I would have ghosted him as soon as he implied I was crazy, at that moment I already know that he has such a high level of insolence I could never stand

This is an amazing comment but it's so heartbreaking at the same time to realize how badly women are gaslit. Men are never bullied into giving women they don't like attention or dates, or pressured into carrying children and damaging their bodies just for their spouse.

Right? If he's so disgusted then he would leave, he's just trying to make her feel bad so she doesn't realize her own potential and ditch his sorry ass

Wow that's an awesome suggestion! I often make notes in my head but it's so easy to forget your initial misgivings if you don't see them written down. Thanks for the tip!

Super supportive both financially and emotionally, good head on his shoulders, mature - Guys like this typically understand what they bring to the table, and know they are a rarity Lol the absolute state of dating in modern society, these traits are the bare minimum, but even men admit now that they are rare.

I find it uncomfortable that they used an Asian man for the ugly guy. I like to see representation but it's well known that asian males have difficulties dating, did they really need to frame this character as a catfish who could never attract the female lead with his regular appearance?

I think it is partly because women are pressured into relationships in order to not become a "crazy cat lady/spinster". There's definitely a stigma that women face for being single for a long time versus men being a life-long bachelor for example.

Idk, I've seen this post circulating for many years and I still think it would have been much better for her to eat his breakfast and take back that game she brought him, and only leave the keys. Also, if she omitted that last sentence about how good he had it with her for 5 years, seems a bit too optimistic to think that since he obviously didn't care that much about her in the first place before choosing to cheat.

It's not shown but it is briefly mentioned (not graphically either). That part had to be the most horrifying thing to me out of everything. I definitely would not recommend the show to any SA survivors or anyone sensitive to mentions of SA.

I can't imagine that this loser has any friends by the way he sets up plans "Facetime me at 12 tonight" WTF is that a command? I wouldn't even tolerate my friends talking to me like that. She should have cut him off by that comment alone and spared herself that absolute disrespect.

I loved this show and wish I had more to watch honestly. It had some badass female characters that were interesting, realistic, practical, problematic/flawed, and contributive to the plot and the games. I loved that there was no romance, unrealistic sexual themes, or typical Mary Sue or beautiful characters. I personally love dark and violent shows but I'm often turned off with how weakly they portray women, but this show was not the case. As for the sexism in the show exhibited by the contestan…

I'm sorry but she is so naive, ignoring how he obviously never cared for her why is she envious of the new gf? Hellooo that young girl is dating some washed up guy 11 years older than her when she could be dating a younger guy! That's just fucking weird, especially at such a young age, is sis that brainwashed by the idea of this guy to think that what he is doing is okay? The new gf is wasting her life and so is OP

Reminds me of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt... they were together for 10 years before only being married for 2, and after they divorced he dated a woman in her 20s while he's over 50 lmao. Nothing good comes out of dating someone who thinks that having a forever gf is acceptable.

I saw an instagram video with a similar energy where this man lovingly pets and dotes on his dog before leaving while the only thing his wife gets is a "k bye", the title of the video was even "how I saw goodbye to my dog vs. my wife". I think I was the only one in the comments who thought it was fucked up, imagine being cursed with a husband that doesn't even like you as much as a dog

Why do you even want to date if you're watching porn? Porn started off as a substitute for people that couldn't get it in real life and now it's become something that is expected and normal in a relationship?

I just had to look at this guy's instagram once to see that he has an unhealthy obsession with her. The way he talks about her is just plain disgusting and paradoxical- one time saying she is an example of the toxic ideal female body and how dare she not promote women having bigger muscles etc to then saying that her body is not that impressive and that anyone can look good in yoga pants LMAO. And he's always commenting on her specific body features too like eww

I'm honestly so scared for her that she is showing her face on a video like this. While I'm glad that women are sharing their bad experiences and reflecting on their pickme behaviour in order to help other women, I think revealing your face when talking about previous LVM experiences is not a good look both for future employment and also if you want to avoid harassment from more LVM, especially online.

You're spot on about how hard their PR team must work. Though I think Arnold has a relationship with his love child, Jackie Chan basically burnt all of his personal relationships to a crisp (with his wife, his son, his daughter that he never acknowledged). But either way, they're both pieces of shit for doing that to their families. It really annoys me that both of these men are considered so "wholesome" by the rest of reddit... The one thing that really surprised me was the fact that their weekly stipend for clothes would be reduced if managers knew that they were saving that money instead of spending it... Out of all the other nasty things (pushed drugs, orgies and plastic surgery), this one feels like such an alarm bell that they really wanted these women to be stuck there and dependant on a high-cost lifestyle... Ooooh is the one you're talking about the one where the parents would drive the kids along to houses for the mom to do sex work and then come out bloodied and bruised, only for the dad to ignore it and continue to force her to do sex work afterwards? And the commenter even said that they would be devastated if their dad wasn't really their dad, because they grieved for them when he died, and yet they have all this anger and disgust towards their mother, like wtf.

