All people are attractive if they are at a good weight and bf%. Men have not been taught how to style and groom themselves very well, and so most of them do not. Most men that I see have ALMOST got it, they just need a fix in their hair or clothes. This is what women continuously do with themselves throughout their lives so I don’t understand why you think they are born with these assets, you even acknowledge the use of artificial fixes rather than natural looks. So many of you have potential, h…

Leaving your husband is not mistreatment. Not finding most men attractive is not mistreatment. Women being violent towards men is mistreatment, but as you have acknowledged, it does not happen at as high of a rate as vice versa. Of course women sometimes do bad and anti-social things towards men, but aside from the first point about education discrimination, absolutely zero of these occur due to women’s beliefs about men. They cannot be strictly classified as “male mistreatment”. “This mistreatm…

That is fantastic for you. But I am assuming you’ve made this post to see what judgement women have towards v-tubers, rather than the viewers of v-tubers, correct? You will find that there is more disgust towards the system that has been set up to please male viewers than to the people creating this content.

Notice how barely anyone said that they actually fight for men’s rights. C’mon, are you just here to complain a little or do you actually give that much of a shit?

Right, so it’s not about judging the viewer but judging the creator? Quite ridiculous; people only create because they know a demographic will watch it. It’s not a chicken or egg situation. I don’t think a v-tuber should be judged for benefitting off a system that works consistently. It’s not like they invented the lewd way in which men perceive women.

I thought women’s attraction morality came about because of their tendency to require personality and depth when feeling attraction towards something, whereas men just have to find it physically arousing? I can understand where whatever this female opinion you’ve used has come from, but I do not share it completely.

I think it’s weird. I think almost all aspects of male attraction are weird. It feels like a “never enough” sort of thing. Women don’t have a strong urge to mate with a wide variety of men, and it seems men have an urge to (hypothetically) mate with a wide variety of… anything at all. I don’t worry for v-tubers, they’re anonymous and getting paid, I just worry for the poor brains of the men that overconsume their content.

Yes, I’d love to. I don’t like most of the beliefs tied to my gender. I can’t relate to much besides hormonal patterns. But that’s a personal issue; I’d likely have issues relating to any social norms that are bound to form regardless in this post-gender society.

First one may be true to the title, rest are not specifically bad or anti-social actions towards men as a whole. As evidence of misandry, most of this unfortunately means nothing.

Buddy there’s nothing moderate-high IQ about discussing how you’re going to waste money on sports betting. Not all male experiences are the same, and not all female experiences are the same, cuz shockingly enough, no one person is the same. Biologically, though, we have different conversational styles. For men it’s “look at together” for women it’s “feel with together”. In simple terms.

Nah, don’t put the “male” in front of it. He’s a slut, let him know

I sort of see this perspective; I was at a family gathering today and noticed how the women wanted to talk about this and that with one another, meanwhile the men were mostly sitting to the side and chatting about very task-oriented things like horse betting and car engines and shit. Probably not the best example, but I can gather that friendships are about simply proximity and sharing when it comes to women, which is why we feel they should be applicable to everyone. Oxytocin hunting could most…

OP isn’t necessarily saying that it’s a bad thing, it can however become negative for a woman if it happens nearly every time she attempts to befriend a male. While it is not perceived as harmful by a man, it shows a pattern that a woman can interpret as her only being wanted for sex rather than conversation and quality time. There’s nothing strange about developing feelings for a female friend, though. What is particularly strange is the common occurrence of men ending friendships with women wh…

…no, I think if I asked any other woman in real life they would agree. I’ve had discussions about this with my friends before. No man in real life would believe it because, as you’ve worded it, they think it’s ridiculous. Which is partially why they still fail at attracting women.

I mean that it’s almost impossible to come across men who dress, act, and groom themselves for the approval of women

That’s such a useless answer. Of course no one is fully comfortable with themselves, but people can be more or less comfortable with themselves and others. Nobody has the same noisy scrutinising voice in their head; for some people it’s quieter, and for others it is barely there.

There are literally reddit subs dedicated to sharing nude pictures of wives, girlfriends, friends, relatives, etc. without them knowing. There are so many platforms to share info about women non-consensually already, will it only make you happy once every woman has been doxxed and photographed naked? Please cool it, I’m sick of this
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/26 12:59 PM

Bad enough to not feel comfortable with themselves around other people. I personally don’t feel comfortable with myself, especially in intimate situations, so I no longer seek them out cause I’ve realised I don’t feel prepared. Women who are comfortable with themselves are the ones who are having sex.

If someone was that bad at socialising, why would they even have a partner or much sex in the first place?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/26 08:48 AM

I can relate to this as a socially awkward and anxious person, but it truly does not mean the majority of women feel this way. Most sex happens within relationships, with a partner you’re comfortable with and know well. Performance anxiety is not the issue here, it’s the historical neglect and unawareness of the female orgasm that continues to this day

I can count the number of times I’ve met a man who tries to look good specifically for women rather than men on one hand. Two of them are gay, and I am obsessed with the other one. Three total.

Why… do people still think this is how most women are. It has been proven wrong. Continuously. From a personal perspective, I’d say that the women who are “getting fucked every Friday with a new man throughout their twenties” are extremely scarce. I’ve met one singular woman who would go around fucking someone monthly, however most women I know of are either in long term relationships, or getting laid 0-2 times per year. …no, it has been scientifically proven that fetuses cannot feel pain until 24 weeks of pregnancy. That is 5 months, I truly do not think many people at all are having abortions past that length.

