It's capped at £9250 a year for home students no matter the course (international students get absolutely shafted it's crazy some courses are £40,000 a year for them). You don't have to repay it if you earn below £20,000ish (can't remember the exact number) and it gets wiped after 35? years. They are valid and so are you. I don't think telling high schoolers that at 26, they will potentially suddenly change and discourage them from uni.