I think erotic lit is just as bad as regular porn (without the exploitation of real women and children), because it is also written by men with depraved fetishes. You can find really sick and twisted erotic stories written by men on some erotic lit sites and they either turn your stomach or push your fetishes more into the extreme. And if anything, erotic lit is more extreme because you know the characters in the stories are not actors, so it gives some of these sickos even more inspiration when…

Thanks sis, but I actually gave up on the idea of guys outside of my own ethnic/cultural background. I'm not saying that all interracial marriages are bad or anything, but I find I was either fetishized by guys outside my culture or felt like I was a second option to girls from their own culture they couldn't get because the guys were weird in some way. 100% true. I personally gave up on thinking that I would marry out of my culture because of concerns of fetishization/not being able to relate to them, but I rest assured that there are good men from my ethnic background if I really look. I think I have actually seen a trend recently of fewer interracial marriages (at least where I live, with more immigration) so the weird idolization of white people is much less than what it used to be when the population was more homogenous, which is another r…

Same with South Asians. I used to hear this growing up from guys in my community, and despite me not really understanding at the time, it still felt really gross to hear that they would not marry their own ethnicity and treat white women like they're some kind of trophy. I remember watching a nofap video by a girl talking about her experiences with nofap, and all the comments were from men either saying that they broke their streak by masturbating to the girl in the video, or were talking down the girl's struggles and saying that women don't struggle as much as men so there was no point in her making the video lmao
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/01/21 10:16 PM

100%, this is why anti-porn communities like nofap are so disappointing. You'd think that the men in those communities would be more sympathetic to the plight of women because of pornography, but they're just as misogynistic as men who still watch porn, and only gave up porn because of their dicks and because they belief nofap gives them super powers to attract women...

Tbh I don't really look down on sex workers, I don't really care what other people do with their bodies. I'm not anti-sex work because of religion or because I think I'm better than people that engage in sex work, I'm anti-sex work because it contributes to the abuse of women and children worldwide, and it's used by the strong to oppress the weak. Sex work brainwashes people (including past me) into thinking that it is empowering when in reality it's just playing further into patriarchy

Someone else said this but I'll say it again because it really opened my eyes: you didn't have bad intentions going into those things, you were abused and it's on those assholes who took advantage of you when you were down and looking for affection. You were manipulated and you were the victim. Don't let their mistakes cloud your vision anymore because in reality they were the ones who have done wrong.

What a punch in the gut for that poor woman. And lol, am I the only one who thinks "Mary" did this shit on purpose??? Ikr? I might be reading too much into things because I know that she was probably trying to relate what she's saying to what adolescent females growing up envision. Or the women that do go there get sexually harassed and they never want to reveal their gender or go back. Seriously, 4chan for example isn't specifically a male only site but if you mention that you're a woman then all the replies will be "post tits or get out" 🙄

I feel like he's getting there in spirit, but needs some refinement in terminology and delivery (like women are human beings, why does it matter that they are daughters in order to be nice to them?).

People change only bc of themselves Exactly, and this is why I justify leaving people if they don't fit my ideals. Maybe from a non-FDS perspective it looks mean but in reality you're respecting their autonomy by not trying to mold them, which is both a waste of time for yourself and kind of gross in a way.

Same here, I think having gone through that I truly know now that no amount of encouragement, nagging or cOmMuNiCAtiOn can change someone unless they themselves have the drive to change. Everyone can change into HVP if they so choose to, but I think they might have to go through some struggles in order to want to change, which might be the case if more women were hold higher standards and treat theirselves like the HVW they can be.

I really hate this shit, I don't want to snuggle with strangers and I may be reaching but it feels like snuggling is being commodified in the same way casual sex is lol, like now it expected for you to snuggle platonically. That or it's meant to lead to sex (which is most likely).

Does it really? I'm a Canadian and always had this fantasy of joining the army but the recent Vanessa Guillen cases are making me rethink things...

This may be petty but this was a large reason why I lost interest in French culture when I was learning the language. I abhor infidelity and to be in a country where it was so commonplace that the presidents could openly have mistresses was so unbearable for me to continue to have an interest in the language and culture.

I love Ayesha Curry, she's such a strong woman that won't settle for anything less and people hate on her for living her life and being a good role model to other women. She deserves all the love she gets from her HVM :)

Of course the more prized woman is also light-skinned too, like what a coincidence... I really detest this concept that's common in previously-colonized groups of people; when they denigrate their own women and then see white women as the ultimate prize. I see this a lot in black and south asian/middle eastern communities especially. Not only is it dehumanizing POC women but it also objectifies white women as well. It's so fucking gross.

