that's because I take too long to actually do it. I've also realized how powerful momentum is, small, daily consistent practice. Also love the intention / complement deal.

I couldn't agree more. I went through a very similar experience where I was stuck in a small town which I hated, but I had started a business and it was keeping me there. I did my best not to make excuses, but at the end of the day, the talent was few and far between in a very real way and I would go days, yes days, without seeing an approachable girl (dead serious). Long story short, I made the change up and I have never, ever been happier. I chose a place on the West Coast as well and honestly…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