Haha, reading these comments is making me gayer. I’m losing more and more attraction to men, it’s kind of scary
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 02:12 AM

Of course not. A kid can think, feel and speak. They have already developed into a human being. A fetus has not developed yet, it doesn’t exist as a person
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 02:02 AM

Well if you take that stance, you’d have to argue it’s immoral as fuck to eat a burger because a cow was killed for it. Are you pro-life, or just pro-fetus? Fetuses cannot think, feel, or speak. They might be able to do so once they are birthed, but they do not when they are aborted. It would be more immoral to knowingly welcome a child into your life knowing that you don’t have the resources, empathy, and will to raise it. A living human will feel so much pain for being brought into a life comp…

Because giving birth is painful as fuck, and changes your whole entire body, and doubles your expenses, and gives the child absolutely nothing good if you didn’t want to have it in the first place. Do you want to go through that and be responsible for the trauma of a child that you were aware you could not support? Honestly, every pro-lifer’s opinion is null to me unless they’re pro-life on everything. If you’re not an activist vegan or some shit then you probably don’t give as much as a fuck as…

Sexy in a video game or show, definitely a red flag in real life. People who are almost constantly “performing” are either terrifying or incredibly insecure. Make your insecurities known, I don’t wanna dig for them and get the cold shoulder for not acknowledging them from the start.

Men are committing more crimes because they have 10x the amount of testosterone that women do. It’s continuously proven to be a biological correlation, not a sociological one.

Of course I have empathy for men. I literally told my male coworker yesterday I’ll try to give him a loan for his international student fees if he needs it, although I’m lowkey broke too. What I don’t have empathy for, is any arguments made about what women can do (romantically or sexually) to make men’s lives better. I will of course feel bad for you if you can’t get a date, but you should not expect anything aside from that. I struggle to feel empathy for a lot of issues discussed within the m…

You’re partially right. Men and women give advice to one another, tailored to their own beliefs and gendered perspectives. Which is why your whole speculation about women struggling with dating needing to involve mental disorders or unrealistic ideations is simply incorrect. Women who actually struggle with getting a partner tend to be socially awkward and shy, or have deep issues with the way men perceive them. These are mental struggles, but certainly not indicative of psychological instabilit…

/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 08:08 PM

Yes, but you can’t certainly say that’s a societal issue involving privilege or suppression. You can easily pinpoint biological factors that might contribute to it, such as males having heightened impulsivity and increased chances of substance abuse and criminal activity, which can lead to homelessness if help is not sought.

Definitely, assuming the partner is male? You’re a bit unclear about that part, if he’s attracting his ideal partner, but wouldn’t his ideal partner be a woman if he were originally straight? Anyways, yeah. All he would have to do is put on makeup and a cute outfit, and work up the confidence to ask the ideal male partner out. He’d probably be approved right off the bat. Of course women are sending you mixed signals; they are billions of different people with diverse opinions, not a singular entity. There is no set of rules that is going to guarantee the social attraction of all women, you have to be a bit more narrow in your preferences and find out how to pursue a certain type of woman, or literally just a specific woman in your life. Men don’t understand what women want because they aren’t supposed to. A man can understand what one (1) woman wants if he asks …

For me, people I surround myself with and the interests I engage in are what have shaped my personality. From ages 10-14 I used to be extremely unaware and insulting towards basically anyone as an attempt to be funny like my sister. She was, in some ways, my role model whilst growing up and I felt a lot of pressure to be like her because she had so many friends and seemed to be so happy, and also because she was mean to me (as most siblings are) and convinced me I would get bullied if I didn’t a…

Observation doesn’t really account for in-person communication, though. In shared spaces, both women and men may engage in negative discussion about one another. Lived experiences also influence one’s opinion, such as men being continuously rejected by women and women being continuously harassed by men. Having a sufficient perspective of reality is not exactly a good thing. Applying critical thinking to objective reality is very important, however you cannot actually think critically if you have…

Pretty similar to how I want my current dating life to go, although I also want to think I’d have more confidence to make first moves as a man. I’d get massive crushes on people, then court them like crazy, and eventually try asking them out (for a long term relationship). I get on a self improvement kick basically every week and look for new ways to make myself better (non-financial, I don’t want to possibly attract shallow people), so I would do the same as a man. If all of my self-improvement…

This isn’t really unfairness, though. The majority of women end up with average men. The world reflects that, therefore there is not much unfairness born simply out of the small percentage of women going for awful men. Also, how is the quality of the women not relevant? A woman who has a preference for dangerous or criminal activity would only consciously act upon that preference if she weren’t a very good person. Simply put once more, why do women with an obvious poor moral standing (who go for…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 03:52 PM

If people allow their problematic preferences to manifest in real life, it means they and the other people around them are going to get problematic consequences. Putting yourself, with full awareness, in a situation where people are going to tirelessly worry about you and even be cut off from you, is a pretty garbage thing to do.