I'm really thankful that I never dated as a teenager when I read stories like this, so much of society condones these kinds of age-gap relationships. I myself used to crush on guys so much older than me and it's only now that I'm in my 20s I realize the absolute creepiness of dating someone in high school when you're not in high school yourself. Only immature losers who can't get a date with someone their own age has to resolve to groom children instead wtf.

This post summarizes the MOST important thing I realized while reading FDS for the first time. Before, I used to read TRP and 4chan; I pushed it off as me just being curious but I really did internalize that type of logic and felt that men were at a disadvantage in dating, so I always tried to be extra polite to men even when they would make really uncomfortable advances or comments to me. In the end though it always made me feel like shit but men were so disadvantaged due to evil feminism and w…

Right? I can't believe I used to read those stories, I absolutely cannot do that anymore, it messes with my head to see how naive (and abusive) some people are.

Same with so-called "breast envy", all these male authored media accounts show women being jealous of other girls with bigger breasts when I literally have never heard another girl mention something like this. I have never ever experienced this either, I think men experience dick envy with other men and then project it onto women because they're so into boobs that of course flat chested girls would be miserable about it??

The funny thing is that if you spend some time on a relationships sub (you know those subs that are full of moderate liberals that usually advocate for “sex work”), they for some reason REALLY don’t like guys that were johns in the past. It doesn’t matter if the girl was a prostitute for 20 years, any guy should get over it, but if a guy bought sex once it changes the way they are perceived, and I’ve seen a bunch of people defend sex work while saying that they would never date anyone who had bo…

There was actually a court case similar to this I've read about where an ex sent an email from their ex-partner's email rejecting a once in a lifetime scholarship to this super prestigious music academy. In the end the judge actually ruled that the ex owed their ex-partner at least 200k because they lost out on so much earning potential because of that nasty thing they did. I really hope this girl is able to sue her ex bf similar to that case, it's crazy evil that people do things like this.

Is it weird to say that I kind of prefer those kinds of dynamics? I like to be the one giving affection rather than receiving, I think I like the space it gives me to decide on whether I want affection/be affectionate or not.

The things that really kills me is that he doesn’t even make any semblance of an apology, it’s just “you can leave you if you want to”. No “I did an awful thing” or even “I’d understand if you leave me.” He doesn’t own up to shit on how he harmed his girl and she just takes it 💀

It is and LVM are really protective over it, I remember the hate and vitriol that r/StopGaming got because LVM were so insecure that people would see their hobby as something addictive and possibly detrimental.

I think they have to be men, even the most pickmeisha of women wouldn't see harm in sitting in some chair, this uproar over a gaming chair specifically is a mentality mostly found in men. Plus I think him mentioning the "exhaustion" he feels that requires him to game for hours specifically appeals to other LVM.

Thank you! I always felt out of place and wrong for thinking this, even when I was a pickme there was something that bothered me about having kids with someone who wouldn't marry me first. I would however have kids through a sperm donor if I can't get married, but with a boyfriend? No way.

He probably lives with his mother for free and still can’t afford a $100 room??? If you can’t afford things to be done the proper way or you’re too cheap to, you shouldn’t be having sex, what he did was such a LVM thing to do, he totally disrespected that poor lady.

It’s so dehumanising constantly hearing comparisons to food, it’s like people are trying to make your racial difference more palatable by using substitutions of well-loved brown-coloured food like wtf.

Definitely agree with you, the way they sound I think most of them are made up by men and circulate because it's what men want women to learn to tolerate. But I used to be more convinced and mildly (like extremely mildly) emulated this too, I'm sure there are some other poor girls out there that also bought into what they thought were normal OLD protocols to expect from men.

I have to thanks FDS because I’ve been taken on walk dates without me knowing this entire time 😳 Men always it seem like it was something just to catch up as friends and I thought I was crazy for reading into things and feeling like they were trying to ask me out when they proposed going to museums, but little did I know that they were testing me out on our “casual” walks all along! I’m never walking anywhere again with a guy, honestly without this sub idk what I would do because I’m apparently …

Ooof I needed to see this today, but at what point do you stop wishing to impress them? I don't even talk to them anymore and I know they don't gaf about me but I still have this urge to impress them or even make them want me again but I know it's toxic and I'm not fully over it.

I have a friend who did something like this, for her LVM boyfriend's birthday she went all out buying him clothes, watches, reservations for dinner which were $70 per person and before he could return the favour on her birthday he broke up with her for someone else :/ And he STILL hits her up sometimes (and hits me up too...). Seeing that just made me hesitate on every going all out for anyone, especially someone you're dating- sometimes they just take your kindness as a sign that they can walk …

Lol is it weird to say that I am the opposite? I don't mind, in fact I would actually prefer it if I was also at the same age because I think I'm the same way. For me it would be even weirder if he's had tons of gfs and been engaged/married before, like culturally it is considered odd to me, personally I am also sort of picky on who I get with so I prefer someone with the same mindset.