See, you’re looking at stats for crime that has occurred in relationships. Not stats for whether crime has or has not occurred in relationships. Average men, and the average women who partner them, make up the majority of all relationships. I doubt that any “extremes” entirely make up the 25% of abusive men in relationships, because that is simply not how statistics works. Just a quick change in search and you will find that it does not matter who women are with, there is always a 1 in 4 chance …

No, it truly doesn’t matter. Heterosexual females being “built” for and “wired” to like male penetration is not only partially false (only about 17% are able to orgasm from it, males are actually more likely to orgasm from penetration alone), but is also not the primary reason you are more likely to see female sex workers. You are more likely to see female sex workers because most men are straight and horny, and would like to have sex with women. High demand, high supply. Sex work is done for th…

Exactly. The topic is allowing someone to penetrate in exchange for money. Anal sex, vaginal sex, straight sex, gay sex; none of that actually matters. It’s not done for enjoyment, it’s done for money. I personally wouldn’t do it because I wouldn’t enjoy it. Even if it were a financial issue, it’s not a discomfort I would make myself go through. So, would you?

Male experiences in dating really, really suck. I am not going to deny this. But do you think that just because you can’t get laid, it’s a good excuse to be generally shitty to other people? We’re not asking that you attend like feminist rally’s or participate in women’s rights causes, that is definitely unnecessary and unpaid labour. Men would benefit a lot from learning more about themselves. If they want to project a certain image, they’d need to really connect with that image. This might sound dumb, but I’ve noticed a lot of men who talk about how much they relate to “aura”-ful characters, are really good at emanating the energy of those characters in a way that feels very natural to themselves. Hm, I don’t reckon men need marriage more. But I’m pretty confused, doesn’t basically all recent data suggest that men are far more interested in getting married than women are? Women have been quickly losing interest in seeking a lifetime relationship, and this is for the same reason you stated. They don’t want to indulge a man by providing them unpaid labour and emotional support without the same effort returned. Your second “contradicting narrative” is easily explained by what this commenter …

You don’t seem to think very critically. Do you expect to spend the rest of your life with a blank slate of a partner who you get to fuck sometimes? It’s not too hard for a woman to be attractive, especially when it’s been told to us since childhood that we have to look like all of the pretty Barbie dolls and gorgeous actors on screen. Women follow trends, they’re scared of being outcasted. A prime reason men think AWALT is because a lot of them kinda “look the same”, so clearly their personalit…

They are overlooked and dismissed by men, as there is a social stigma around men opening up to and supporting each other. The undercounting is definitely an issue, but it doesn’t really compete with the underreporting of male-on-female rape. As the abuse and sexual assault of men performed by women is not in significant numbers, neither with a clear hatred of men in mind, it’s extremely hard to even link it to misandry at all. Women CAN do harm to men, there is no denying that, except for when i…

I know this gets said a lot, but this truly would not be the same woman. A woman who wants emotional honesty and vulnerability in a man would not be the same woman who leaves him for expressing that. Also just adding on that some women find that emotional and vulnerable men really, really turn them on.

I would just marry a girl. Honestly, if a law like this started existing, my fleeting attraction towards men would probably disappear. You know when you watch a movie from/set before the 1960s, and none of the male characters make you horny because they display era-typical attitudes towards women? It’s cause they have more laws made for them, when laws like this exist then men don’t feel the need to perform for women which means there’s nothing they’ll really do to make themselves enticing at al…

I wouldn’t exactly say comphet. The features of a man that may show he is a “protector” tend to spike arousal in heterosexual women. The thing is, unless behaviour is tied to the looks, women tend to feel disinterest. This might sound a bit misandrist, but biologically, there is no behaviour that men seek in women, besides maybe submissiveness which can barely count as much of a behaviour. It feels like slipping a bit out of a fairytale as a woman, honestly, but knowing that my behaviour doesn’t…

The desire for men is a basically a social construct. Being taken care of and seen by someone who devotes themself fully to you is the whole gist of it, but we’ve been socialised to believe specifically men will provide that. We are also given “hope” through lifelong exposure to culture and media, that this is how the most important “love” should and will occur. If the MRA movement “died” because of that, then it’s a fucking weak movement that not enough people are supporting. Marginalised groups are marginalised, they are going to have people actively critiquing and sabotaging them. The only reason movements like Civil Rights and Women’s Suffrage succeeded was because the marginalised groups did not give up, not because everyone suppressing them magically decided that they wanted to fully involve themselves in supporting them.

Well that’s how most of my male friendships started, and trust me I still appreciate and care for some of these men, but they have failed to show appreciation towards me. That’s what I would like to get out of any future male friendships, because that’s sorta what the label “friend” implies.

Women don’t experience attraction in the same way that men do. When men post provocative pictures, like he could be fully shirtless, women will think “woah, he’s hot!” and then like. Go on with their day. They don’t typically stop and jack off to the photos and possibly send those photos to a bunch of their female friends. They also don’t remove the identity from the body; seeing a hot half-naked man doesn’t make women start disregarding his personality traits or meaning in their life, it might …

Fictional men make the reader feel a certain way, as if they’re special. That’s the only thing in common among all romance fiction. The women who treat real men as “transactions”? They’re only giving back the same passion that is given to them, which is none. Women don’t know how men want to be wanted, other than showing off their looks. Somewhat false! There have been a lot of men in my life that I’ve been extremely obsessed with but I struggle to actually talk to because I like them so much and I get shy. And then I act disinterested when I do talk to them, because I don’t want them to know I’ve been obsessing over them. Sex isn’t a bad thing at all! I just find it frustrating that men tend to form perceptions of women based on their sex appeal, without consideration their personality and capabilities. If you are refuting my argument, then could you tell me if you have any male friends you only like because they arouse you sexually? Or do you spend time with them because they have cognitive/behavioural/social attributes that make them enjoyable to be around?

That’s literally the first thing I mentioned in the first paragraph of the comment you just replied to. Yes, these women do exist. They are basing their attraction off of something else, however what I am arguing is that men are basing their judgement of women as people (not as romantic or sexual prospects) on how attracted to them they are.

This is a good and well-thought out response god bless. I do believe that cultural influences like the internet are massively damaging the newer generations of men’s ability to remove the implication of sex from the literal existence of women, though. There are a concerning amount of men out there who struggle to evaluate a woman, in a non-romantic and non-sexual setting, without first consulting how attracted to them they are.

But you can’t tell me men, as a collective, are only appreciated for a single thing. You can argue that in terms of attraction itself, women might be looking for a man who fills a certain criteria; considerably attractive, good income, etc, which, yes, can diminish the value of a person. I’m talking about widespread stuff though. There’s not exactly a rebuttal for this at all. It’s a common pattern to marry someone similar to you, either because of where you live, who you socialise with, or just a preference for familiarity. I will say, it’s pretty rare for a man to find initial attraction in a woman because they are educated, smart or funny. An unfortunate statement a lot of people, on here particularly, have to say is that men get into relationships because they want sex, or kids in the future. Not because they find an…

This has nothing to do with men’s issues. There is little, if any, indication that men can are capable of liking a woman for something unrelated to physical attraction. That’s it, that’s literally the post. You can provide some sort of proof to refute that, or provide an on-topic counter argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 04:27 AM

It’s a bit deeper than that dude. A guy could save a million lives, be friendly to everyone he knows, but also never tell a woman that he genuinely thinks she’s talented or interesting and likes her because of that. That’s not a prerequisite for being a good person, that’s still a “good man” right there. He just has a cognitive bias influenced by the surrounding world which doesn’t allow him to look for something in a woman that is not related to attraction. This is a collective issue that is da…

The stats are not a big part of the post, anyways, as I state that they do not reflect all men. Oldest take of the century. I am yawning. Women are attracted to attractive things. Just like how men are attracted to attractive things! There are unfortunately “less” attractive men out there due to many factors, a big one being that men haven’t been socialised for centuries to look as attractive as possible at all times, and that means women are only attracted to a smaller percentage of men. And because the average overwhelmingly outweighs the gorgeous, it’s not uncommon for some women to aim…

This is an awful take. Porn content is produced so rapidly that you can’t even know how much and what sorts you have or haven’t seen, and honestly you’re more likely to get “tricked” into thinking a woman is genuinely enjoying something if you are watching independent content; most independent content relies on the thousands of men watching or paying so that the woman generates revenue. Of course they are going to exaggerate how pleasurable something is; it pays their fucking bills. Independent …

Okay? Like half of all husbands are bad husbands. Nobody said it mattered whether they provide or not. I don’t know why you keep using quotation marks for “willingly providing” when you’re clearly talking about a transactional scenario in which a man provides for a woman in exchange for her being in a relationship with him. They’re both getting what they want, sincerity and feelings are not necessarily important to these people so yes it is willing provision. If the partners end up being awful t…

This is partially true-ish but you’re missing a bit of stuff. For starters, it’s significantly more easy for a man to cum than a woman when it comes to penis in vagina sex. Most women cannot orgasm through penetration alone, even if it feels good it can be pretty rare for a woman to completely get off on that. Clitoral stimulation is an important part, and if a man is using a woman’s body to get off, then she may as well use his fingers, which, yes, requires more effort on his part, but like c’m…

What point are you trying to make? Women who want a traditional man should expect abuse? Something I see often is that women “make the wrong choice” when dating and that’s why they get abused. I’m sure some traditional men are kind whereas some are not, but the reality is that most women walk in to a relationship with a man, regardless of identity or status, with the belief that they will not experience domestic violence. In a perfect world, there should not be any factors that indicate domestic…

What? Women who want that are well aware of this. They don’t have to “think deeply” about this because the men they’re searching for are men who are going to willingly provide this. Women who go for powerful men are obviously expecting the man to have power over them. I rarely see women who don’t work but have a high-income partner complaining about… well, really anything at all. They like being dependant. The man got a hot woman who’s willing to have kids with him, she got stability and money, …

Whatever vaguely reminds me of my current or past interests. Usually hair styles and fashion senses, but I will say that basically 90% of the time they have to have lean face and body structures. I think this would be more accurate if, rather than three different scenarios, you considered that there may be two different types of women. Woman 1 only goes for men who are high in status. Woman 2 has a specific type (based in looks & personality) that she goes for. The magical thing about Woman 2 is that there is so much variety in what that type could be depending on the woman’s personal tastes. Which… really isn’t strange. Male strippers and male porn magazines are not very well targeted towards women. Muscular tanned men who are dripping in sweat is for some reason the go-to. There are probably women who are attracted to that, but it seems to be moreso designed for gay men, or the idea is simply based off of a man’s idea of what a woman finds attractive. There’s a lot more variety when it comes to erotic content involving women. You get to see their pretty makeup and their pretty hair and maybe their pretty linge…

Weak willed is a pretty strong way of putting it. A lot of behaviour has been engrained into women. Women are often raised with the idea that if they are not impressing others, they do not exist. I don’t like how performative a lot of women I know are, but I also fully understand why they’ve ended up that way. None of what our society sees women as, nor forces them to become, is natural. Women aren’t born weak-willed, they are just told from a very young age that their existence relies solely on…

Did you not hear me when I said long term relationships were an exception? And yes, it’s definitely the case in casual sex when women initiate — if you have an attraction to someone you are going to want to “impress” them or seem appreciative of them. I’m confident in saying that every single woman who has sex, camera or not, is putting on a performance. Every woman will make it seem that they enjoy sex more than they do, unless they are autistic or have been with a partner for a long time. The faces of enjoyment from porn stars specifically are faces of actors, and if I see genuine happiness I can see that it’s mainly because they are enjoying being perceived. I don’t think that women aren’t acknowledging the advantages. I think that the advantages are so palpable that it is genuinely a waste to bring them up unless specifically asked for them. In response to a man arguing that women have it easier in dating, of course a woman is going to go straight to the disadvantages. The man is aware of how successful women are in the dating scene, so why would women restate that? It’s an argument. It is supposed to consist of counter points.

It is this fact that makes me sometimes completely unable to relate redpill to its initial purpose. To be redpilled is to be aware, apparently. Aware that society favours women. When you take a proper look, there is obvious mistreatment of both men and women in entirely different aspects, so women aren’t going to agree with redpill overall even if they agree with some of the beliefs. I would love for our society to look down upon promiscuous men in the way that we do promiscuous women. But this would not solve all men’s dating issues. Especially not for low-status men. The issue comes from what you implied at the start. Men and women are not “too” horny or picky respectively, because this is a result of biological, environmental and social factors that are basically impossible to reverse. We cannot eliminate male desperation or female selectivity. This dating pool expansion …

It does not matter if a man has low social power or not; most men are giving a high proportion of women attention. Men as a whole enforce this culture. You are correct otherwise, though. If male promiscuity magically dissipates and men become harder to obtain, it will still be the same as it is now for high value and low value men in terms of success.

Okay, but who says this? I know the topic you are referring to, and most women don’t make up all of that shit, they just find it strange because it’s unfamiliar to them; most women would rather be seen as potential term partners because otherwise they would likely be labelled whores. The narrative you are describing seems to be based on either one or two offhand responses, or you’ve made it up in your head entirely.

You keep forgetting: men are the ones who decided that only men should go to war. Men are the ones who commit those murders, violent assaults and suicides. It is not an assumption; it is simply not oppression. You cannot oppress yourself. Men oppressing other men is never due to gender. It is due to race, class and other things that are not defined as being a man. Men in higher classes wouldn’t benefit from the oppression of men, which is why it does not exist.

I wouldn’t say anything if I wasn’t seeing literal examples of it. Men are leaning more right wing than ever and actively voting against laws that recognise women as real people. A lot with full intention of stripping those rights away. I don’t think it will get as bad as some say, but that certainly makes feminists feel justified to continue fighting the “battle”. The issue with online discourse like gender wars is that no matter how right a woman is and no matter how right a man is, people will still stubbornly stick with the idea that they already believe. Even if they ask to be persuaded, it’s highly unlikely they’ll listen to the argument that’s been given to them. You are actually the prime example of this. Okay, sounds intense. Are you aware that most men who abuse and cheat are quite skilled in this little thing called manipulation? If they keep “getting away with it”, it means they’re good at it; whether it be seducing women, gaslighting women, coercing women, I could go on. People don’t see an abusive person and be like “wow I’d hit that”, they just see a person, who is good at hiding what they’re capable of through layers of confidence and charisma (which is, as we all know, attractive). It is…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 01:39 PM

Agreed. The “war” on men is all mental. They can choose to interpret the things women think and say about them in the ways they like, but the chance of a woman completely overpowering a man in any way is near nil. Abusive women exist, but they will never reach the extent of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 01:24 PM

Definitely not. Also, aren’t you the same person downplaying women’s struggles in 3rd world countries in comparison to western misandry? Gonna take everything you say with a grain of salt
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 01:15 PM
4

I see your point of view, but the answer is still no. The fact that a decent amount of men struggle to get laid is because women ignore them, not because they think they don’t have the right to get laid. There is no intentional gatekeeping like OP implies.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 12:10 PM
8

Voting is something that determines things on a widespread level. One (1) single woman saying that she doesn’t want to have sex with certain men determines whether or not one singular person is going to have sex with certain men. That woman is not saying that those men can’t have casual sex at all. This metaphor doesn’t work.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 11:56 AM

The reformation of the patriarchy will be due to men getting upset that women be lying?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 10:09 AM

No? Who the fuck is gatekeeping casual sex? Like genuinely show me how this is an issue that exists. When women rag on about men who prefer hooking up, it’s usually only if they’re using dehumanising terminology or if they claim that only women lose their value from it. Nobody thinks that men shouldn’t have casual sex. That’s a thing you are making up.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 09:41 AM

Okay. I think you’re forgetting that there are men who don’t have standards like that though. And women who don’t want to be housewives are marrying them.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 09:36 AM

Obviously. But you seem to be talking about relationships specifically, why would I not bring up forced marriage? Men go through that significantly less than women do. India having less than 5% child marriage is not a good argument. It should not exist in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 09:34 AM

It is not a concept of the past. Child marriage in India still exists, even if it’s declining. I don’t know why you would bring up 3rd world countries if you weren’t willing to acknowledge places like Niger or Chad, with child marriage prevalences of above 50%.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 05:16 AM

What? Women don’t change what men want, they just avoid the ones that don’t fit with their own values. You should be aware of that, considering you’ve brought up the 30% to 60% dating gap. It should be obvious that women don’t care if men don’t listen to them (in this context) because they’ll just find one that does.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 05:12 AM

Well, like you’ve mentioned (and deleted, wonder why) a reason that there are more partnered men in 3rd world countries is because force is often involved! Ever heard of child brides? Don’t know how the west is “much worse for sexism” when the prevalence of misogyny in 3rd world countries is literally incomparable to misandry in the west.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 05:06 AM

These standards you’re speaking of are a bit mixed up. Women don’t overwhelmingly complain about the visual standards that men have for women, which is why they are comfortable having high visual standards for men. Women do overwhelmingly complain about gendered expectations in relationships, because they can come off as pretty misogynistic. Assuming that your partner will do all of the cooking, cleaning, listening and child caring is a far different ballpark than wanting a hot and charming part…

LMAO I’m unfamiliar with this idea that lesbians have more messed up and violent fantasies about women than men do. Any source to back it up? Like others have said, men tried to stop women from having rights and also used misinformation, intimidation and harassment to reassert their organised political power and squash progress amongst feminist groups. Copying it word for word so you can understand that despite all the shit feminists were attacked for, they still got us where we are today. Forces were against them, but they were ultimately not stopped. Like, c’mon; if women can do it, surely men can too, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/25 09:40 PM

It’s the same answer because it’s the truest answer. Nothing is actually stopping you. Men help out with programs, assistance and opportunities involving uplifting women, but the initiative will almost always come from a woman herself. If a man was driven enough to make a campaign in favour of men’s wellbeing, of course his female colleagues would help out. So yes, do it yourself; or at least start it yourself. Women are obviously not going to initiate something that doesn’t benefit them.

Like at least 365 to fully know someone. For sex, it honestly depends on the person. Never the first couple dates though because that’s not enough time to build up trust. I believe in the halo/horn effect; I think it is perfectly normal for people to view attractive people in a better light upon first glance, if that’s what you’re talking about. Not necessarily a morally correct view, but it’s a commonality among people nonetheless.

No? It’s only hypocritical if the man himself has specifically had sex with 1000 people, which is highly unlikely. She also did it for entertainment purposes and monetary gain, while men who sleep with lots of women are doing it for their own pleasure. Not comparable
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 01:15 AM

Yeah. One of my friends occasionally goes on a tangent about how she should just become a sex worker or onlyfans creator because she’d get money and get told she’s sexy. If she ends up doing that I won’t care, I’ll still be friends with her. I’d likely be a bit more concerned about her safety though; she might not wanna be friends with me if I get too antsy

I agree that women who do that lack foresight, but it still shows that they’re not ashamed to act in a masculine way (assertion, bravery) while likely balancing femininity in their lives, even if that specific masculine quality makes them look a bit stupid. I’m talking more everyday stuff. Women who are single and pay their own bills. Girls who go into school with the goal to succeed and be the best. Women taking up or striving for leadership roles. Women who debate. Women who play sports. Women…

I don’t think there is a massive issue with how masculinity is defined. It is, certainly, a concept that counters femininity. Overall, though, both have positive qualities. I think you need to think about it from a bit of a broader perspective. A complete person, in my opinion, would be capable of holding traits of masculinity and femininity. I would say that women of today have embraced both masculinity and femininity quite well. They’ve gone from having no jobs, wearing no pants, being basical…

Exactly this, I never understand why they bring it up. I’m going to be annoying as hell and throw politics into this; right-wing women and left-wing women have largely differing amounts of tolerance. Women who are happy to stay with an asshole are usually right-wing women, meanwhile left-wing women give more of a shit and remove said asshole from their lives completely. For women who aren’t too into politics, it will still likely differ based on where their friends and family sort of lean. Right-wing people as a whole are more likely to reinforce pa…

There’s not a considerably large amount of women who like Jack Doherty, especially in comparison to men. Didn’t even know who the fuck he was until two days ago. The ones who do like him don’t care about getting a nice guy; they are people who would do anything for a celebrity to step on them. They are not the same demographic of women as the ones who actually want a good partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/25 03:20 AM

Nah, I wouldn’t say so. I’m immediately drawn to certain types I find attractive, as a lot of women are. It’s not that I’m not open to more, but I don’t have an urge to explore a wide variety of men. I’m pretty consistent with style as well. Occupation doesn’t really factor into it at all for me
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 07:53 AM
2

While you’ve certainly got some aspects wrong, I overall agree. Like, biologically, we do not want sex as much as men do. However, I must note that we have grown to learn that sex is both an act of love and an act of affirmation. Therefore, obviously, we’d like to have sex with someone who we love or who makes us feel affirmed. Sex can be a tool for some women for sure, but it’s far from the main purpose. It’s for intimacy and affection
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 04:36 AM

That’s super interesting, however it’s completely normal to not feel or think anything when you see an unremarkable stranger. You don’t know anything about them, aside the fact you don’t consider them a potential partner, which, again, is completely normal. I’d argue that it’s far stranger to immediately be disgusted after just looking at a human being.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 12:55 AM

That applies to situations, not people. It’s for people who embody the bystander effect by not caring if someone’s been hurt or killed, or if the environment is getting worse or whatever. Indifference towards a stranger is entirely normal; you don’t know anything about them and they don’t excite you, so they’re just a person you can’t and don’t judge.

It became popular culture in kindergarten when we’d say all the boys are stinky, and when the boys would say all the girls are stinky. The division has always been there, even if it doesn’t initially mean anything. The difference as you grow older is that adult women can get away with saying they hate men, whilst adult men have to say they hate women behind their backs because there’s a considerably larger proportion of violence and hatred towards women. Being a man who goes overseas is not in itself weird. Nobody thinks it’s weird. However, bringing home a young, foreign woman who speaks barely any of your language and having her adapt to a new culture just reeks of power exertion. I don’t think it can be considered “desperate” when you realise that you are attracted to and would enjoy being committed to someone of the same sex, despite possible discrimination you might face for it. A limited dating pool doesn’t mean women can’t just go for a man anyways (or stay single), if they’re straight and fully aware.

She’s linking several reasons altogether. As for a possible explanation; some people are attracted to a higher income, which gen z women are more capable of having than a genz man. If we took every factor out of the equation besides attraction to money, a woman would be more likely to opt for another woman in this scenario. However, this is the real world so of course other reasons would be intertwined with this, which is why she listed several.

Girl men being less equal than women (in the dating scene specifically) is what men on this sub have been preaching for agessss 🤦 she’s just saying that they’ve become more “unequal” due to lack of education, lower income, etc. And women statistically are more lesbian/bi than ever before
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 02:07 AM

God, then what the fuck is the redpill view of women? I hear they are lacking in personality and are highly materialistic. I didn’t bring up personality because I thought it wouldn’t need to be addressed. Is that all it is? Women are boring and unaware of themselves? If so, that makes up almost the entirety of the human species. Or is it that they are deceitful when it benefits them, an overwhelmingly common trait for men as well?

/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 09:24 AM

Eh, I’d say most of my male friends are “unattractive” or at least struggle with improving their appearance and getting dates. The men I am talking about, I’m not even friends with. I’ll admit I probably pay more attention to them because of their status/popularity, but it doesn’t undermine the fact the girls in those social circles are much more conservative in their behaviour
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 09:21 AM

I think you misunderstood; the amount of men I know that sleep with a lot of women is higher in proportion to the amount of women I know that sleep with a lot of men. I do agree that there is a much larger amount of undesirable men who can’t get a date in comparison to attractive men that sleep around a lot
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 08:33 AM

I struggle to see where women deny these behaviours, though. I think if you asked a woman outright if she was shallow, she’d probably deny it because it sounds pretty hurtful. But if she were asked if she takes bias in dating, considers specific factors, engages in certain behaviours, etc, there’d likely be an honest answer that “reveals” how picky or inconsiderate of certain men she might be. I think this issue comes from a moral viewpoint, since some men think high standards = superficial. How…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 08:27 AM

I would agree with you, but “getting the experience” doesn’t mean whoring yourself out. I wasn’t explicit but the girls I know who are dating for that purpose are genuinely committed to their partners and that “drop for the better option” mindset is something I’ve yet to see. I also just don’t understand why men of my age who are sleeping around with terrible women who are conventionally attractive don’t get the same heat; I’ve actually seen it happen moreso than the other

It’s not controversial at all. However, I do not want to date a 6’1 shredded and rich football player or whatever the fuck, because that’s not the small percentage I am attracted to. I’m attracted to those kinda awkward but charming guys with feminine faces and a very specific amount of muscle mass, preferably less than 5’10. So obviously I argue when people get the specifics of it wrong. There’s not one man out there that’s universally attractive to women

I did this the very first time I got cold approached, because I’d just moved to the city and had never been asked so directly before. Eh, if you live in Europe that makes sense. 18-25 year old men in Australia, depending on whether or not they give a shit, can actually be really successful in, like, “dressing for the female gaze”. Suits are expensive and saved for formal occasions, they’re intended to be complimented even if they don’t look particularly great. In my area, men still get compliments for their style or for other clothing pieces that accentuate “desirable” parts of them, like waist, forearms, chest, etc, even if t…

I agree to an extent. There’s a lot of ways to dress to yourself as a man that women find particularly attractive, but men either think it looks bad or that they’d be judged for wearing something like that, which could be true. Some parts of the younger generations have it figured out, which gives me hope, but I think men overall underestimate the things they can get away with wearing. Or have the completely wrong idea of what’s fashionable (at least in the eyes of a woman)
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 11:20 AM

You’d be surprised how much a flattering hairstyle and clothing does for someone’s face. You might not look into it very closely, but women study this sort of stuff religiously. A part of looks that people don’t realise can “make” or “break” whether or not you’re ugly is the size of your head in proportion to your neck and shoulders. If you work fashion into trying to minimise one or two of those factors, women will 1. See that you’re stylish, which IS something we value 2. Notice the good parts…

The problem with this is that most men don’t actually put much thought into what looks flattering on their bodies. Cause for a casual day, it’s just a t shirt and some pants. A night out with the boys? Maybe a buttoned t shirt and some pants. And for a special occasion, I guess we’ll go in with a suit, might even be fitted. Issue? That’s still gonna do nothing for your form, maybe even accentuate the bad parts unless you’re super lanky. If you ignore the focus on boobs and butt, a lot of general…

I don’t think many people on here want to confess that they do LMAO. I’ll say that I’ve benefitted from being able to attract men without having to try too hard, but that can definitely not be considered a privilege for some women (some displays of attraction can easily turn into harassment)

This is honestly not something that’s crossed my mind. Completely twisting the question to give an answer, but: I’d prefer a man who values each of his currently owned resources (basically not mindlessly spending money, putting effort into something he cares about), and is comfortable with either obtaining or not obtaining resources based on his goals. So basically neither of these

“Chadfish” and “beta bucks” are making me cackle dawg. There’s a big difference between men and women’s sex drives, it’s factually true. Men’s hormones are raging and a very large amount of them masturbate everyday. Women’s hormone levels shift throughout the month and many find themselves only being horny for about 3-10 days during that. Some women act horny in a performative way while with a spouse or someone they’re attracted to, but are physically uninterested. Some women also don’t act that…

Nope. Women will never be as horny as men, it’s a biological fact. As others have stated, we already have access to condoms and other preventatives that make our current world pretty sex-positive. The high body count thing has always confused me a bit though. I still don’t think the elimination of STDs would change that. The only things that would probably be altered are gay sex, which would be at an all-time high, and rape, because there would be no reason for rapists to “hold back”, even thoug…

Yes but not people see too much of an issue with the tradition besides you, OP, and a very small minority of other men. Progress likely isn’t going to happen because most people are satisfied with the current way of proposing.

I was talking about myself and my own opinion because I’m narcissistic?? Nothing to do with other women

It’s completely possible! It’s just not the entire population of women. Men also like being led, especially in marriages
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 08:56 AM

Do you speak for all women or just the population you made up in your head? Women lead equally in most marriages, usually even more when it comes to decision-making. This isn’t 1950.

Hello? Kneeling for 5-30 seconds is a singular act that will never be repeated (still don’t know why you think it’s such a degrading act). Wearing an engagement ring 24/7 shows a lot more devotion, c’mon. Anyways, you referring to men as the “leader” and women as the “follower” shows an insane disproportion of power. I can tell that you do not consider both as equal.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 08:24 AM

The truth is that men and women are equal. I also believe that marriage is mostly stupid, but the kneel signifies devotion which is an important aspect of a healthy marriage. Women show their devotion by wearing the ring. It’s all a bit silly to me, but it’s just a tradition that you’re reading way too far into.

I can’t believe you used dramione fanfiction as an example that’s actually hilarious

This is actually making me realise proposals are kinda like a knight dubbing a squire, which is significantly cooler than whatever bullshit you were saying. Idgaf if it sounds pathetic to you, I now find marriage proposals sexy

Of course there’s no specific way to treat someone as a human being. However, there’s a big difference between thinking of what someone is like in bed and thinking of a what someone might be thinking or feeling, upon first meeting. Technically it’s not wrong to have those thoughts, but women would feel much less dehumanised if they knew they were being perceived by the things they do and say. I don’t think men think about other men in a sexual manner when they look at them. You can’t apply two d…

Wdym “there’s no such thing as an actual human being”? Do you want me to look at you as a sexual object, or a person?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/25 04:12 AM

Eh, I haven’t read anything like that but I assume the sexualisation would probably pertain to the rest of the man as well in that type of media, not just his boner

I know, man. I’m just adding to discussion, not trying to attack the seperate ways in which women and men decide who they’ll date. They vary tremendously and it’s hard for anyone to end up truly satisfied. I definitely agree that men are capable of focusing on their partners but it’s not always the case, same goes with women.

I’ll also speak on my experience (I’m 19 so everyone I know is horny, you can take it with a grain of salt) – the men I’ve known and dated actually lack devotion in relationships as well because they are less interested in finding someone “perfect”; they just want to find someone. Because of their interest in basically any woman, men typically watch porn and view other women as sexually attractive while in relationships, which isn’t a crime at all, but their female partners will want the focus t…

Okay but the women don’t want that and don’t really care. Dicks are 100% sexualised in other contexts, but in porn most women watching are likely looking at the woman because that’s the focal point of the video.

I love most of this message but it’s kind of heartbreaking to say that people’s values have so drastically changed over the past few decades. Self importance has become so popular amongst younger people. In a society where the older generations have only made things difficult in terms of not just love and relationships but also liveability, there has become less of a need to fulfil a duty, and more of a desire to put oneself first. I think devotion is beautiful, but it’s rare to see that sort of…

Are you stupid? I know this is mean to say, but the men on tinder with 0 matches are not very visually attractive. That’s not anyone’s type at all! It’s unfair that men tend to be more ugly than women, but also women are not going to fit you into one of the various standards of taste they have if you can’t meet a single requirement, especially on dating apps where you can’t see anything outside of visuals and a couple of non-insightful quips. Also, it will never be more evenly distributed becaus…

Yeah but it’s always “some men”. I’ve seen men on here say that whenever they see women walking down the street they immediately think of what they would be like as “a sexual being” (no joke, I literally read that exact thing). Meanwhile women think of attractive men as actual people, unless they fit that certain standard you described
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 03:03 AM

Yeah but most porn is made by men, who want “the power of the penis” or whatever bullshit to be the main sexual trait of men. Let us see your toned ass, thighs and chest and then women will be involved. Otherwise, it’s not the sexualisation of men, it’s just a focus on dick that nobody’s really that into
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/25 02:58 AM

Counterpoint: men need to start sexualising themselves in a way that attracts women. I don’t understand how you guys see the success of male kpop idols and those alike who wear slutty croptops and tight shirts, and don’t immediately get into the revealing fashion community. You must experience peak sexualisation PLEASE, put in the effort

I want someone who will tell all their shit to me and I can comfort them in an affectionate way, and vice versa. I’d also like to have someone that makes me feel loved and can understand me. I feel bad because I don’t let my friends “understand me” because I’m actually seeking romantic affection 90% of the time when I’m upset. I genuinely don’t know why I’m not dating someone right now, or why I’m not letting my friends and family look after me
